Welcome to My Profile Page!

Hey y'all, this is 🔥MushiRock11🔥 (コウマコト/孔真) and I'm just your Average Procrastinator and an Avid Anime Otaku/Weeb/Diehard fan. Proud Former Aozorian, it was good while it lasted...

Currently working and residing in Hong Kong. I plan to ultimately Settle in Japan, and I really hope it works out somehow!

Lazy, Bored, Lonely, Cynical and a Pessimistic person, in general. A big fan of Football - Real Madrid C.F. and Arsenal; and Japan, Procrastination-expert and Music-enthusiast. Really Slow Motion is my favourite all-music band, but I’m down for almost all kinds of music. Japanese, Traditional, Celtic, Roman, Classical, Instrumental, EDM and Electronic are some of my favourites. Also, J-pop and J-rock is totally right up my alley! A big Neko (Cat) person as well and my favourite colour is Turquoise.

Currently chiming on to:

I haven’t watched much of KDramas, JDramas and Chinese Dramas but here’s my MyDramaList even then, if you’re interested. Welcome2MyDramaList

I'm a Diehard Romance fan but I watch all kinds of shows nonetheless.

It's been a fairly long past three-to-four years, edit: almost 11.0 years now (starting from mid-Oct. - Nov. 2013), that I have Indulged in the Anime World and while this may have had a Bad Influence on me for various reasons, it was still something that I consider myself to be a Positive and Great Prospect in the long run.

Speaking of the top 3: Koe no Katachi is the number one all-time anime and movie across any other form of media for me, followed by a full-fledged episodic series that is Eureka Seven; Shingeki no Kyojin, Shigatsu Kimi no Uso, SanGatsu no Lion (March Comes in Like a Lion) then takes the 3rd place equally. Like I said before, these top 3 are prominent, at the time of this writing, and belong to a special part of me but the ones that follow after this are due to potentially change every once in a while.

As for my All-Time Top 25 Anime Favourites:

Honorable Mentions include:

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries)

For more of my honourable mentions (up to 100 shows in total), check this out: https://myanimelist.sitesdebloques.org/blog.php?eid=830175.

Feel free to ask me on my ratings, if you feel inclined to do so.✨

Please don't pay too much attention to the ratings of current seasonal shows since they're very likely to fluctuate numerous times during a season and there have even been times where the final score goes up or down, even two scores in the final weeks so it isn't until the final episode that the rating is "complete". Lately, I've been having this tradition of looking back at my lists and updating my scores, so there's that too. Impressions change and I acknowledge that hence why I'd like to believe that a couple of weeks after my completion of the said show is the most "true score" to my experience until, if applicable, I change my mind for later.✨

I tend to round off early towards the Higher Scores because I love Anime and so I feel Immensely Inclined to be a little Less Objective and More Lenient more often than not, I suppose.

Moreover, I’m said to be a somewhat Strict Critic so I may rate the Individual Departments: Storyline/Plot Development, Characterization/Character Development, Sound Department, Art/Animation Scale and lastly but most importantly Personal Enjoyment harshly, but I’ll be a little more lenient while giving the overall rating (mostly). ✨

Favourite quote (from Tatami Galaxy): "There is no such thing as that rose-colored campus life. Why? Because there is nothing rose-colored in this world. Everything is all a bunch of colors mixed up, you see."

Here’s my Personal Badge from mal-badges!

I'm level on mal-badges. View my badges.

Random tidbit: Since I just Graduated from High School (Edit: May 2020), here's a little random thought. How I wish my high school graduation could've been like this...✨

I'm usually always Online so feel free to say anything to me whenever you wish to and drop by in my profile. I'll be g off here with a little anime info down below so please make sure to check it out if you can, ありがとうございます ~

oh wow. I never realized there are so many different types of curry.

how have you been doing? I recently was in Hawaii for my sister t bachelor/bachelorette for 7-days.

And to be honest even when they used to lead their armies, it wasn't much better, especially when you think of leaders from back then, even when they were 100.000+ casualties in a great battle it was positive if they end up winning, the human life never meant anything when you do not have the power or great wealthness.

For Poland I'm a bit surprised because I always felt like they have a strong cultural identity but I never went there except at the airport, though for Netherlands this is the result of speaking more english than your native language, though I heard that the country had a lot of very good sides, it's apparently one of the better place in Europe to move there.

What are the examples for the Chinese ones? The one I the most is obviously the "Na ge" because it's the most popular one because of the meaning and the meme song but it's not the best example xD

Damn ahahah so it's really not just some cliché, but yeah sadly it's not surprising, it's always been a gangster city anyway, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Chicago is Al Capone, and even 100 years later it didn't change much I guess. I think I heard that Baltimore was also famous for being dangerous. And thanks for the recommendations if I ever go there but it won't be for this year, I will mainly go to Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles.
Oh I just meant any interesting store or concept since there are so many of them in the US and here we only have like 10 or 20% of the brands they can have there, this is why I was wondering if some were worth it or not.

I will definitely go to Taipei then, I'll probably love it. Though what you said about the city center is also quite the same in Japan to be honest, not every city sure but most of them really look the same in their city center. What do you mean for JAV actresses, like there are ads in the streets like in Japan? xD
I'm not too surprised, and how many westerners were there? I don't know if Taiwan is a popular tourist destination for Europeans and Americans tourists like Japan is.

Ah... well good luck to your dad I guess, hopefully it won't be bad in this case especially if he can eventually go to Seoul instead, even if he starts with Cairo.
It's true that you almost never see people from Asia here except Chinese people because they're basically visiting any country at this point (I still saw quite a lot of them in Morocco). Egypt is very open to European tourism though since you don't even need a port to enter Egypt if you're from a country in the European Union.
But yeah better wait a bit for things to be sure before announcing it to your friends or anyone ahah. At this point better directly go visit North Korea with a guide than try any DMZ area I guess, though I don't really know how it works to be honest.

It's a good opportunity to try taking these classes in Japanese to be honest but if you have still time I guess it's time to full try-hard Japanese this summer to be ready by that I mean focusing on the specific words from this field so you don't get lost when you don't understand words you didn't learn before because they were only used in fields you'll never meet during basic Japanese courses, if you know what I mean.

what type of curry do you like?
Ashhk Apr 12, 10:17 AM
To be honest, I think most of these guys don’t feel anything at all, that’s precisely why they’re able to keep doing this kind of job without any remorse, treating people like they're managing an online simulation game.

Though I can’t say too much since I haven’t been there yet, American culture is basically everywhere especially when you live in Western Europe which is kind of a shame because it feels like we’re losing part of our own identity because of it.
And sadly, those islands can’t really gain independence either because it would likely just leave them even poorer and facing more problems than any actual benefits from being independent.

I’d also say it’s part of the experience I mean when you’re genuinely interested in different cultures and want to travel somewhere exotic or totally different from where you live you also want to immerse yourself in the language as much as possible. Imagine how boring the world would be if English were the only language, that’s also why it’s even more ridiculous when Americans (or other English speakers) refuse to make any effort to learn a second language and then complain when others don’t speak theirs.

Was Chicago a cool city to visit? I know there’s a lot of history there, but it also has a reputation for being extremely unsafe.
Do you have any store recommendations in the US? There are so many American brands that I’m a bit lost haha.

It honestly doesn’t surprise me when it comes to Taiwan that was the impression I had of the country. Its politics reflect that too especially how it’s more open to the West compared to China.
Too bad I only got to see Taipei’s airport LOL maybe in a few years, hopefully...

Well since it ended up being Seoul I think that’s the best outcome for you and your dad although I’d be a bit worried about the work pressure there. Still it shouldn’t be that different from Japan.
And yeah, except for North Korea obviously lol. I’d be curious to see how restricted the guided tours are there, at least the country isn’t totally closed to tourists it’s just filled with propaganda and you’ll never really get to see the “real” side of it.

Yeah unless you discover a new ion at some point that you can turn into something more. But that’s just how life works and the inconvenient part is having to make choices about how to live your life even though you’re still young and your personality and interests might change a lot over time. But yeah that's how it is :S

Indian foods beside chicken tikka masala. I'm not a huge fan of curry, but I would love to taste what Indian curry taste like.
Lexie Mar 15, 7:09 AM
What is your favorite foods that you haven't tried but want to?

Ashhk Mar 12, 4:25 AM
Exactly, that's also why I don't really understand how most politicians don't have a mental breakdown after years of activism with absolutely nothing changing on their side and realizing that most of what they fought for either doesn't improve the situation or makes things worse. This is basically how it is for most political parties here.

I would say the US also tries to do things this way, but they do it in a way that doesn't work and ends up making things worse for everyone compared to Asian countries. In Europe, though, it's very individualistic, and that's why I'm kinda neutral about it.

Yes, Hawaii would also be a good comparison. It’s like if Hawaii were partially destroyed and groceries cost five times more than on the mainland USA, but nobody would even talk about it on TV.

I wouldn't blame them since just doing the usual konbini clerk job would be too much for me mentally in the long term lol, let alone speaking a different language. It's just that our European culture makes us think most people would easily learn English no matter where they're from. What was funny to me is that there are a lot of things written in English on Japanese streets (for foreigners, of course), but they make an effort to write them in a way that people who don't speak Japanese are not totally lost, even though most people there don't speak English. Meanwhile, here in , you'll never find anything written in English except to make it "cool" on some shops, but otherwise, we don't care. Either you speak French, or you're lost lol. That's also why tourists get mad at French people when they come here most of us can speak English, but we just won't.

Yup, now I’m just planning to visit popular destinations I haven’t seen yet and that are still considered must-sees, no matter how touristy they are. That’s why I’m going to New York, Los Angeles, etc., in a few months I’ve never been to the USA before. By the way, how would you compare Taiwan to Japan? Taiwan seems culturally closer to Japan than to China in of how the country operates, but compared to Hong Kong, what were the biggest differences?

In Tokyo, at some point, it felt like there was at least one on every street lol. But to be honest, there are still a LOT of convenience stores here in the city center I’d say sometimes it’s comparable to the amount in Japan. The difference, though, is that none of them are open 24/7 because it’s illegal, and on Sundays, they close at 12 PM, so you have to go early. For a second, I thought K-Circle was the same as K-Market in Finland because it’s their biggest convenience store chain and the logos look similar I wonder if they tried to copy it lol. No idea why Carrefour works so well in South America but not in Asia, but it is what it is. I’d say Carrefour is basically the Walmart of Europe. I always thought HiperDino was one of Spain’s biggest brands, but it turns out it’s mainly based in the Canary Islands. I went there a few years ago, and now I’m surprised to learn they have such huge hypermarkets only on those islands.

Sadly, yes. I didn’t try taking public transportation, but to be honest, it looked pretty bad in Marrakech.
Haha, that would be awesome. Well, Morocco is similar but not in how it operates. Morocco is very open to tourism and foreigners, while Algeria is the exact opposite you need to get a complicated visa to visit, which is very hard to obtain unless you have Algerian nationality and live abroad. Tunisia has become more extremist in recent years with xenophobic policies. Apparently, it wasn’t too pleasant for my parents to visit 20 years ago either just like their experience in Egypt as tourists. They said it was way more intense than in Morocco when it comes to people trying to scam you and pressure you into buying things… And as for Libya, well, there’s no point in mentioning it with how bad the situation is. So, I’d say Morocco is by far the best country to settle in, unless your father can get a work visa for Algeria.

Both sound awesome as long as you put the work in, I guess. But a Japanese language school would be amazing for the experience ahah.
