Enen no Shouboutai: San no Shou

I'm surprised nobody has written a review of this season yet so here I am. I was quite excited for this season and was expecting it to be the anime of the season. It has not been anime of the season for me nor has it even been close to being. It's been a bit of a dissapointment.

Doesn't mean it's been bad, it hasn't, the story is still quite good, Fire Force has always been pretty interesting, and the visuals can still be classed as above mid, it's just this season doesn't look nearly as good as the first 2. The animation was always ... one of it's strong points and this season has been quite lackluster: lazy coreography, still frames, lack of ideas and so on. The pacing has also been quite slow and redundant.

In conclusion, Fire Force season 3 is a good watch, nothing more can be said. If you were expecting crisp action like in the first 2 seasons , this will feel like a kick in the nuts. It sucks at first but you eventually walk it off and get on with it, it's still worth the watch.

David Production has once again set the anime world ablaze with Fire Force Season 3, delivering a scorching continuation that cranks up the intensity, lore, and spectacle to new heights. From the very first episode, this season wastes no time plunging viewers back into the chaos of the Special Fire Force’s battle against the Evangelist’s apocalyptic machinations.

A few comedy beats (especially Tamaki’s "luck" gags) still feel tonally jarring mid-battle.

Some plot threads require prior knowledge; newcomers should start from Season 1.

Final Verdict:
With its jaw-dropping visuals, escalating stakes, and emotional character moments, Fire Force Season 3 is a ... near-perfect shounen sequel. Whether you’re here for the lore or just want to see Shinra kick flames at hypersonic speeds, this season delivers. 9/10 – A must-watch for action fans, especially on Animyne’s crisp streaming quality!

This season is split into 2 cours. First cour has 12 episodes.
Half the season has ed and the plot progress has been slow to say the least.
Compared to season 1 and 2 which had good pace, this season seems like a drag.
There have been implied and explicit revelations with half clarity.

The only saving grace and focus of the season seems to be good action and fight sequences with decent animation.

There is way too much time spent on recap of last episode and too many still scenes with just background music and angle ... of view rotating or other such POV techniques.

The OP soundtrack is good.
The direction is poor for this season. The screenplay is average. Seems like they are messing it up while animating, directing and editing.
