I read the novels at http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Maria-sama_ga_Miteru They haven't been adding new stuff for a while though, so I hope they'll still finish the rest of the novels.

I've only read the manga and the novels, so I'm not sure, but I think the manga and the anime both tell the same story. The manga is drawn a bit different than the anime though, but it looks really cute. I really like the manga so I think it's definitely worth to read it, but maybe you won't find it as interesting as me if the anime and the manga both have the same story and you've already seen the anime.
