Starting from the early childhood there have been always anime in my life - "Tosho Daimos", "Moomins", "Yattaman", later "Pokemon" or "Dragonball". I began my "serious" adventure with anime in 2001, after I have watched "Princess Mononoke". I quickly became a fan of Hayao Miyazaki, but I deeply fell in love with anime few years later. After "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" it was like an avalanche, so there where: "Ghost in the Shell", "Appleseed", "Akira".... Finally "Death Note" made me sure, that some anime can be the most extraordinary and outstanding works of narrator, story, atmosphere and art that the world has ever seen. I like manga too, but moving images are for me more... moving? :D I don't know exactly why, but I prefer anime. Maybe with one huge exception - "Eden - it's an endless world", which is simply perfect only as manga can be. Anime version could lose its specific atmosphere and artistic excellence. Nevertheless, recently I am constantly trying to catch up with new decent manga series, hoping they will be properly animized one day. Nice to meet you, anime and manga fans from the whole Earth! - Quick Updates regarding the club -
• Kaixi takes a time-out
The creator and the one who has managed all of the earlier Hurt and Heal tournaments has taken a time-out for the tournament. Which means that I'll be in charge of managing all of the H&H tasks when Kaixi isn't present.
However, managing H&H won't work well unless we all can cooperate. So I hope that we all can get along. about anything concerning H&H are highly appreciated.
• Hurt & Heal: Season IV is now active! (H&H Tournament 2011)
As the title says. The Anime Selection for the 4th Season is now open; and has been for the past 3 days. I'm the one to blame for not sending out any messages to the club.
So for those who still haven't voted, feel free to do so here. However, the first section "First Come, First Served" has been completed already.
The remaining and active section is the second section. Section II: Most Popular. Be sure to vote before the current set deadline, which is the 5th of January 2012.
Please leave me a PM/comment if you think that the time for voting in the Anime Selection is too short. Rules and information about how to vote can be found in the topic.
