This anime saved my life.

In philosophy, art is described as a creative activity, a mean by which we humans separate ourselves from nature. It is by definition something that has no use besides pure contemplation.
Therefore I do not believe the word "art" pays enough homage to the masterpiece that is this anime, as it is truly a gift that keeps on giving.

“What does it offer?” You ask? Well, perhaps it would be easier to ask what this glorious masterwork doesn’t offer, as its generosity truly knows no bound.

Allow me to share a personal experience with you so you can better understand how this gift ... from heaven leaves me in tears each time my mind wanders back to it.
I am one of those people who could be called a “serial lover”. My list of conquests extends further than the horizon allows me to see.

As such, it is truly difficult for me to identify with a fictional character outside of hentai protagonists which, don’t get me wrong, certainly deserve their letters of nobility in their own rights, but fall flat in front of the living demi-god that is Rentarô Aijô.
A true gentleman who can recognise the beauty in every last one of his queens. Loving each and everyone of them equally. This legend has more love inside of him than every single prophets combined. I thought I was alone in this world as a serial lover. But I finally met my soulmate. Thank you Rentarô, for you saved me from a life without any equal to call a friend.

The 100 Girlfriends Who REALLY Love You, Round 2 — Holy wowsers, the harem just keeps getting better and better.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: mangaka Rihito Nakamura's Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo a.k.a The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is the pinnacle of harem anime, by far and bar none. The harem subgenre has never seen such a magnitude of atrocities so blatant yet so off-the-walls full of bullshittery as this show does and praise the man for absolute cinema for whatever Rihito Nakamura's thinking. Because no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, can ... ever fathom be reading his mind and knowing whatever he's concocting. This man is pure genius, genuine, and should be praised to God-like levels.

Onto Season 2's newest girlfriends added into the Rentaro Family:

- Girlfriend No. 7 of Kurumi Haraga, a foodie fighter with a high metabolism that causes her to go hungry very easily, with her earphone always on her to avoid being influenced by food talk.

- Girlfriend No. 8 of Mei Meido, one of the Hanazono family's maids, who was found bruised and taken in by Hahari, thereby being exceptionally loyal to her without question. The thing is, the running gag of her going full-on suicidal if orders aren't heeded, and Hahari is the only person who can stop her from the reckless act. Also, her rainbow eyes are not for the faint of heart; that's why she's always presented with closed eyes.

- Girlfriend No. 9 of Iku Suto, the same-year student who's the last remaining member of the school's girls' baseball team, with a fiery ion...for being masochistic and finding pleasure in overworking herself to exhaustion and otherwise being mildly hurt.

- Girlfriend No. 10 of Mimimi Utsukushisugi, a Senpai just like Kusuri but a narcissist who's VERY obsessed with beauty, though being aware that the entity cannot be bought and works hard by earning her own savings to acquire such beauty. Though she and Nano were enemies at first from the school's beauty pageants, they subsequently made up and became friends.

- Girlfriend No. 11 of Meme Kakure, the closest Rentaro could ever encounter, being his classmate in the same class as both Hakari and Karane. The "Komi Can Communicate" shy character who prefers being a background character and a very good knitter who always knits dolls to assert misdirection to slip away when she gets flustered. Like Mei, Meme's bangs cover her eyes due to her insecurities.

Knowing the standards of Season 1 back in Fall 2023, it's clear that the staff team at Bibury Animation Studios, led by director Hikaru Sato, has something very uncommon on their hands, but something that's worth every point to meme about, because 100GFs is just so unhinged at what it does to the fullest degree. You couldn't try to ask other authors to even try to mimic what Rihito Nakamura can do, because their efforts would fail on the basis that this idea is the author's and his alone, being the ONLY person who can pull this all off, and for the 2nd time, this consistency has been largely kept and improved for the better.

I think that the OST for Season 2 has improved a lot, and mostly for the better. Season 1's OP may be now iconic, but while Season 2's OP may not fare the same, I feel that it's a great follow-up song that sounds a lot better than it looks. Even the ED song is a good one, though I'd compare to say that Season 1 was the better of the two.

I need not already mention that if you like/love Season 1 to begin with, Season 2 is pretty much more of the same, with the Rentaro Family of girlfriends counting by the half-dozen and increasing.

May the true gentleman legend never die, serving his queens with utmost respect and sensitivity, which no man in the whole wide world can ever fathom to match with the kind-natured heart and soul of the name...that is Rentaro Aijo.

Harem anime are often looked down upon, because even though frequent through out human history, it doesn't match the social norms of today's day and age. BUT, this anime deserves a chance. It's not just another harem anime, this is PEAK romcom genre. It's synopsis already makes you think ''what?'', and even though this shouldn't work, it does. The main reason why these anime suffer is because they try too hard, even though the setting is unrealistic. It's really refreshing to see an anime not take itself too seriously and even make fourth wall breaking jokes. You could say this is the eminence in shadow ... of the romance genre.

The season 2 of a show of this obviously has a lot of expectations, and for most anime like this, they fail in some aspect, but not 100 girlfriends. It honestly made me really happy to see, that the quality of the girlfriends hasn't fallen off, even though it seems like they are going for the full 100. To make that many characters with their own quirks and stories with constant interactions is obviously not an easy task, but somehow this anime accomplishes it in its entirety.

If you enjoyed season 1, this is definetly a must watch.

Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo 2nd Season

I’m not generally a huge fan of harems or fan service. Usually, they just feel repetitive and shallow. Usually. But every now and then, something comes along that’s so ridiculous and self-aware that it’s impossible not to enjoy—and this anime is one of those exceptions.

If you missed the first season, let me break it down: our protagonist is a young man who’s had some seriously bad luck in love. That is, until the gods decide to bless (or curse) him with the opportunity to meet 100 soulmates. Sounds like a dream, right? Not so fast. ... There’s a catch: if any of these women fail to receive his love, they’ll literally die in misery. Yeah, no pressure.

The crazy part? He takes this responsibility very seriously. Every girl he falls for gets his full attention, affection, and devotion. And as the harem grows, so does the absurdity. They don’t just tolerate each other—they become one giant, happy family that somehow works...and somehow makes sense? Don’t ask how; just roll with it.

If this anime tried to take itself seriously, it would be a disaster. Like, 2/10 levels of bad. But the brilliance here is that it knows it’s ridiculous. It pokes fun at itself, constantly breaks the fourth wall, and leans into the absurdity with a wink and a nudge. It’s shameless in the best way.

The girls? Oh, they’re exactly what you’d expect. Every trope is here—the tsundere, the childhood friend, the cool beauty, and more. But somehow, they make it entertaining. I’m honestly curious how they’re going to get to 100 girls without it becoming stale. For now, though, it’s just a hilarious ride that’s not trying to be anything more than pure, over-the-top fun.

Don’t take it seriously. Just sit back, enjoy the chaos, and have a good laugh. Sometimes, that’s all you need from an anime.

Season 2 of 'The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You' or 100 GFs or Hyakkano is one anime this winter that I was highly anticipating. In my review for season 1 (https://myanimelist.sitesdebloques.org/reviews.php?id=545367), I called it genre-defining. Unfortunately, it feels that it's not as good as season 1.

Season 2 is basically Rentarou adding more girlfriends. It features more ridiculous situations and the metafictional aspects are even more pronounced. I love the fourth-wall breaks.

The problem is that, firstly, every new girl now feels hit or miss. Of course, we may prefer different girls, but the effect is still the same. I may like ... Mei but dismiss others as a girlfriend I do not prefer. It's a pity because every new girl in season 1 felt so much better than the girl before yet in their own ways, each is compelling.

Secondly, the ever-increasing new cast of girlfriends is proving to be a problem, and that's probably why previous harems have chosen to limit the number of girls, even if the number is a few girls plus/minus ten girls. Rentarou's girlfriends are starting to become unwieldy. Aside from dealing with every new girlfriend, Rentarou must also make some effort to keep his existing girlfriends happy. Thus, I'm afraid, every succeeding season of Hyakkano might get worse and worse.

Again, the idea is great, but the execution is bothering me, and we only have 11 girlfriends in the anime so far. How much more unwieldy can the number of girlfriends in succeeding seasons, if any, will get?

I'm not saying that the anime got bad. It's still better than many harems. I'm saying that, over time, getting a laugh out of the ridiculous situations has diminishing returns.

Due to these concerns and the fact that my experience of season 2, while still okay, is nowhere near the peak of season 1, I am rating this a 6 and marking it as 'mixed feelings.'

One anime… one generation’s vibe.

Boy, was I off! Episode 4 brings back the chaos ... full throttle. But here’s the clutch move of this season: no matter how wild things get, it’s hilarious, heartfelt, and all about love. Let’s be real—when you’re head-over-heels, don’t you get a little freaky in your head?

100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is a comedy banger that pushes your “right vs. wrong” meter to the max with its steamy, cheeky, and downright clever twists.

No question—this gem’s a generation-defining masterpiece!

For the longest time, in harem shows, we've had to swallow the tough pill that only one girl will be chosen in the end. Leaving some of us happy, when the girl we wanted was chosen, or... saddened when the girl you wanted was NOT chosen.

Introducing Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo, the harem anime where NO ONE loses, and our favorite heroine(s) (god forbid you call them "waifus") win.

By now, you probably already know the plot of this show (not that you couldn't tell from the title), so I'll skip that.

So, what does season two of this show have to ... offer? ...MORE girlfriends. MORE goofy shenanigans. And MORE of our king, Rentarou. As well as GREAT music, animation, and tasteful references to other Japanese media and culture such as Kimi no Na wa, Dorabase, Dragon Ball Z, etc. that one can appreciate.

So, to conclude, I think season two of Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo is on par if not, BETTER than season one of the show.

Whether you like it as a romance or not is debatable, but as a comedy this is pure gold.

Just as the anime has done so many times, let's talk a little about the studio. Bibury Animation perfectly understood the meaning of the word "adapt" when making this anime. The studio understands that 100 Girlfriends is a story that can be told in a very free way, because everything is allowed. They weren't satisfied with simply adapting the manga linearly, trying to make the jokes from a printed medium work in an animated one. They go further, trying to create their own version of 100 Girlfriends, ... so they aren't afraid to modify, cut, or delete scenes. Despite all the modifications, the anime never loses its charm or essence; it always feels like a faithful representation of the source material. Furthermore, they understood that this work is something they can play with, let their imaginations run wild, but even more importantly, it's something they can laugh at themselves with. There are jokes unique to anime that can only work in this medium. Those small additions are something that made me respect Bibury as a studio. They looked for a way to leave their personal mark on the production without trying to overwrite the original manga's personality.

The comedy is absurd, silly, and referential, but it's never dull or flat. There always has to be at least one joke or reference per episode that makes you smile. The animation is of a high standard and never lags, and they have a tough time because the characters on screen only increase as the episodes go by. They aren't afraid of the difficulty of making an anime with an extremely demanding premise. Now, as a way to promote the manga, it also works very well. With the breaking of the fourth wall, and with the characters being aware that they're in an anime, they're constantly sending you to read the manga in a direct, blatant, and inorganic way that totally works. They're not lying to you, they're telling you straight: we cut X content, if you want to see it, go to the manga. I have no doubt this has convinced more than one person to read the source material.

One of the best comedies we've had in recent years, and it's here that we understand the importance of being genuine.

This is a mass feast for ecchi and harem addicts . Usally i am not a big fan of this genre but i don't mind watching it . If show offers me a good plot , comedy , art style , ost etc then there isn't any harm in watching it .

Another seasone, new girlfriends 10\10 i want to the Rentarou Family. this story is funny asf, the characters are somehow well developed even tho there are too many of them, i love how the story doesnt take itself seriously but instead knows what it is , and I LOVE THE REFERENCES EVERY EPISODE... even if i dont understand most of them... it really doesnt have amazing animation tho but that doesnt mean that the animation is bad IN FACT i think that the art style for this anime fits it perfectly with the funny and spicy faces. idn how are they planning on giving ... my boy Rentarou 100 girlfriends but i havent heard any disapointing from the manga readers so i have high hopes for it. if we are talking about the comedy this anime is funny asf with its jokes about some anime tropes like for example tsundures and with it casually breaking the 4th wall. You know, when there's a harem tag grouped together in the same place with romance and school, the first thought would be whether the protagonist wants to live out their fantasy. Yes, a fantasy of being surrounded by girlfriends. Coming off from the previous season, Rentarou Aijou's quest to obtain 100 girlfriends continues.

Chances are, you're coming into season 2 to see how far his journey will be. He's still far off from the 100 girlfriends goal but this season does showcase his progress. Similar to the previous season, we're also treated with bizarre sequences often involving Kusuri's experiments. Don't believe me? Just see the opening ... episode for yourself and see how the chaos unfolded. However, it does not take long for the main plot to progress with Rentarou building more of his harem. Similar to the previous season, there are various character stories that each focus on a different girl paired up with Rentarou. From this season, we have the big appetite girl Kurumi, the maid girl Mei, baseball player Iku, the narcasstic Mimimi, and timid Meme. Each of these girls have different personalities and the season is developed to showcase how Rentarou interacts with them. You might think this season will focus on more characters but that's not goal. They want to aim for quality over quantity as these new girls gets to experience what is like to fall in love. These range from a food eating contest, baseball games, and even a beauty contest. It's a recipe cooked for Rentarou's journey.

Rentarou's character remains largely the same and if you want to see a big change, this season isn't it. His personality still revolves being kind and gentleman-like to his girlfriends. Despite showing some moments of short temper, he remains loyal and loves all his girlfriends equally. There's no girl he personally prefers over others so this anime designates itself as a 'safe harem'. In fact, no girl statistically has more advantage over others such as screen time, order of appearance, or unique characteristics. If anything, this anime loves its protagonist and he loves his harem.

Being another 1-cour (12 episodes) adaptation, you really should set yourself and limit expectations. Not even the manga is close to Rentarou completing his main goal so the anime fundamentally tries to make its cast look appealing as possible. Although no girl has any real advantage in Rentarou's harem over others, Hakari and Karane are among the most important ones due to their early appearances. This is especially more relevant for Karane when she gets an episode that makes her character take a complete 180 turn. Like in the previous season, this anime loves to experiment with character personalities. Karane is no exception.

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 is a primal example of a sequel that needs no introduction. This season is not going to spoonfeed its audience because it has solidified its identity by this point. It's a show that highlights the journey more important than the destintation. For Rentarou, he's still got a long way to go.

MC : Aijo rentarou gotta be one of the greatest if not the greatest main character of all time. when you have 2 things, you would definitely prefer one more than another. but not aijo rentarou. in his case, it is his girlfriends and he would do anything, like ANYTHING to him. For example, he once charged up a ... spirit bomb for his girlfriend.

Side characters
No one is normal in this show, you have a horny girl and her mother, girl who tsundere to air, who speaks in text to speech, girls who looks like a newborn, one who re Pi, one who consume foods so good that she can compete with big mama, one who is Darkness except voiced by Takahashi Rie, one who is Komi can communicate except she can teleport and a maid.


Enjoyability 100/10
The ecchis are here for a purpose, the way that no one has low screen time,if there are 12 girl, the 4th girl will still have consistent dramas and comedy. The way the characters just have some type of alchemic powers with how they interact with the others, like Hakari and Karane, Hahari and Meido, Karane and Takahashi-Rie-voiced girl. Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo really is the ultimate harem romcom. Ever liked a flat-chested tsundere? Ever liked a big-boobed, over-caring MILF? Ever liked a scientific loli who can transform into an adult with the use of her illegal drugs manufactured from her chemistry club lab class??? You NAME it, we GOT it!!

As the main selling point of this manga, acquiring 100 girlfriends who really, really, really, really, REALLY love you, it does not disappoint. So far, there are 32 girlfriends and still counting in the manga. And every single one of them has a very distinctive personality ... and character design. It's amazing how the writer and art designer have managed to make each girl unique in their own way. Honestly, I’m surprised they haven’t run out of ideas for future grilfriends and decided to include other races like elves, beastwoman, demons from fantasy genres or even doubles from parallel universes. But let´s be honest if Rentarou can go full super saiyan for the sake of one of his girlfriends, I´m sure this isn´t too far-fetched.

The story... the stor.. well there ain´t much of a story aside from getting 100 girlfriends, but each girl has been getting their own arcs for their character developments. Put it this way you won´t get bored from watching or reading it. There´s always something going down.

Honestly, it amazes me this manga/anime hasn’t been canceled yet. The amount of references it has, borders on a near copyright infringement that they would be swimming in lawsuits by now, but hey if they still can get away with it and still be funny while doing so, who am I to say anything?. ngl other mangakas probably saw this and thought, “Well, at least you made it funny, so I’ll let you off this time.”

As for my final thoughts—God PLEASE!! if I ever ask anything from you is to have a S3 of this anime!. If you thought this season was good wait to see the next one. All I´m saying is "Cousin, loli grandma and murrican cowgirl" with this you may choose to either trash this anime or throw yourself into the manga.

I love my shonen i love my isekai, but every once in a while i want to reset my young male brain with romance and hit the “it should have been me” yugioh meme. The one thing i never liked about the genre tho is the slow will they won’t they (of course they will) slow burn aspect of it. 100 girlfriend throws that out the window and does the complete opposite. Tense first kiss? Nah erbody get one. Struggling to say i like you? Nah they it love just from first sight. Jealousy? Nah erbody love eachother. It’s like they tackled the harem concept ... on easy mode. I love my violence and aura farmer main characters cus they are like self insert fantasies but dammit nobody could begin to imagine to be rentero. People would say i could never imagine 100 girlfriends but my guy rentero could get that and show them all love. Its not perfect but i haven’t seen another romcom that’s actually as funny as this. I never push it to friends who love punch punch new super move anime but soon as they say they want a new you’re off show i will always push this. For my romance anime it’s in my top 3. And i realize 100 gf’s could never be me lol Hakari best girl btw

This anime has been such a fun watch, with every episode giving me great entertainment. Still, Season 2, Episode 7 really shines as one of the funniest and best episodes so far. The humor here was amazing, making me laugh out loud several times. The timing of the jokes, the expressions of the characters, and the well-done scenes made it a delight to see.

I absolutely loved this episode! From beginning to end, it was filled with funny moments that kept me entertained. The animation looked great, and the way the scenes were put together made the comedy even better. Every moment felt new, interesting, and ... well-made to highlight the best parts of this show.

I would definitely give this episode a 10 out of 10. It was a perfect mix of humor, excitement, and great storytelling. I'm really looking forward to the next episodes of this series and can't wait to see what will happen!

In an era where anime is increasingly designed to appeal to non-anime fans—where almost every new series tries to be an edgy masterpiece with a self-important, overly serious narrative that mistakes darkness for depth. where too many modern series are trying to act like they're highbrow ... cinematic experiences to appeal to nonanime fans who rather watch generic live-action thrillers or medical dramas.

Enter 100 Girlfriends, an anime that fully embraces the absurdity of the medium. This is a gag series that is good, not perfect but good. It doesn’t try to be more than it is—it just wants to entertain, and it does so unapologetically. The premise is insane, and that’s exactly why it works: Rentaro, our main character, embarks on a ridiculous journey to find and love all 100 of his girlfriends.

If you enjoyed the over-the-top antics of Makeine or the chaotic fun of Bocchi the Rock!, this show delivers all that and more. It’s pure, unfiltered anime insanity—the kind that modern storytelling is sorely lacking.

Watch it for what it is. You'll enjoy it

Dragon Ball, Kuroko No Basket, Food Wars and many more anime references all in the span of 12 episodes.
My first review ever was for the first season of this incredible piece of art, and here I am for the second one.
The comedy is absurd, even more since the first season, and there are more characters, so that means more clichè-d situations, but they make it work pretty well. Hahari Hanazono is probably the best thing to ever happen to this anime.
There isn't very much to say, it's colourful, funnily pathetic (in a good way) and the music was enjoyable.
I don't want to spoil anything, ... if you watched season 1, you will love season 2 for sure. Hoping for season 3 to be announced because I can't get enough of products that have other anime references, breaking the fourth wall and over the top characters.
So dear reader, do yourself a favour and watch both seasons, you will not regret it

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 2 takes an additional leap and embraces a new more episodic formula than i recall from season 1 - perhaps since Kusuri was introduced. It involves a singular type of joke and then application through the personalities of all the girlfriends. This season seems to embrace the full off-the walls comedy setting with various success. Some jokes are truly obnoxious, and a handful are also truly hilarious.

The appearance of new girlfriends is spread in-between. You have the masochist, the beauty queen, the super shy girl, and the hungry girl introduced this season. ... The type of humor mostly depends on which girl was just introduced, and lets be honest this isn't a show about characters really developing - although Karane gets her own arc at the end.

Overall, if you enjoy the humor of the series it then you will enjoy it. If you were looking for plot then you were maybe in the wrong show.

This is clearly not a serious anime by any means. Nothing has any common sense and the writters (on both Manga & Anime side) are well aware about it and clearly breaks the 4th wall in self-awareness. You have to consider this anime as a Peak Cinema comedy around the usual harem romance.

Is it fanservice? Yes (heavily, even)
Is it enjoyable? Yes* (not always hit the mark but doesn't make you bored by any means)

The writing helps a lot to keep it consistent without getting stale. And the anime at the end of the season only covers, as of now, approximatively 25% ... of where the Manga is currently in Japan as of the time of writing (without any filers, all the events in the Manga is covered in the Anime)

I was seriously concerned that 100 girlfriends would fall off hard, and become stale rather quickly. I enjoyed season 1 quite a bit, and season 2 ramped up every aspect. More girls, more cute, great art in openings/endings, fun music, crazy scenarios, and tons more references to iconic anime to boot. From DBZ to the World God Only Knows, 100 girlfriends season 2 pays homage to the greats, and stands tall on those giant shoulders. The english dub is hilarious with pop culture references of the 2020's, the japanese dub is quirky and adorable. You can not go wrong with either. This however is not ... a perfect show in the sense that some of the episodes are a slog, but it is cut down from the manga to keep pacing the hijinks at rapid fire. With almost a dozen love interests at this point for an MC that doesn't suck, you think it would start getting hard to differentiate and keep up with all the characters. They all get ample screen time each episode, look totally iconic, and have numerous appearances due to quick editing and fast pacing. There are so many girls, they start having arcs amongst themselves. This show will make serious anime enjoyers laugh, chuckle, and giggle. Bibury Animation Studios can go from quintessential quintuplets in all its seriousness, to literally 100 girls comedy romp and still knock it out of the park (watch ep. 6 lol). Give it a watch dudes.
