Violet evergarden the only people who hate this show are people with no emotion. it is episodic at its core. but has one shared theme of exploring human emotion and connection and showcases that through the growth of the main character understanding love and accepting death. this show is perfect for what it is; i have no complaints. i like episodic storytelling if there is one throughline narratively, and violet evergarden has that. there is no filler; every second of these 12 episodes contributes to the emotional themes and character growth of violet the animation and music are just beautiful. despite its short length, it's not a binge anime due to its episodic nature, and IMO, it's best watched over several days or weeks. the same people that hate on shows like this watch bad shows like code geass
