Hey everyone, IronBerserk here with a message about how I appreciate any constructive comment that anybody is willing leave me, positive or negative. Oh, and I do enjoy simple positive comments, so feel free to give me some of those and boost my already massive ego :P lol!

I like reading manga and watching anime, but as simple times. I've seen some of the lists of people on this site and they simply put mine to shame. I only like to read and watch the most popular, highly rated, and/or classics among the anime and manga community. So very obscure stuff just isn't my thing unless it is highly recommended to me.

I tend to rate even on-going manga once I've caught up with them and seen that the series has been going on for quite a while. In other words, any ON-GOING manga that is below 10 volumes will not be rated. Ratings could change if quality gets better or worse. Also I would like to point out to my readers that I have higher standards for manga than I do for anime. It is exactly like the comparison of novel versus movies. Novels will most of the time always be better due to them having more time and less restriction in adding massive detail that expands the story and characters within a specific world. The same logic applies to manga in my opinion. I have come across much more masterpiece manga's than I have for anime's and almost all manga masterpieces sur the anime masterpieces, with a few exceptions of course. Fullmetal Alchemist being one of them since I actually prefer the first anime adaptation to the manga original adaption...but not by much.

One final thing, everyone on this site should read Berserk by Kentaro Miura. There is a reason why it's ranked number 1 greatest manga of all time...it's simply the greatest piece of literature ever written and I've read lots of books from classic novels, to comic books, to graphic novels, etc... Trust me, just read Berserk! You will not regret it :)

Your nausica review sounds like a submissive clingy woman telling friends that the dude who beats her up every day is actually caring and perfect and she doesn't deserve someone as perfect as him.

your gungrave review is straight up FACTS
Based12 Jul 3, 2020 11:11 AM
besides 2003 is not very well written and brotherhood is amazingly written.
2003: a good anime
brotherhood : one of the best series of all time
Based12 Jul 3, 2020 11:07 AM
that's not true at all just compare the lust from 2003 to bradley from brotherhood ( lust is a horrible character if you compare it to the fuherer of brotherhood ) and her conclusion is trash.
,my point is that most of the villains in 2003 are irrelevant and overall disappointing.
brotherhood has functional villains but most of the villains are really great like envy or the fuherer.
besides dantes is a pretty shitty villain and her conclusion is one of the worst writing i ever seen.
2003 is my favorite version but its very flawed and brotherhood is near flawless but i neither 2003 is more mature the series just pretends to have a more oscure tone but that's all, it only contains it superficially .
and besides most of the conclusions of the are trash or very poorly written.
brotherhood is better in every department even the most because 2003 has a very poor use of its music.
but yeah i disagree with most of the things and even the lust of 2003 is very simplistic and overall not a great villain and the end she was irrelevant to the story.
and in brotherhood there is not a single character that is irrelevant to the show
Based12 Jul 1, 2020 4:08 PM
btw ashita no joe is really great.
and its very tragic the ending
Based12 Jul 1, 2020 3:06 PM
thanks for replying.
although there are some homunculus that are not that relevant to the story ( like lust, gluttony or sloth) what the 2003 version did is not so great because they are as irrelevant as the ones in brotherhood ( the main difference is that they have more screen time but in the end they add nothing to the plot ) the reason why is not a problem in brotherhood is because those homunculus are more like functional villains. it would be a flaw if the show only had functional villains but the show has amazing and very deep villains like wrath, envy ,father ,greed, scar, etc ( that are way better than the ones of 2003 ).
btw: most of the conclusions of the homunculus in 2003 are really stupid or dum and you notice how not one homunculus was relevant for the show. ( the only good homunculus was lust ).
brotherhood wins, baby !!!!!
Based12 Jul 1, 2020 9:56 AM
good taste mate.
but brotherhood is far superior than the original anime

Why did you rate the death note anime higher than the manga.

I just wanted to tell you how much i appreciate your Gungrave review.
Seeing all those 10 and 9's really makes me wonder if i watched a different show from those people.
Actually never mind it's just classical MAL where you find the reviews are usually full of bullshit written by people who actually don't put thought into them.
You pretty much said everything i thought.

Nice Nausicca review. About the sizes, as far as I can tell the manga was meant to be a more traditional american comic size. I was given the seven volume set when I visited Japan a long time ago and it at least was printed in a large format.
An interesting tid bit, I read once that some of the volumes where done in dark pencil to save time.

Your review of Madoka was essentially on point for what I thought about the series. I enjoyed both the anime and your review. Good job.

I would say that *most* teenagers wouldn't have that mentality. Kyouko's back story was just as tragic, if not more so that Homura's. Sayaka's issues were blown a bit out of proportion though.

Madoka was kind of the weakest character in the series, so hopefully we get more development from her in the third movie.

Great review on Madoka Magica! Although I will have to disagree about the characters sounding too mature part. They were 13-14, and Mami was at least 15. As a teenager, I didn't feel like any of the dialogue was out of place for that age group. But that might just be me. :D
It’s time to ditch the text file.
