If you came into Season 2 expecting just more senseless violence, you came to the wrong place.
Now we’ve got feels and character development with well-written scenes—some even touching on topics that many claim are just "for diversity’s sake," but they clearly aren’t. From the comments I’ve seen on Episode 6, some people really stopped watching a great anime because of that. That’s their loss. I honestly don’t pay any mind to people who can’t appreciate something good without forcing politics into it.
This is a beautiful story with ass-kicking in the mix. If you don’t like that, then go watch Baki on repeat or something…
Wind Breaker Season 2 improves where it counts—story and character development. The fights are still top-tier, but now there’s real emotional weight behind some of the characters. They feel more fleshed out, and the plot moves with better pacing and purpose.
It’s still over-the-top in the fight scenes (which are so freaking godly choreographed), and it balances the action really well. If you enjoyed the energy of Season 1 but wanted more depth, Season 2 delivers—easily.
It’s a solid 9/10 at the moment, but might go up to a 10. Still have half a season to go!
