9 - Great. The series has everything an Anime should have. It was gorgeous! I recommend these to everyone.
8 - Very Good. The series is really good, but has some flaws. Recommended if you want to see something new.
Most of these distinguish themselves from the rest by an interesting plot/character or amazing art/music.
7 - Good. These anime give you enough satisfaction to enjoy anime. Most have plot issues.
I would only recommend a few.
6 - Fine. A series that has many flaws and only focuses on non important themes.
They only give little enjoyment.
5 - Average. It´s usually a light parody of the genre on hand. These anime may be better than 'Good'. But don't expect too much from these shows.
Some are funny trash series that you can enjoy.
4 -Bad. The series has a lot of flaws and is not appealing.
I did not enjoy this series at all.
3 - Very Bad. The series is not so good or is a bad Special/OVA.
2 - Horrible. The series is only shit. If you want to know a horrible Anime then watch these. (Almost unwatchable)
1 - Apalling. The series should not be considered as Anime, cause Anime should bring joy and create good feelings. (unwatchable)
**NOT RATED - I couldn´t judge the Anime cause I dropped it OR I was too lazy to give it a score. ^^
So to further explain how I rate anime;
I give an individual score from 1 to 10 with .1 increments for:
Story, Genre, Characters, Soundtrack/Music, Art&Animation
All ratings are not necessarily mathematical but it usually has a certain range.
For 10's I have a range from 8.6 - 10.
Anime that are rated 8.4 - 9.7 can be rated 9.
Anime that are rated 7.4 - 8.8 can be rated 8.
Anime that are rated 6.4 - 7.8 can be rated 7.
Anime that are rated under 6.5 are up for debate.
Anime that are rated under 4.6... I have no idea.
Well for the entries there are some I didn't watch but from the ones I've seen, even if I wouldn't put some in my top, I like almost all of them. Maybe Violet Evergarden but it's been so long, I just didn't like it when I saw it right after it aired and I was young so I probably just need to rewatch it. Also I was thinking of starting Gankutsuou soon.
Okay, also speaking of that I just started Ni no Kuni and I already love it, I especially love how we have real Ghibli animations for the cutscenes sometimes.
Yes, compared to back then most of the OST/albums are released online on Spotify or YouTube now. Sometimes I can't find some OST online but it's mostly for very unknown shows and they're often avaiable in CD format, but you need to buy them :(
Great!! Who knows if we'll be able to emulate Switch 2 games on it lol, but for that there are also better (and more expensive) hybrid PC consoles like that like the Asus Rog Ally for example.
Bro, my love for sci-fi is immeasurable. I watched this show called Dark on Netflix, and it's the best thing I have ever watched in my life.- If I had learned German, watching Dark would be even more fun!
Good stacks tbh, I just think you shouldn't repeat the other seasons of the same anime even if you didn't count them but it makes it a bit harder to read I think it would just be better if you noted which seasons are your favorite in the single entry you add every time.
Also you reminded me of some anime to watch just like the Miyazaki one Future Boy Conan, I forgot about it and didn't watch it yet.
I have no idea for Toei, but I hope so. I would love to see Skypiea adapted once again to be honest it was one of my favorite arcs from what I read, I stopped right before Enies Lobby though lol but I really like the beginning of Water Seven I would like to see it adapted in a modern way too.
Some of these OG anime had awesome OST, even the 1st opening for OP is legendary xD the same could be said for Dragon Ball and its OST and openings.
On the Steam Deck it depends on which game you're playing, when I play Stardew Valley I can play for 8 hours without recharging it when it comes to some big resource draining games sometimes it only last 2-3 hours at best. And yes you can play emulators on the Steam Deck you can even emulate Switch games lol.
Okay sure, I will take some time before starting a long show anyway, I have too many seasonals to catch up and I'm slow lol.
Well I guess as far as you like the story seeing more added elements/backstories is always a plus yes
We still don't have that much info on the One Piece remake and Wit studio doing it is good news but at the same time you never know how much budget they'll have especially since they tend to stop animating some shows after the first few seasons like how it happened with Vinland Saga or Attack on Titan so if the plan is to really remake One Piece since the beginning it's gonna be difficult and if it's just a few arcs it's a bit disappointing to really call it a remake.
I would have been surprised if they decided to fully remake Rose of Versailles but well I probably won't watch it if it's a movie I mean it's better to watch the original show then to watch the movie they're making now
Well for travelling it's the best thing to do to be able to keep up with your PC games even when you don't have a laptop or don't want to bring one because it takes too much space.
It might sound weird but I will probably only buy the Switch 2 if people are able to crack it to have games for free, otherwise it's just way too expensive...
Okay thanks for the precise watch order especially with the MAL stack list (btw this feature is one of the best thing they ever added to the website).
I need to be motivated because it sure will be long, especially that a few months ago when I was still interested in watching it I didn't know there were 50 eps worth of side stories ahaha, but are the Gaiden really worth it or it's just some addings to the world building and characters?
Yes anyway I like most of the remakes we've got recently, we're getting more and more remakes, every seasons there's a least one remake of a show, we also have tow remakes of OG anime currently airing and both are great (Yaiba is by Conan's author anyway so instant classic and I also love Anne Shirley so far, probably because of the older canadian vibes).
Yes ahahaha, they were also not afraid of using songs from the original DB/DBZ series, it was always hilarious when they did it, but well Gintama had some many good parodies this is why this anime is legendary.
The Steam Deck is very convenient tbh, I like to use it in most of these situations, you can just chill with it when you don't want to be on the computer or play when you're somewhere else or in the garden, I also just like having that "Nintendo Switch" feeling even though I'm playing PC games
Okay I feel like this is going to be for me ahaha I really like battle of wits, especially when it's not just in a shounen and in an anime with actually a lot of thinking, but there aren't many nowadays and I think I watched most of the good ones except this one.
And okay for the other entries, I think the best thing to do would be to watch it in release order? I think this is always the best thing to do to not be confused by the watching order anyway ahah especially since it started in the 80s anyway.
For the gore aspect it is probably the reason it was made as an OVA and not a TV series I would guess? Since back then these shows were heavily censored and you couldn't even show blood I think, Hokuto no Ken is the perfect well known example because despite being a series entirely based on violence and fighting there wasn't a single drop of red blood shown on screen and it was always a white light.
I wonder what the justification is for making a remake of a series to high rated and universally considered already perfect as it is though. (Except if a lot of people really can't get themselves to watch older shows due to the animation).
I would like to rewatch Gintama too already, but it's way too long, though I rewatched some of the best comedy episodes, especially the parody ones (The one where Hijikata goes to DBZ universe to buy cigarettes because they don't exist anymore in his universe always gets me LOL)
I'm playing on Steam Deck mostly for chill games like that, so yeah it's the PC version
