Double posted side note: it’s pleasant surprise that I am on myanimelist right now in China without needing a VPN.

Decent sized bags. Still in China right now, I didn’t want to be in the same room people were cooking with an ingredient that gets me very sick so I have an hour to sit in the lobby and kill time. Well, half an hour now. Anyway, trip has been OK. I have maybe 1RMB in change, but as of yesterday I am completely broke. That’s a good thing though, I found a lot to buy!

So far some of my purchases include one of the infamous I heart beijing shirts, a faux gucci hat, a fan, three pairs of clear lenses glasses, five really nice wigs, some bootleg kuroko no basket postcard set that just took a bunch of fanart off the internet, a totoro neck pillow, a league of legends teemo shirt, three hand carved wooden buddha bracelets, some russian hat, a vladimir putin pocket watch, two mao (i can’t spell his last name or it, zheong???) hats, temporary tattoos, and I think some other things. The currency is great here but there’s TOO MUCH to buy.

Yesterday I was at the Hefei Wanda amusement park briefly, went on the huuuuuge yellow dragon roller coaster. IT WAS AWESOME, I had to go twice!

Oh yeah, are you watching Free season 3?? The dorm wifi here is ehhh, but I made a friend of mine help me the episode so I could watch it (streaming here does notttt work with this internet). I.. am disappointed. I don’t like the direction the first episode is going with the universities and all the new/side characters.

I plan to just read the rest online, all of the chapters out should be there. I think I had checked online before once when I thought about reading it. And I plan on taking lots of photos, don't you worry!! I hope I can find some cool stuff while I'm there. I think I am allowed to take two bags when I return home, so I have another one in my suitcase just in case. I've never been a huge spender, but I'm really hoping to get some stuff there.

Because of the forum here STILL being down, I've been browsing Aarinfantasy's BL forums sometimes to ease my forum curiosities. There are these card things on there with characters and if you have some they show up whenever you make a forum post, it's so cool. Anyway, I entered a card giveaway and ended up getting some of my favourite characters!! don't have many/any posts, hence the 9 post count, I usually lurk. But look, so many lovely characters aaa! I am so happy.

Oh!! Double reply here, but I forgot some thing. I swear, I keep clicking on the forum tab and being sad because it's gone. Anyway, I went to the thrift store the other day. There's always a couple volumes of manga there it seems, but none of them the last few times I've went there had anything too interesting. Yet.. this time I found the first 2 volumes of Loveless! It's so rare to see BL or shounen ai manga at thrift stores, at least for me anyway. I was so happy. I had to get them.

One big thing about Loveless is that the ending of the anime, not sure if you've seen it, but I disliked it? I haven't seen the anime for a long long time (and I only watched it once!) but I do it having one of those read-the-manga or unfinished endings, you know? I am in love with the whole people-have-cat-ears-if-they're-a-virgin thing, as goofy as it is it's just such a hilariously good part of the plot. I am hoping so many unanswered questions from the show get answered in the manga, not that the show is very prominent in my memory as is.

I'm doing well! And some cultural tour type thing, we're going to be staying at university dorms there but we're going to travel around to different ones. The itinerary thing was still kind of vague last time I checked it. But basically we are going to visit famous landmarks and do some learning about the culture etc at the universities as well as meeting some students there.

I'm really hyped up for the shopping portion of the trip though, since geez they really have everything there and with how low the currency is compared to mine it's going to be amazing in that sense. I hope I'll find some good things.

Oh my gosh, communication in any form is back? Sweet! I have been demotivated from reading much because it seems troublesome to navigate MAL when so many pages are done. I'm so glad profiles are back, it's a blessing.

Did I tell you about China yet? I'm going to be away there for most of July. Weird place to travel, I know, but I had to take the opportunity while it was there. If I hadn't mentioned it already, things were pretty iffy upon getting an updated port & a Chinese visa so I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to be able to go yet.

Man, just how long have we been talking to each other now? It really seems like forever. I've been bad at communication these past few months, but I've been kinda anxious when most MAL pages were unavailable and I wasn't able to check messages.
