I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful anime recommendations you provided. Your thoughtful selection truly made my holiday season special. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the series you suggested, and it was clear that you put a lot of effort into choosing titles that would resonate with me, especially the anime Gate, which is very good, as you know I am on a mission to watch all Isekai but don't know how I missed the og anime like Gate and thank you very much for recommending me. my second favorite anime in the list is Ishura as it is very close to the anime called Drifters which is one of my fav animes and at last I was hesitant to watch the Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan to because I am not fond of genres like sex shifting or cross-dressing kinda things but as your 2 recommendations are top tier I have forced to watch the 1 ep and instantly I have hooked up with it, it is soo funny and relaxing and I liked it.

Thank you once again for your kindness and for being such a fantastic Secret Santa. Your recommendations have added a lot of joy to my anime-watching experience.

Hey, thanks a lot for the Secret Santa anime recommendation! I ended up watching Astra lost in space, it was a perfect watch for my short winter holidays. I thought it was very fun with some genuinely funny moments despite some of the flaws there were. I thought it was a naive series, but it made for a light and easy watch and I enjoyed it. I've also bumped Konohana kitan up a bit in my mental Plan to Watch, since one of my friends also recommend it from time to time. For now, I'm busy with Ashita no Joe, but after that, I'll go back to shorter anime for a while before tackling Gintama, probably, and Kitan might be there!

Since we have about 2 months to prepare I was thinking to have the volunteers we have now put together the event in the planning committee club and use Photopea to edit the images with instructions I give them. I wouldn't be able to put together the google doc probably and would just have ppl PM the answers to Maki Kun or something lol

I wrote some words about each title you recommended to me. I was trying to describe my expirience, I hope it came out clear and understandable (I know it has a lot of mistakes, hopefully it won't darken your mood). I know it wasn't necessary to write so much about each recommendation, but you did great work choosing and describing anime for me, so I wanted to answer on your efforts accordingly.

Actually, this is my first racing anime. I was surprised by art. It's super cool. This movie reminded me a lot of a cartoon from my childhood. And then I saw an easter egg from that cartoon (at least I believe in this) which made me melt in joy. I really enjoy anime and movies with such fast pace when you have no time to overthink any event. Also moments with girl were super cute and I'm weak to such things.

Trinity Seven
I like most of the H-situations and personalities of the girls, but main hero and the way he interacts with girls is so horrible, that I totally couldn't enjoy the show.
Angel Beats were the best in the end, but the beginning of the show was slow and there was no introduction, but in the end lack of info turned into it's one of the strongest features (in my opinion). And somehow Trinity Seven reminds me Angels Beats in it's way it drops you in the middle of everything with nothing in your hands, but this didn't work here. There was no mystery, no routine, no struggling. If I were 12-14 yo (when I first watched anime), I would have enjoyed it.
Trinity Seven is empty. For me it's just another seasonal anime, but it re-opened the door into pure harem for me and it will definitely affect my next choices.
Actually, I'm really glad that you made me watch this anime. If you haven't gifted it to me, I would have never watched it even having it in my PTW. Thank you for this.

ef: A Tale of Memories.
I knew about this anime for a time. But I knew literally nothing about it except for the source (visual novel).
First six episodes I was watching in a complete silence. I couldn't even think.
But then 7th episode appeared, broke my door, broke me, broke my peaceful world where every character were happy with their chosen ones. And each next episode after 7th was hitting harder and harder.
The only thing I wished was that the anime ended other way "School Days" ended.
Will definitely try visual novel. I want to see more.
When I read your letter to me and saw that you caught me red-handed in my love with emotional shows I was sincerely happy. There are people who don't care about emotions and somehow can evaluate show "objectively", considering subtext and other stuff that ordinary watchers can't see. I am absolutely opposite. I like to cry and if anime makes me cry I enjoy it the most.

Little Busters!
I can't say what Little Busters! were about. Baseball? School? Friendship? I think it's more about loneliness. I haven't wathed the second season, but I'll complete it this month, while my memory is still bright. It was interesting, but very slow. I was curious about "mystery of this world" and seeing this group of friends reminded me of my gray school days, I was reminded that my school life ended with no magical girls, I met no ghosts, I wasn't reincarnated with superpowers, I didn't met cute tsundere... Slow pace of this anime was a rich soil for such sad thoughts.
It's not the first time when I have that mind and I think it's a good thing.
