I enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting. The earnestness and sincerity of Sakura and Haruki's relationship is perhaps the film's greatest strength. So is its choice to center on the truth that humans were created as relational beings, who need love and community to thrive. Watching Haruki slowly open himself to including others in his life was moving. As was the film's implicit message to viewers - to treasure the world's beauty and the ones we love with the days we are given.

That said, what prevents me from giving this a higher score was the comparative weakness of the third act. ... Most of the right pieces were there, but they weren't executed quite as well. In particular, the animation in the planets/stars sequence has not aged well - which I found distracting from the emotional weight of the interaction there.

This anime surprised me to say the least as I was not expecting it to be a good isekai donghua. Donghua can be an acquired taste to say the least but even though the animation was a little weird the story is what really sold me on this series and is why I will continue with season 2. I have always loved the isekai trope revolving around being isekai'd into another world as something different than you original were. IE: Sword, Slime, Pig, Vending Machine etc. So it was fun to get to see a VRMMORPG where the MC gets trapped in the game as ... a skeleton monster. Not only was this series very comedic and very meta about the gaming experience but it had a very interesting story line revolved around our MC. If you are looking for a fun isekai that gives off Sword Art Online vibes then I think you will like Monster but Wild.

Well.... The story of an assassin/child solider of a secret organization is something wild to turn into a slice of life. The implication alone from the initial setup would usually make it seem like this is gonna be one of those sad anime. Or maybe that's an opinion i got by myself.... They had plenty of good ideeas to play ball with, but they decided to stab it and watch it deflate .

The story features Xue, one of the best assassins hired by the secret organization Shadow Wizard Money Gang- i mean Dragon Nine ,my apologies. Dragons and stealth don't go hand in hand by ... the way.

In truth, the whole show felt somewhat off. They clearly didn't intend for the story to not be taken seriously to some extent ,but they couldn't manage to make any one scene have weight. Everything was surface level,from the backstory to the execution and the implication of that supposed dark background. Half-way through they brought the whole Yuki's sister plot point,and just as fast they forgot about it.And most of the story was told from Yuki's POV, but then we suddenly switch to the MC towards the end.... My god the MC..... i honestly prefer the simply dense protags over this guy..... Who's just terrible. We get the fact that Yuki's tied to the family in a way or another first episode.And then in the last scenes MC's acting like his father hearing about her is some crazy conspiracy . And the way he thinks and acts... Gave me a stroke. But hey, the visuals were nice ... at times !

And the ending? THAT ENDING? WHAT?

Honestly there's nothing besides the good visuals and the art keeping this anime afloat.... The premise could've taken a hundred different more intresting paths. They choose the only one that results in mediocrity. I guess if you turn your brain off and just look at the pretty pictures you could enjoy it, otherwise.... Avoid it man.... And i really hate saying this since i had big expectations from this anime.

Go Go Loser Ranger isn’t exactly the most original concept out there, as it’s basically The Boys meets Power Rangers, but damn are the first three episodes a blast.

After that, though, the animation quality noticeably dips. To be fair, it’s not backed by a big-name studio, so that was somewhat expected. What’s more disappointing is the decline in story quality, pacing, character development, and overall composition. Mid way it starts to feel a bit repetitive and exhausting.

Episode three had me hooked so hard I binge-watched the whole series, only to end up a bit let down. Every scene feels like it’s played out the same ... way, like the creators only know one formula for story arcs. For example, D does something offscreen, and then the next episode shows what he does, even though it seems like he didn’t have time to actually do it or hear about said thing. But hey, anime time, so I can let that slide.

That said, it’s genuinely enjoyable if you just switch off your brain and go with the flow. There are lots of powers and plot points thrown in typical Power Rangers style, without much explanation. So if you’re someone who likes everything clearly laid out, you might find it frustrating.

Episodes 4 through 8 drag a bit, recycling the same dull formula I mentioned earlier, which hurt my overall enjoyment. But thankfully, episodes 9 through 12 pick up nicely and the show ends on a strong note.

If you can get through the slow middle stretch, I think you’ll have a good time.

Would I recommend it? Probably not. But if you’re curious, give it a shot. You might enjoy it more than I did!

... There seems to be some kind of perfect storm of enraged fans of the source material and MT fans that inexplicably hate this show contributing to its undeserved abysmal rating.

From the perspective of someone who enjoys some occasional isekai slop, this one is better written than most. The pace is slow compared to others like it, but never boring.

The animation quality has been heavily complained about, but I've seen worse. The fight scenes are fairly static and fluid animation comes in short bursts. The thing is, everything is competently drawn and well composed. People talk about it like it was made carelessly. It was made with care by talented people, but under time and budget constraints.

All in, it's worth your time if you don't mind fight scenes being more or less skipped in favor of better animated everything else. As a side note, it does feel similar to MT in the beginning but it's far better by omitting the gooner debauchery alone. One of the highest praises I can give this show is that it is utterly lacking in "fan service".

while i usually absolutely love avant-garde stuff, it didnt feel earned here, it felt less like a plot twist and more like a justification?
then the dystopia hits and you're not sure what to feel about it anymore
you will potentially either hate it or love it for that, but personally i just dont know what to feel, and a ... lot of things ended up a bit confused in the writing as well as missed potential, they set up a character we get attached to and look forward to seeing only to make her relevance a total hindrance

Knowing this was made by ufotable, the trashy, rapey ecchi was absolutely bizarre (and I it kind of hilarious) to see. They also animated the most heinous (and maybe the only) green fart blast ive ever seen in an anime.

Those elements were certainly unsettling, but in an unpleasant way rather than in a way where id feel like i gained something by watching it. Its only made more bizarre by the occasional emotional outbursts with swelling dramatic music in the background.

Im sure this is heavily truncated from the source material, and there must be some great horror and deep themes about the ugliness of ... humanity in it, but this adaptation was frankly just stupid and gross... which the poignant final line does NOT make up for... lmao.

Lo intenté ver por primera vez hace varios meses y quizás por la calidad en la que lo encontré al inicio no me encanto después de 1 capitulo. Me lo recomendaron tanto que decidí darle otra oportunidad y no me arrepiento para nada, ambos la historia y los personajes resultaron ser mucho más complejos de lo que esperaba.

Mi unica queja real es que no logre encontrarlo en buena calidad pues no parece estar en ninguna plataforma de streaming por el momento, de hecho, casi me equivoco y veo el spin off. Fuera de eso el choque entre la temática de "Magic Girls" con el ambiente ... oscuro por colores deslavados y muchas veces ligeramente "vacío" hace que la atmosfera se sienta hasta cierto punto un poco falsa, lo cual vuelve aún más preocupante los encuentros con las brujas, sus "dimensiones" están llenas de elementos que terminan siendo una mezcla entre lo tierno y perturbador, en esos momentos el estilo de dibujo cambia totalmente a algo fuera de un anime lo cual se siente único y de nuevo, perfectamente perturbador.

Al principio no le tuve mucha fe a Madoka, y gracias a ligeros spoilers pude inferir la habilidad de Homura desde los primeros episodios, aunque creo que fuera de quitarle a mi experiencia, siento que le agrego el poder ver como todas sus decisiones y forma de actuar encajaban con mi idea de lo que seria el plot twist. Fuera de Homura, Mami me gustó muchísimo al inicio, me gusto lo mucho que es una ligera referencia a Gilgamesh (Mi personaje favorito de Fate), no solo por sus habilidades sino también por su destino, el cual claramente no me esperaba, pero fue tan buena la ejecución que no puedo odiarlo a pesar de mi cariño por el personaje

Con solo 12 capítulos creo que se puede terminar bastante rápido, la verdad si me tome mi tiempo, pero creo que fácilmente puedes ver los últimos 5 en un mismo dia. La historia agarra muchísima potencia por ahi del capítulo 3, y creo que (como yo en un inicio) si no ves al menos los primeros 3 capítulos no podrías juzgar correctamente si te va a gustar el anime o no.

Me encanto, creo que, si me lo llegaron a pintar como un "Devilman meets Magic Girls", y aunque no diria que llega a ese nivel para mi, si fue un muy bien anime.

Days and days of badass Shirou fanservice.
Seems pretty ambitious to build a new Shirou from scratch in one movie, but they totally knocked it out of the park here with a variation on the character that feels right at home with the other versions of him. His ideals (or lack thereof) shine blindingly bright in the desolate world of this movie.

The only flaw in the experience for me was that I was a little put off by how different Kiritsugu seemed compared to how he should be after saving Shirou. Though perhaps it was a necessary sacrifice in order to have Shirou learn to love ... his imouto on his own.

The big highlight other than Shirou was Shinji showing up for 5 minutes and still managing to be the most spectacularly fucked up irredeemable rat bastard in this universe. His classic line from this movie (youll know it when you see it) gave me a good out of place laugh amongst all the despair.

Its been a couple weeks since I watched this and I still cry when I listen to the Emiya theme from it and think about Shirous speech to Julian before the final battle. For that reason I can't give less than a 10/10.

Huge, HUGE boner for this movie. Oath Under Snow was great, but the lack of Illya and friends left me wanting. Luckily this movie delivers on everything I expected from a Prisma Illya movie, and brings the themes of the story to new heights.

The transformations are better than ever, the fights are amazingly animated, each of our loli heroes get some great moments to shine, and the message at the end resonated deeply within me.
I love how Illya at her core is just like her original Stay Night counterpart in of what she wants to convey (in Heavens Feel specifically), but this series ... lets her express those things in a new way as her own badass shounen protagonist.

What really pushed this to a 10 out of 10 for me was the message I mentioned earlier. No spoilers, but when the mystery around the antagonist finally untangled I was shocked by how much I felt for him, and I think any depressed Otaku who's come this far into this series would probably feel the same.

Basically, if you like this series unironically, you will LOVE this movie.
Thank GOD they didnt let Shirou steal the MC spot. I mean, I knew they wouldn't really do that but still, I got a little scared after the last movie.

Fireball Charming is a prequel series to Fireball, a series of 3D anime shorts about a spoiled robot princess named Drossel von Flügel, and her robot butler, Gedächtnis. It's a comedy, with every episode focused on whatever absurd topic Drossel and Gedächtnis stumble upon.

The humor isn't for everyone, the best way I can describe it is surreal. Most attempts at a laugh are usually made as wordplay mixed with puns delivered as quickly as possible, which may or may not sometimes be lost in translation. Each episode is around a minute and a half, so there's little harm in giving a couple a shot to ... see if you'd enjoy it.

The 3D visuals live up to the title and are quite charming, I honestly prefer the dated look compared to the newer 2017~2020 seasons.

On the surface, there is no plot. We get tidbits of lore via random statements but they are rarely elaborated on and when they are it's usually for a joke. It's similar to a series like ENA, where it seems to be illogical nonsense that gives you nothing but questions but as the series progresses you're given enough information to sort out events and form a timeline. Without getting into spoilers, this is actually to the series' benefit and the show does something pretty cool with it later on. I might be hyping it up too much as I went into this series with no expectations, so by the end of the franchise I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm unsure if I'd call this series a hidden gem but I think it's worth a watch. I highly recommend watching the seasons in this order:
Fireball Charming > Fireball > Fireball Humorous > Gebäude Bäude

People made a big stink about the animations drop in quality after episode 1 when this first came out. I won't lie, it definitely drops off, and its pretty horrible in places, but id say it fits the corny horror vibe of Junji Ito very well. The vibe I got from the beginning was more of a horror comedy mix, at least I found myself laughing at most of the creepy things from the start, so the animation being stilted was more of a plus than a downside for me in that regard. Then again, Im really not much of a stickler for "good" animation ... generally, so if its a problem for you then fair enough.

I think people may take Junji Ito a bit too seriously if they think he was robbed by this adaptation. He's a bit like Stephen King in that he pumps out a ton of horror and his work has a surprising amount of depth, but hes not afraid to make you laugh and there's a sort of whimsical absurdity to what happens in his work.

That comedy also makes the disturbing parts all the more unsettling when they finally do hit. Different people may find different parts disturbing, but for me episode 3 was where things really started to freak me out (something that hasn't happened for me with horror media for a very long time) and I was fully with Kirie chan in experiencing the horrors of this world.

Id also like to praise Ito's sense of the balance between lore and horror. He keeps the lore simple and never lets the show get boring by discussing it too much. You're getting most of what you need to know through the imagery.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this and how well it maintained its unique atmosphere given the amount of bad press it got, and id recommend it to anyone looking for a good short horror anime.

My experiences with this anime are not that very good since for a while I been not wanting to watcgh this anime since before I seen a lot of cli[s of gooner type sh$t and you may ask why did I watch it? because most people on my tikok videos were saying to watch it because it was "peak" and what I say after wacthing the whole season is very uncomfortable mosty because if your planning to watch this anime please for your socai life DONT WATCH THIS IN PUBLIC why you may ask? most of this anime is filed with fan service so I ... would say just watch this on your own if you have family or anyone who would see you as a werido if you are wacthing anything sus. but finally I would say this anime is pretty funny but the whole fan service and weird moments ruin this anime I won't say what they are for spoiler reasons but if your up for this wild ride be my guess but I would say if your trying to find a more funny anime that doesn't use fan service to make the jokes funny try to find a different anime but overall the anime made me really uncomfortable especially the last two episodes so I'm most not going to watch season 3

this is imo the better version of Tokyo Revengers. great battles are only the cherry on the cake; the best thing about this show is the character writing. i just fell in love with Sakura from ep. 1 because i can relate to his introverted character, the Furin School and its , Umemiya and the captains, and the of Sakura's class. the first season started great with the whole tournament-style battle against the neighbouring team, but season 2 dived deeper into the character development of Sakura and introduced new of Furin and fleshed out their characters. if you only here for fighting and ... delinquents, this is not the anime for you. It's about the characters and emotions, and this is exactly what makes this show so great. fell in love with Sakura and this show and watch s2 every week until this day. completely underated will consider reading the manga.

despite its huge popularity, this is one of my least favourite anime films. the story is barely explained, and nothing makes sense. no characters are fleshed out; it's just pure dark action. the animation is peak and iconic, but the story is dark for no reason other than to be dark, and it all grows exponentially bad with it, in the end ending in a bloodbath and disaster, but there are never stakes, and we never fully grasp why this is happening. good animation but a really bad plot.i watched it one time and understood almost nothing, and don't blame me; the film makes no ... effort to explain anything. It's definitely not a bad film, but it's not a good one either. a film with this level of animation with an actually consistent plot would have been too good to be true.

this is my favourite anime romance film. it perfectly depicts the journey of redemption of the protagonist from a bully to trying to become the friend of the girl he bullied. Beautiful animation and music and absolutely hateable side characters—the one girl is just the worst, but the chubby friend of the Protagonist is a real one. i just love these types of films; it deserves its popularity, absolutely, and despite no supernatural premise like in Your name or weathering with you its a perfect romance movie depicting two characters who have their own unique problems and have it both hard in life, falling in ... love and saving each other.

Violet evergarden the only people who hate this show are people with no emotion. it is episodic at its core. but has one shared theme of exploring human emotion and connection and showcases that through the growth of the main character understanding love and accepting death. this show is perfect for what it is; i have no complaints. i like episodic storytelling if there is one throughline narratively, and violet evergarden has that. there is no filler; every second of these 12 episodes contributes to the emotional themes and character growth of violet the animation and music are just beautiful. despite its short length, it's ... not a binge anime due to its episodic nature, and IMO, it's best watched over several days or weeks. the same people that hate on shows like this watch bad shows like code geass

This refreshingly honest romantic comedy explores the age-old question of whether men and women can truly be "just friends" through the lives of two childhood friends navigating adulthood. Unlike typical will-they-won't-they stories, the series stands out by realistically portraying the complexities of platonic relationships - the inside jokes, the unspoken boundaries, and that lingering "what if" that neither wants to acknowledge.

The strength lies in its relatable characters. The male lead isn't just a clueless nice guy, and the female lead avoids being a manic pixie dream girl. Their chemistry feels authentic, whether they're bickering over takeout or ... having those late-night conversations that accidentally get too deep. ing characters add meaningful perspectives without becoming caricatures.

While the animation style is simple, it serves the story well, with subtle facial expressions that speak volumes. The dialogue is sharp and natural, avoiding the overly dramatic monologues that plague many romance anime.

I didn't really enjoy the movie. While the emotional tone is consistent and the visuals are beautiful, the story itself felt quite predictable and, in my opinion, not particularly deep. The characters follow familiar tropes, and much of the plot unfolds in a way that didn't surprise me.

The only truly unexpected part was the twist at the end, which did catch me off guard. Still, even that wasn’t enough to leave a lasting impact. Overall, I wouldn't strongly recommend it. Because the story is just below average.

That said, it does have a few touching moments that some viewers might appreciate more than I did.

David Production has once again set the anime world ablaze with Fire Force Season 3, delivering a scorching continuation that cranks up the intensity, lore, and spectacle to new heights. From the very first episode, this season wastes no time plunging viewers back into the chaos of the Special Fire Force’s battle against the Evangelist’s apocalyptic machinations.

A few comedy beats (especially Tamaki’s "luck" gags) still feel tonally jarring mid-battle.

Some plot threads require prior knowledge; newcomers should start from Season 1.

Final Verdict:
With its jaw-dropping visuals, escalating stakes, and emotional character moments, Fire Force Season 3 is a ... near-perfect shounen sequel. Whether you’re here for the lore or just want to see Shinra kick flames at hypersonic speeds, this season delivers. 9/10 – A must-watch for action fans, especially on Animyne’s crisp streaming quality!

Watching Season 2 of Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan felt like rediscovering a favorite joke that’s somehow even funnier the second time around. From the moment I hit “play” on the first episode, I knew this was something special—something that topped what Season 1 had laid down. I laughed harder, smiled wider, and found myself glued to the screen in a way I didn’t fully expect. By episode 6, when brand-new faces appeared and beloved characters got even richer, I realized I was watching my favorite season of any comedy anime ever… and then, just like that, it was gone.

Season 2 starts off feeling comfortably familiar: ... Saiki still deadpans his way through absurd situations, his classmates still orbit around him like chaotic planets, and his psychic powers still offer endless comedy fodder. That initial familiarity—honestly—felt a little too safe. I thinking, “Okay, this is exactly like Season 1, but without that brand-new novelty.” And then, as if the author knew precisely what we needed, everything clicked in episode 6. Suddenly, fresh characters arrived (including my new “official best girl”), and the screen-time for our original ten or so core cast was expanded. Instead of introducing random side stories or filler gags, the series dove deeper into who these people really are—giving each joke more emotional weight and each punchline lasting impact. From that point on, everything felt supercharged. Season 2 didn’t just keep pace; it sprinted past expectations.

If there’s one thing Season 2 nails flawlessly, it’s the sense of brotherhood—for lack of a better word—among these characters. Riki “Aibro” Nendō remains the perfect comedic delinquent. He’s that guy who never even tries to get to school on time, yet somehow saunters in as cool as can be. No matter how tightly Saiki clamps down on his telepathy, Aibro’s mind just bounces off—making him simultaneously infuriating and oddly lovable. I still don’t know why I root for him so much, but once he’s on screen, I’m cheering. Teruhashi “Shining” Kokomi is Saiki’s greatest challenge. The way she convinces hundreds of people—including the FBI—to scramble around searching for someone she’s convinced is hopelessly in love with her is absolute comedic genius. Those scenes, where Saiki reacts so subtly yet so perfectly, had me in stitches.

Beyond them, everyone on the roster—whether it’s the elderly gym teacher so obsessed with muscles you can’t look away, or the obsessive class rep who somehow corrals the entire student body—gets just enough time to shine. No one outstays their welcome, yet every single ing character feels like a cherished friend. In total, there are about ten non-Saiki characters who each play an essential role in his world and in the comedy. Not one of them is annoying. Instead, they’re all welcome catalysts for more laughs, surprises, and surprisingly heartfelt moments.

Season 2’s humor is a masterclass in variety: character-centric quirks, visual gags, and sitcom-style setups. The show layers absurd but believable personality traits on each character. The more you know and love them, the funnier it gets. Saiki’s deadpan boredom; Aibro’s blissful ignorance; Kokomi’s unshakable confidence—it all compounds into pure gold. Whether it’s a character suddenly drawn as a single line scratching across the screen, or Saiki popping up in five tiny versions of himself mid-fall, the animation embraces silliness. Those deliberately simplistic moments make me laugh harder than any elaborate sequence. Many episodes revolve around a tiny problem—say, someone accidentally wandering into a haunted house show on TV—exploded into full-blown chaos by Saiki’s powers. The way the series corners itself into these ridiculous “situation comedies,” complete with perfectly timed cutaways and freeze-frames, feels both familiar and endlessly inventive.

At times, the show parodies classic anime tropes: giant robot transformations, overly dramatic sports announcements, and more. Yet it never feels like a cheap imitation—because every reference is sprinkled in with enough originality that you laugh whether you catch the homage or not. And it always stays respectful to its audience. A perfect example is the TV-channel-surfing montage: we see Saiki’s parents giving a serious interview, a random background character from an earlier episode meandering into a cooking show, and Aibro deadpan-flirting in the middle of a quiz show—each scene building on what we already know about them. Saiki’s silent, inner-monologue reactions tie it all together into comedic magic.

Season 2 leans into Saiki’s psychic powers even more than Season 1 did. He can read minds, teleport, rewind time, split himself into clones—yet all he wants is a normal life. Of course, that goal remains hopeless because his family, friends, and random strangers keep dragging him back into lunacy. Watching Saiki try to field dozens of telepathic intrusions while keeping a straight face never gets old. And because Season 2 introduces new ways for him to solve (or complicate) simple dilemmas—like retrieving a lost item with perfect precision, only to discover he made someone else’s situation ten times worse—it keeps me laughing in fresh new ways.

A sequel that actually feels better than its predecessor is a rare feat. But Season 2 of Saiki Kusuo proves it’s possible. The author didn’t get lazy; they didn’t just rehash old jokes or half-heartedly slap new characters onto the roster. Instead, they deepened what we already loved—the cast’s relationships, the comedic timing, and the unspoken warmth beneath the insanity. By the time the final credits rolled, I was left a little panicked: “They actually managed to top it?” And yet, when the screen went black, I was so grateful for every second.

Yes, this season won’t please everyone—some viewers might find the pacing too rapid or miss the freshness of Season 1’s pilot spark. But for me, Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan Season 2 is near-perfect. It delivered nonstop laughs, unforgettable characters, and a surprising amount of heart. It’s the kind of season you don’t just watch; you experience—laughing until your sides hurt, feeling the tiniest pang of sympathy when Saiki finally lets down his psychic guard, and marveling at how a show can be both completely ridiculous and oddly profound at the same time.

When the final episode ended, I sat there stunned. These characters I’d grown to love—Saiki, Aibro, Kokomi, and the rest—felt like old friends. And just like an incredible summer that you didn’t want to end, Season 2 closed its door on me. The good news is that there’s talk of Season 3, and I’ll be counting down the days until Saiki and crew return. But until then, I’ll replay favorite moments in my head: Saiki rolling his eyes at another telepathic fiasco; Aibro riding a runaway Segway; Kokomi recruiting symphony orchestras to find her “one true love.”

Season 2 didn’t just build on Season 1—it soared above it. It gave me more memorably hilarious moments than I could’ve hoped for, and it made me appreciate exactly why Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan is one of my top-ten anime of all time. What really elevates the comedy is how incredibly varied and well-timed it is. From fast-paced gags to absurd character traits, parodies of classic anime, and the clever use of psychic powers, no two moments ever feel the same. Somehow, the humor remains fresh and sharp episode after episode.

Saiki himself is one of the funniest "straight men" I’ve ever seen in anime—not because he screams or overreacts, but precisely because he doesn’t. His dry inner monologue, calm voice, and stoic face contrast beautifully with the chaos erupting around him. Whether he's tolerating the delusions of Kaidou, avoiding Nendou’s unstoppable friendliness, or silently screaming inside at Teruhashi’s narcissism, it always hits the mark.

There’s also something strangely comforting about the world of Saiki Kusuo. As loud and absurd as it gets, it has a rhythm and familiarity to it. Every ing character, no matter how strange, becomes part of a weird little family you grow attached to. Even when I was having a bad day, I could turn on an episode and feel instantly better. I’d start laughing before the opening even finished.

Visually, it’s not a flashy series—but honestly, that’s never mattered. The simple art style works perfectly for the tone, and somehow even makes the over-the-top expressions funnier. The music is largely forgettable, save for one or two amazing standouts, but again, the comedy doesn’t need grand orchestras to land its punchlines. It relies on timing, delivery, and an incredible cast of characters who never overstay their welcome.

Even the format of how it originally aired—short daily segments combined into weekly episodes—felt special. It became a part of people’s routines, offering just the right amount of comedy to start or end your day with a smile. That’s something very few shows can claim to do.

To this day, Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan remains a comfort watch for me. I’ve rewatched it multiple times, and every time, it makes me laugh just as hard as the first. It’s smart, silly, warm, and genuinely one of the most enjoyable experiences anime has given me. If you love comedy, give it a shot. And even if you don’t—this might just change your mind.

The animation is original; the angles and some of the sequences are different from other anime, and for an anime from 2002–2003, it's very impressive.

Really, the quality of the animation direction is outstanding. Today, that same studio produces terrible anime like Ubel Blatt, The Red Ranger... (isekai), Tasuuketsu, etc. It's sad.

The fight scenes are very well executed. The pacing isn’t perfect, but it was handled better than in our current era (2020–2025).

The downside is that the visual quality and graphics are poor—but that’s understandable, considering the year it was made. Still, there are scenes where they went all out, like at the beginning of episode ... 4.

If they were to do a remake or a reboot today with the same quality standards, better pacing, and modern graphics—like the ones done by Ufotable—it would be incredible. It would be a banger.

And the OSTs are perfectly composed, and the story really draws you in.

This movie is a stylish trip that feels chaotic, but it actually hits you with some deep messages. It’s not Tatami Galaxy, but it’s definitely its spiritual sibling. It shows youth for what it really is: messy, impulsive, full of random moments — but with a strange charm.

The main girl just lives life full throttle, while Senpai is stuck waiting for fate to do the work for him. The contrast between them shows how we sometimes sabotage ourselves, hoping life will figure itself out, while everything just es us by.

There’s this one scene with watches that hits hard — her watch moves slowly, the old ... folks’ watches move fast. Obvious metaphor: the older you get, the faster time flies. So the movie’s basically screaming, “enjoy your damn youth while you still can.”

In the end, it’s a beautiful, weird, lighthearted film with a killer soundtrack and a lot of soul. You're not supposed to understand everything — you’re just supposed to feel it, laugh a little, and maybe reflect on life like you’re slightly drunk at 3am

This donghua follows a young student who seemingly has no talent for cultivation. He falls asleep whenever he tries to mediate and his fighting ability is pathetic. Through luck he suddenly breaks the barrier suppressing his talent and unlocks his cheat-like ability to absorb knowledge and learn quickly. He uses his powers to beat up the never ending torrent of arrogant bad guys, make (mostly female) friends and learn about his past.

The story start off pretty weak and remains dull throughout but it does have some slightly interesting parts. The worst part of the progression in this show is that the main character doesn't really ... have to put any effort in to become stronger. Everything comes extremely easy to him. Another part is the lack of agency over cultivation. He's extremely lucky to keep stumbling over "ancient pool of power" or "ancient fountain of power" or "primordial place of power" which keep allowing him to just sit down, absorb the "essence" and ascend to a new level. It feels incredibly unsatisfying.

The characters come and go. Baddies are introduced and die shortly after, and the sidekicks just share a short adventure with the MC before getting sidelined. Only one of the sidekicks gets a tiny bit of a backstory, but other than that there's nothing. I got faintly attached to a few of them to be honest however. They're not bland sidekicks, they're just more of a device to the current plot line than anything else.

Animation is bad. It would have looked dated in 2013., let alone in 2023.

Fighting scenes are fine. There's some creative use of abilities here and there but it suffers at the hands of the cheap animation.

There's 10 minutes per episode (not 12) with at least one fight per episode to I guess keep people interested, which really doesn't leave much time for compelling storytelling but it was enough to keep me somewhat interested and entertained. The last few episodes are a slog to get through though and the worst part is that the story is not even close to finished. I don't think this will ever get a sequel and if I knew what state this would be left at by the end I'd have thought twice before watching it all. I'm utterly dissatisfied.

Warning: this is political / economy / military fantasy. And one of, if not best in that specific genre. If you like that genre, you'll love this one. If you hoped for anything else - sorry.

If you hope for proper romance, there's a lightweight thread of that on the sidelines (with a bit of harem added for bad measure), action / combat - only small amount. There is a proper drama of the characters involved, but it's not the main focus. Also, the show is an isekai albeit it never outright its it. Think typical isekai protagonist keeping their earthly origin secret - here, it's ... being kept secret from the audience too, but you see the hints.

The art and animation is 10/10, absolute masterpiece. The artistic choices in writing are somewhat weird (nobody has names, they are always referred to by role/job) but you can get used to them. It has a little fanservice which feels quite out of place, also the harem thread was totally unnecessary (I'd much rather see the main pair's romance better developed), but they are minor bits that aren't enough to spoil the whole. And the political layer of the story is a delight - the depth, the intrigue, the way problems are overcome by intelligence and strength of character, not violence - this makes for something unforgettable.

Re:Zero hurts to watch.

Not in the way bad anime hurts-- through poor animation, terrible writing, or grating voice acting-- but in the way thinking about your past self hurts.

It is difficult to find a production with the kind of writing that leaves a hickey on your psyche long after the credits roll. The best stories don't just entertain; they interrogate. They hold up mirrors we'd rather not look into. They transform the act of watching into something uncomfortable, yet necessary, and ultimately transcendent.

Re:Zero introduces us to Natsuki Subaru, and within minutes, you immediately know his archetype: a shut-in, lover of video games, who watches couples ... by with barely concealed envy. He's transported to a fantasy world, and his first thought is to run down a list of isekai tropes. Surely his life in this new world will be a breeze.

He is broken instead.

I must emphasize: this is not a power fantasy anime. Subaru stumbles and slogs through this new world with the grace of a NEET. He's weak, impulsive, selfish-- and desperately, achingly human. He is cringe-inducing. Every declaration of love, every misguided attempt at heroism, every moment that he chooses pride over sense-- they all land with the weight of recognition. Watching him is like staring into a funhouse mirror: the proportions are exaggerated, but the reflection is unmistakably familiar.

The series weaponizes its premise against both Subaru and its audience. His sole "gift" in this universe is less of a superpower and more of a curse. Every setback hurts. Every failure compounds. Every attempt adds another layer of isolation. He isn't rewarded for his abilities; he's beaten to a pulp with them. Where other isekai protagonists accumulate power and companions, Subaru accumulates trauma and the growing realization that changing the setting isn't going to change his character.

His experiences tend to teach the wrong lessons. His worst instincts are reinforced. Every failure drives him into a flawed conclusion: if he just tries hard enough, attempts enough variations, he can simply brute-force his way into the ending he wants. He begins to treat the real people surrounding him like video game NPCs.

This continues until the series reaches its emotional crescendo. For the first time, Subaru drops the performance and begins to confess-- not to his strength, but to his weakness. Not to his destiny, but to his delusions. It had to happen eventually. The series' most powerful moments feature hardly anything but conversations between characters. They work not because they're uplifting, but because they force Subaru to finally it what we've known all along: he's been running from himself since before he was transported to a new world.

This series understands something fundamental about growth: it's not linear. Subaru doesn't overcome his insecurity in one triumphant moment. He carries it with him, managing it, relapsing, and trying again. His victories are messy and incomplete. His heroic moments are tinged with desperation. Even when he succeeds, the fault lines where he might break again are abundantly clear.

This is where Re:Zero truly transcends its genre. It takes the isekai promise-- that you could be special somewhere else, that your failures are the world's fault, not your own-- and methodically dismantles it. Subaru brings his problems with him because HE is the problem. No amount of magical powers or cosmic advantages can save him from himself. The only way forward is through the pain, humiliation, and slow, grinding work of becoming a better person.

The animation serves this theme of self-improvement perfectly. When Subaru suffers, you suffer too-- you don't just feel his physical pain, but the weight of failure and dread. When he breaks down, his voice actor (both in Japanese and in English) refuses to hold back. When he finally makes progress, the music swells not with complete triumph but with an exhausted relief. Every moment reinforces the central truth: growth hurts.

But here's what the series understands that a lot of people tend to miss: Subaru's flaws aren't actually obstacles to the story. They are the story itself. His selfishness, his delusions, his desperate need for validation-- these aren't writing failures. They're the central point. How many isekai protagonists are wish-fulfillment vehicles, designed to make the audience feel complete in their ineptitude? Subaru is the exact opposite. He's wish-fulfillment turned inside out, showing us what happens when escapist fantasies meet the sharp edges of reality.

The series asks uncomfortable questions. What if you got everything you wanted and were still miserable? How do I fix myself? How do I become a hero? These aren't questions that you can answer easily. They're questions that stick with you even after you've turned the screen off.

Re:Zero works because it understands that the most profound transformations come not from external power but from internal reckoning. Every character who matters carries their own struggles that mirror the protagonist's journey. They all need saving, and they all need to learn that salvation isn't something one person can give to another. It's something you build together, failure by excruciating failure.

This is why you should watch Re:Zero. Not because it's fun-- though it can be. Not because it's exciting-- though it often is. You should watch it because it does what the best introspective art does: it makes you uncomfortable with comfortable lies. It shows you yourself at your worst and suggests, gently but firmly, that your worst doesn't have to be your end.

Starting life in another world from zero isn't about the new world. It's about the zero. It's about acknowledging that you've been running-- from responsibility, from growth, from yourself-- and choosing to stop. It's about understanding that the hero's journey isn't about becoming special. It's about becoming real.

The protagonist's questions evolve throughout the series, shifting from self-centered desires to genuine concern for others. That shift-- from self to other, from fantasy to reality, from zero to one-- is everything.

Re:Zero isn't comfortable viewing. It shouldn't be. Growth never is.

I have a deep appreciation for Lycoris Recoil, a series that captivates not only through its dynamic animation and outstanding soundtrack but also through its charming and charismatic characters. With each episode, it becomes increasingly easy to get emotionally invested in the story and the bond between its protagonists.

More than just a final episode, this special felt like a heartfelt tribute to the beloved Sayuri. Hearing her voice at the end of each episode and especially in the extended version during the finale stirred a profound reflection on the beauty and fragility of life. Sayuri may have left us too soon, but her songs remain ... as emotional imprints, with the ending theme of Lycoris Recoil standing out as a touching reminder of her legacy.

Wherever she may be now, may Sayuri rest in peace. Her voice continues to resonate in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to hear her.

The first season of Free! was a surprise discovery for me and I said a lot of nice things about it, together with the first movie Early Days. Since then I can't get enough of the show and have watched almost everything the series put out; up to this season... Where I feel like the fun waterpark ride has come to a stop. This isn't bad anime by any means, it's not even a bad installment of Free, but compared to how it started it's simply not as strong as before.
The events of this season carry on where it left off with the Take ... Your Marks specials, with Haru, Makoto and Rin heading to university and the beginning of their adult lives. Gou, Nagisa and Rei are still in high school- they were underclassmen so this is obvious- but is where the problems begin. Then we have a whole new bunch of characters introduced from the different universities, setting up new rivalries for Haru and Rin to compete with in national competitions- the tournaments on the path toward international competition. THEN the show decides to reintroduce a couple of characters from the Early Days movie- Ikuya and Asahi- plus another- Hiyori (oh yes, I'll get to him in a minute!) ... AND THEN! They introduce some personal trainers who find their way toward Haru and Makoto who have their own backstories- and we still revisit Sousuke who is planning to head to Tokyo for surgery on his shoulder (busted rotator cup- ouch!!) but wait there's more- the Iwatobi Swim Club is still going but now headed by Rei & Nagisa who recruit a couple of new (including a really cute girl I thought was a boy at first but still am not sure) OKAY HAVE YOU KEPT TRACK OF ALL THAT????

There are so many spinning plates in this act- that if you hadn't been paying really close attention to the first couple seasons and already know the main cast, you could never keep track of all the names. Not to mention there are some international swimmers who show up- in addition to Rin's Aussie friends... to put it another way, a new bishonen shows up every episode and they're getting harder to tell apart.
Of course, the stakes have shifted completely from the first season of Free that was really about the four boys Nagisa, Haru, Rei and Makoto (and Rin) discovering themselves and trying to understand why they want to swim and what is the meaning of teamwork. But in Dive To the Future, it's about so many different characters going their own way on different paths toward adulthood- and the teamwork dynamic is no longer a thing. Now it's all about the INDIVIDUAL. What do YOU want to do? Why do YOU want to compete? What's it mean to YOU?
And this is fine with Sousuke and Makoto- especially Makoto who has a very strong reason for wanting to contribute something to the next generation. But Haruka was never a well defined character- he spent 3 seasons staring into the blue and not saying much; and shouting at his friends when they tried to get him to just consider where he could go and who he should be. Now, he's making a decision- but it's never clear in the show if he has fully made it or not. He never seemed to care about winning before- "I just swim free" and probably because he always easily won. Now suddenly he has to care- and that transition hasn't fully matured.
And then we have HIYORI who is by far the biggest problem.
He isn't just a jerk who says nasty things to people; and naturally he's really good in the water- making him a difficult antagonist- but he's preventing Haru and Makoto and even Ahase from even seeing Ikuya, and acts as a barrier between Ikuya and every other character in the show. This is not a good thing. And his reasons for doing it only make him scary. His manipulative, possessive, ive aggressive demeanor that tries to shift a fake smile depending on who he is talking to- just gave me the creeps.

But the show's biggest sin is simply the huge cast has forced it to prioritize some characters over others- and that meant Nagisa and Rei (and Gou even) get relegated to background roles and are hardly seen or heard from. And every other character in this is fighting his own personal battle, so it never feels like a cohesive unit the way Season 1 and Early Days did. And if you ask MOST fans of Free I think they would mention the teamwork aspect; or how they all felt like a family, as one of the strongest features of the anime. So as a result it feels like something is missing- everything above is what's missing.
As anime it's just as good looking and well animated as previous seasons. I would say there wasn't quite as much movement in the water as before, and it doesn't try to do anything really special.
For all these reasons I can't give Free! Dive To The Future nearly as high a score. It's only good if you have watched everything that came before, and those previous seasons and movies were better than this. So it's an extremely well made anime, that left me feeling somewhat disappointed.

InuYasha is a very complex anime. It has things in it that are good but at the same time, has things in it that are bad to. I watching this when I was in my junior and senior year of high school. Which was nearly, 20 years ago. I would sneak downstairs at 3:00 in the morning to watch it while my parents were asleep. I did enjoy it as a teen but as I look back on it. I realized that there are things in it that flew over my head somehow.

InuYasha is a feudal fairytale that takes place when Kagome Higurashi ... turns 15 years old and goes back in time by an artifact known as, the Bone Eaters Well. She releases a half-demon named, InuYasha from his 50 year slumber to destroy a demon that pursues her because she is not only the reincarnation of a powerful priestess named, Kikyo, but also bares inside her an artifact known as, the Shikon Jewel, or the Jewel of Four Souls. Which can increase the power of the demon who wields it. However, when the jewel is split into fragments. It's up to Kagome and InuYasha to find them and bring them together.

Pros:
Let's start off with the animation. This is possibly, one of my favorite hand drawn anime's. I love how we go from the bustling city, to a federal time in Japan that's completely different. The hand drawn animation is pretty good and while it does seem to have a few hiccups here and there. It's pretty good. I like how the contrast of the colors reflect the era's of both worlds. Kagome's era is bright and very colorful, while the federal era is more dim, dark, while still showing a little brightness here and there to show that not all is doom and gloom. The action is pretty good to and the choreograph, while not something very new. It does execute very well, especially later on when InuYasha grows in power and Kagome as well.

The characters are a little of a mix bag as while they do develop. I feel they don't reach their full potential until the Final Act. InuYasha is a cocky half-demon who at times just likes to run his mouth more then he does fighting. He gets into a lot of fights with Kagome which does make sense. As they are from different realms and InuYasha makes attempts to prevent her from returning as she tries to live two lives. Kagome tries to balance her new life with her former one. Constantly going back and forth with trying to tests so she doesn't full behind. Which can lead to some good comedy. I love the ridicules illnesses that her grandfather comes up with while she's away.

There's also Shippo, a young fox demon cub who asks InuYasha and Kagome to defeat a demon duo after killing his father. A womanizing Monk named, Miroku with a hole in his hand that sucks in everything in its path, and a demon slayer named, Sango, who s them after loosing her entire family and village to an army of demons.

The main villain, Naraku gets hated on by a lot of people who like this anime, but I personally think he's one of the best villains out there. Not mainly because he doesn't do much, but because of how menacing, manipulating, and downright deceitful he is. He's not afraid to make others do his dirty work for him and he's not afraid to twist events in order to deceive others into trying to kill InuYasha. I do like villains who have the bite to back up their barks, but I also ire those who will twist their words and events that have occurred in trying to kill two birds with one stone. It's actually, more intelligent to deceive your opponents and lure them into a trap that will be the end of them and not get your hands dirty, unless it's necessary.

Cons:
Ok, it's time to talk about the cons and oh boy. This has one of the biggest cons that I've ever seen in an anime, the abuse and constant bullying. InuYasha and Miroku are constantly abused by Kagome and Sango in this anime. While InuYasha is constantly bullying Shippo. Now, don't get me wrong. There are times when they both have it coming to them, especially InuYasha. Let's first break down with InuYasha.

After Kagome releases InuYasha and he destroys the demon. He turns on her in wanting to take the jewel for himself, because it turns out that before he was sealed away by the priestess, Kikyo. He too was after the jewel so he could become a full fledge demon. However, Kaede, Kikyo's younger sister and now a high priestess. Uses a magical beaded necklace on InuYasha and tells Kagome that she can control him with the necklace via a word of subjugation. Get it? Subjugation? As in oppression? And guess what word she uses? "Sit boy!" Yup, because InuYasha is based on the Inugami. Which were Japanese dog spirits, Although, InuYasha is more closer to the Yokai since he's a half-demon. Anyway, whenever Kagome says the word, the beads force InuYasha to the ground in a bowing method, literally. Now, there are times when he has this coming to him, but Kagome a lot of times takes it overboard and abuses the power and authority in many situations by constantly saying it, especially when he's already on the ground and it constantly pushes him into the ground further as it increases gravity on him. Furthermore, even in the end of the show in the Final Act, the beads are never removed. Which is ironic, because in the movie, Sword of the Honorable Ruler, the beads are removed, but Kagome repairs the necklace and puts it back on him and subjugates him again. I get it this takes place during Japan's Medieval time, but this kind of oppression gets way out of control and is completely unnecessary. Sometimes, I think Kagome just enjoys oppressing InuYasha whenever they piss each other off.

InuYasha is also a constant jerk to Shippo, who is just a child. He's constantly bullying him and will even go so far at times to take food away from him. Sure, with him being a child, he can be annoying at times and I get it why InuYasha would get fed up with him, but again, much like the subjugation with Kagome, the bullying can just get out of hand, and Shippo does try at times to get back at InuYasha.

Then we have Miroku and Sango. Now, I get it at times that Sango would put Miroku in his place whenever he cops a feel on her by stroking her butt. He also does it once to Kagome but never attempts it again on her, but he does it more times to Sango and she slaps or punches him whenever he does it. That's one thing. However, whenever he flirts with other women and hits on them. Sango and sometimes, Kagome get after him for doing this. Let me ask one question: What business of theirs's is it whenever he hits on other women? Now, I get it later on when Miroku and Sango decide that they're going to be together after everything is said and done and in a way, Miroku levels down the flirting, but what business does she have in interfering his way of life? She'll just constantly go after him and put him in his place when he does this and it doesn't involve her. I mean, did she secretly have a thing for him from the very beginning? I highly doubt it.

Some say that the abuse is meant for comedic purposes. Yeah, I'm sorry, but it's not. It's straight up abuse and bullying and nothing more at times when it's out of control. I still don't know how this flew over my head when I watched this but it did. I also do think that the constant abuse leads to Stockholm Syndrome that both, InuYasha and Miroku end up suffering from in the end, and that's why they decide to stay with them because of the constant abuse, but that's just my prerogative.

Despite all that, the anime does have some good action to it, the animation is great, and even though the abuse gets out of control at times. The characters do have their own personalities and can be pushed to their limits, and do develop. I still do recommended this anime if you can handle the negative aspects of it. Like I said, it's a complex anime but does have some good aspects to it. Check it out and draw your own conclusion.

Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did.
I'd seen the trailer for Vampire Wars on a few Manga Entertainment DVD releases back in the 2000s and it looked to me like another ho-hum, throw away sex and violence title from Manga's library. Having decided on a whim one night to give it a try, I ended up finding myself presently suprised.

Based on a pulp novel series by Kiyoshi Kasai and produced by Toei Animation with Kazuhisa Takenouchi as director, Vampire Wars follows Kuki Kosaburo, a former mercenary living in the red light district of Paris who spends his time on prostitutes and booze. ... After failing to protect a sex worker friend of his from a psychopath and being framed for her murder, Kuki is forced back into service by a shady government agency who want to use him to investigate a terrorist attack on the NASA base in Arizona and the mysterious murder of a French Secret Service agent, which are believed to have been carried out by vampires. If he completes his assignment, he will be granted a full pardon for his alleged crime.
Kuki's search eventually leads him to Lamia Vindaw, a popular young actress who isn't all that she seems and is being targeted not only by the vampires but also the same government agency that hired Kuki along with the CIA.

The story is very good and really grabs your attention while throwing some great suprising twists along the way, even if suffering from some over complexity while being rather silly and dumb in some places. Plus it also suffers from exposition dumping though character dialogue at some points. The animation is decent enough despite looking like it was done on a budget and the action scenes are pretty solid showing that Toei certainly had some of their best animators on this.
That being said, characters get practically no form of development which is pretty typical of your standard half hour B-movie OVA title.
And of course, there is the English dub produced in house by Manga Entertainment which is cheesy as all hell and packed with some stilted performances and hokey American accents. And with the OVA being set in Paris we also get to hear British actors giving their hokiest French accents and, oh boy are they hokey!

Overall, Vampire Wars really doesn't deserve it's status of being one of the worst animes out there. Is it a great vampire/horror anime or one of the best animes in general? No, clearly not.
If anything it's pretty much shlocky B-movie fun that's worth a look.

Finally, an anime where there is no celestial things related or something impossible fantasy is shown. You can relate it to life, I think after MONSTER, it's my first anime that has nothing superpower type. Well, It's actually a lore of Original Sherlock Holmes character with a person named James William Moriarty (Who is inspired by the guy William James Sidis, IQ of 300, Mathematician). We see Cold-War like, Death Note; making people question what is right and what is wrong. A mixture of Bungou Stray Dogs too.

So yeah for me, the story is built up by mixing two anime.

And the season's last episode's ... last scene is----maybe Black Butler inspired too? Who knows? I won't spoil it. But if you have enjoyed mind-thrilling psycho thriller animes, it's definitely for you. But without any touch of fantasy.

The first time I watched Tatami Galaxy I was around 14, and now, at almost 20, I finally understood the real weight of it — it’s not just a beautiful or funny anime, it’s a brutal reflection of what it feels like to step into adulthood full of “what ifs,” imagining a thousand past scenarios you think could’ve changed everything, when in reality they’re just fantasies of a perfect version of your past that never existed, and this anime had the guts to tell me, straight up, that it’s okay to have let some things go, that maybe I just wasn’t ready back then or ... didn’t even want them for real, and that what actually matters is not torturing myself over those choices, but trusting who I am right now in the present, because the current me is the only one who can do something — and the fact that it was an anime, not anyone around me, that told me that... yeah, that hit hard enough to make me cry.

I still the first time I pressed play on the final season of Assassination Classroom. From the very beginning, I knew this journey was something special, but Season 2 brought every feeling to life in ways I never expected. Finishing it felt like closing a beloved novel – there’s gratitude and joy, but also that bittersweet ache of goodbye. I’ve rewatched the final episodes a few times now, and each time I end up in tears (both happy and sad ones). This season built beautifully on everything that came before it, letting those earlier seeds of emotion flourish.

The entire tone of the show matured ... alongside the characters. I Season 1’s blend of comedy and heart, but Season 2 turned the emotional dial all the way up. It felt like watching a bright, wild tree grow slowly in front of me. Those funny classroom antics and “kill-sensei” plans were still there, but now they were grounded by weighty themes about life, purpose, and the meaning of friendship. There were episodes where I literally held my breath just to breathe, to really feel what these kids were going through.

What really stole my heart was how much each character was allowed to grow. This season gave everyone space to shine. I looked back at who they were in the beginning – those slightly lost, quirky students – and I was overwhelmed seeing how far they came. Nagisa, who started off as this gentle, almost invisible kid, found a confidence I genuinely didn’t see coming. Watching him take charge in the classroom or find his voice in a crisis is incredibly moving without being showy. Karma, always brash and stubborn, showed new layers of kindness and vulnerability I didn’t expect. I was so proud of them, and I felt like I understood their hopes and fears a little better each episode.

And Sensei himself – oh, how my heart adores him. He wasn’t just the super-powered teacher who could dodge missiles. Throughout Season 2 we got to see the caring mentor inside that funny yellow face. Every time he cracked a joke or taught with those silly games, it always carried this gentle wisdom underneath. When he delivered one of his heartfelt pep talks near the end, I honestly had to pause the episode, tears in my eyes. I’d been through something with these characters, and Sensei’s lessons felt like they were written just for us.

The themes in this final season were so potent. There was this ever-present reminder that every moment is precious, that life is fragile and unpredictable. You really feel it in your bones as you watch the characters joke and plan for tomorrow, all while knowing something momentous is looming on the horizon. It made me reflect on my own life, honestly – how we sometimes take time for granted, and how each day can be a gift. I found myself getting lost in those thoughts, echoing what the characters were feeling on screen. By the end, I felt uplifted, even as I was sobbing my eyes out.

One of the things I keep thinking about is how powerfully the music carried the emotion of the show. I’ve always loved AssClass’s soundtrack, but in Season 2 a single piece could turn a scene upside down in my heart. A quiet piano melody might start during a reflective moment, and suddenly I’d be overwhelmed with understanding how these characters felt. Then in an exciting exam sequence, a high-energy track would have me cheering on the edge of my seat. The final episodes even had songs that felt like goodbyes – each note wrapping around the scene, making me feel everything so deeply that my heart was ripped open in the best possible way.

Pacing-wise, Season 2 felt just right. Sometimes final seasons can feel rushed or drawn out, but this one managed to be epic and intimate at the same time. The big story arcs never skipped the details I cared about, and the smaller moments – like classmates joking around between adventures – were given space to breathe. Every episode felt meaningful. It was like reading the final chapters of a cherished book and wishing it could go on forever, but knowing that each page was exactly where it needed to be.

Saying goodbye to this series was one of the hardest things I’ve experienced as a fan. When the final episode ended, I literally sat in silence for a while, feeling both empty and full at the same time. I still find my mind drifting back to little moments: the look on Sensei’s face when a lesson really stuck, the cheers in the classroom when a student found their strength, the goofy class photos, and the heartfelt smiles in the sunset. It’s strange – I feel so attached to these characters that parting ways feels personal. I’m left with this lump in my throat, but I also feel grateful for every second I spent with them.

I imagine other fans feel the same way. To anyone out there who went on this journey with me, I hope you’re finding comfort in these memories too. Assassination Classroom Season 2 isn’t just another anime for me – it’s a reminder of how powerful storytelling can be. It can make a fictional class of misfits feel like old friends, and a silly mustachioed teacher feel like a beloved mentor. If this stands among my top 10 anime, it’s not just because of the thrilling plot or the beautiful animation (though those were fantastic); it’s because of how much it made me feel.

So, thank you, Season 2, for taking me on this incredible ride. Thank you for making me laugh until my sides hurt and for breaking my heart in the most beautiful way. I’ll carry these memories with me – the smiles, the tears, and that hopeful feeling in the pit of my heart – and somehow, I know that’s a wonderful thing.

If i ever have to compare a animated show with art, flcl would be the first in my mind.
No, seriously i have not seen a anime that can be so chaotic, abstract and quite frankly stupid and also be meaningful and have layers to its story that you slowly peel like tangerines if you end up liking the energy this show has in abundance.
Of course its not without criticism, like i said it will be stupid , abstract, annoying, its a show that almost makes fun of itself and presents in such enjoyable way that never do you find yourself yearning for joy. This anime ... is almost a travesty of a sci-fi, only if it was a sci-fi because its too stupid for that.
Flcl's biggest quality lies in its themes. Themes you say what are those?.
Its in fact a coming of age story, its themes of sexual awakening, love, loss, and finding yourself in a hunt to justify your reason to breathe. Its all stupidly ingenious.
Haruko's character is one of the most unique female characters i have come across in anime. She is entertaining, but do not mistake her for good , she is just as deceptive. Her motives, desires keeps you wondering her next ludicrous action.
Naota's growth as a character, to finally understand himself and others to some extent and differentiate things is great as well but i wont be joking if i say for me among all characters its Haruko that is standout.
Flcl deals with all its themes in a soulful way, it expresses itself like no other anime and that what sets it apart from all other coming of age stories. Its abstract, and almost nonsensical just how the phase of puberty is. Its chaotic and absurd just how that phase feels deep within with thoughts swirling at a speed of light almost.
Flcl is a art, and not everyone can understand it. Whats one mans trash is others treasure. subjectivity is something that applies every where at least as long as entertainment is concerned. People who like a more linear and structured story with more dignified structure wont like it. To appreciate flcl you need to be stupid, open to a bit of chaos and a parodic show that may have some brilliance underneath it.
Lastly, read this with a grain of salt because again what i like may also be something you despise. And with a show like flcl that may just be the case.

An anime about a glorified game of Tag with sidequests broadcasted on TV. This anime went under the radar on its release because of its "old" artstyle, subpar animation, inaccessibility and poor marketing. "Run for Money: Great Mission" is inspired by the japanese reality competition show of the same name, which not many may have watched (myself included). This, however, is a different experience from the original show. Watching the anime I felt nostalgic, for this is the kind of show/cartoon I'd watch on TV as a child, although after finishing the whole thing, I can't recommend others to go through with it.

The music is ... one of the strongest points the anime has. Each theme is distinct and comfortable to hear. I'd love to explain it better and list some examples, but the OST is simply impossible to find online. There is a good mix for hype instrumentals and range, including some character-exclusive music (like Sawyer's theme, or Sigma's). The Hunters have their own sound design, making them feel like a proper disruption to the game's flow.

The visual aspect of the series is...weird. The characters give this 90's vibe that evokes that previously mentioned nostalgia, with colorful designs that blend urban clothes and some "action" elements like shoulderpads or spikes. The animation is not a strong point, which sadly harms this fast-paced action series. The Hunters are animated with shameless CGI, which in my opinion is a risky but endearing choice, though many people would feel weirded out by it. Even if you dig the style, it is nothing to write home about.

Talking about the characters in general is incredibly frustrating. Some characters are charming and with lots of cool interactions, mostly main characters like Luna, Sigma, Penta or Hal. But MOST of the cast is, simply put, filler. Each game needs to have aprox. 16 participants, and some characters are taken out or changed to add variety, but none of those add anything of interest to the game. Some minor characters have this specific niche that makes them extremely useful in One scenario before being caught. Others do simply nothing.

The "Great Missions" are the sidequests that add a backstory to each stage's setting. For example, the first stage takes place in Shibuya, with the missions themed around the players fighting a kaiju-like monster like godzilla. These Missions take protagonism above the "Run for Money" tag game, involving NPCs and constant secondary challenges that the players typically participate in. They are...ok-ish. It is apparent the missions distract from the "main event" that was supposed to be the Hunters catching the Players. However, they fulfill a nice role of creating a sub-plot inside these games that would, otherwise, be fairly straightforward. As the series progresses, there are some Great Missions that shake the formula a little, or that raise the stakes a lot. A nice precedent the series leaves early on is that not ALL great missions will be cleared, so it leaves some room for unpredictability. Of course, the missions involve NPCs that can't create deep, lasting stories outside their own stage, so it also feels pretty inconsequential.

The narrative of the anime as a whole is bittersweet. I'll drop a SPOILER WARNING HERE in case you want to jump in blindly. We get a cute, endearing relationship between Sawyer and Hal living in a Moon Colony, whose environment is contaminated, creating this disease that the brothers want to overcome by living in a nicer place. There is forshadowing dropped about other characters, and about the game itself. My opinion, as someone who has watched all 97 episodes, is that it's delivery is frustrating. The story comes to a halt whenever a Run for Money game starts, and whenever it moves in an unexpected direction, it tends to go nowhere. The second half of the series introduces several plot points that raise the stakes and creates interest, but they are either short-lived or not used properly. The last stage specially has a non-sensical premise only for the sake of using all the forshadowing the anime delivered.

My final thoughts are a mess. On one side, I'll it I enjoyed watching it. I got emotional once or twice, getting actually invested whenever the story took a sudden turn, slowly enjoying the journey. On the other, I also it I wanted to drop it once or twice, and losing momentum made it hard to come back to it. Some stages felt eternal and with little to no sauce to it. I have additional notes and comments in my list, if you are still interested on it. I honestly believe this is the kind of show a kid would watch while having lunch after coming home from class. And maybe that's all it was meant to be.

This anime should have an award for such a deceptive title. I mean it is accurate, but most people reading the title would get the impression that it's just another horndog Ecchi anime. But it's not. I mean there are moments that some ecchi things happen, but they're mostly comedic. But honestly it's more than that, it has that ample amount of awkward romance and wholesomeness that it just works. I don't think it's something really deep or whatnot, it's got a few cliches. But the thing about cliches is, they exist because they work. While normally it'd feel corny to even me, somehow this ... thing in this particular story works for me. I love it. Also can't forget about the characters, so relatable to me as an avid book reader. Specially my man Mizuto, when he says, "The world of fiction was real to me, and the reality just felt like fabrication." STRAIGHT UP BARS. Now I know most people will find this thing corny, but it's just a me thing.

An exciting Shonen manga adaptation anime premiered in 2025. I started watching the first two episodes on March 6th then decided to stop and watch the complete series later. The eleventh episode marked the completion of my viewing journey on May 18, 2025.

I found this action-comedy series to be a truly impressive show. The animation quality and the storyline both stood out as strong components of the show.

What's at the core of the show? The series combines the action of John Wick with a distinct twist in the story. Sakamoto leaves his legendary hitman role behind when he marries the woman he adores. He manages ... a convenience store while enjoying the tranquility of his new life.

A person in that line of work does not experience true retirement. Several professional killers receive orders to pursue him which triggers the beginning of the action scenes. The story expands when former comrades enter the picture and his family maintains its importance throughout.

I want to avoid revealing specific details because the show remains truly outstanding. The second season has my anticipation levels at their peak.

The combination of action and comedy with original characters makes this show an entertaining option for viewers. I rate this show an 8 out of 10.

After receiving a thousand recommendations from my friend, I finally completed this anime on 30–31 May 2025. Watching this anime requires only a single viewing session to experience its complete story.

The anime provides a fresh twist to fantasy storytelling which blends together action elements with adventurous journeys and humorous moments. This original anime production from MAPPA earned an award nomination from Crunchyroll.

Now let's discuss the story— The story's magic system in this anime replaces a conventional lamp-based genie with a bullet-based genie. The events in the opening episode follow this exact description which actually happens in the series debut.

The anime does not explain why the ... genie emerges from a bullet. The explanation for this phenomenon will become clear when you continue watching the anime. The story carries elements of traditional school gang themes that include power rivalries and rule enforcement. The main plot does not feature romantic elements but Arajin develops feelings which provides a light-hearted moment in the series.

I enjoyed watching this show. Season 1 of the show concludes its storyline by revealing major plot elements and introducing future developments. The possibility of a second season remains unclear at this point.

The anime receives an 8 out of 10 score from me. The show deserves a chance to be watched.

Just like Season 1, this season was packed with fun, fan service, and nonstop entertainment — and I loved every second of it!

From the very beginning, The 100 Girlfriends has been one of my favorite anime series. Season 2 only deepened that love, continuing the wild and hilarious story of Rentarou and his ever-growing group of soulmates. The over-the-top comedy, unexpected romantic moments, and sheer absurdity never fail to make me laugh out loud.

This anime is actually what got me into the manga, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Whether you're here for the romantic chaos or the clever parody of harem tropes, there's always ... something to enjoy.
