Thanks for the kind words!

I'm glad Groz, feeel free to recommend me a manga too.

Thanks for reading it, yer it's honestly one of those things that feels like the kink stuff is just overdone but to me it's all about the characters and especially the romance plot between the two mains.

Kyouko was a great character I felt too and it's super emotional as her last words to her friend are "I'm glad I got to know you". Like I said it's a story that makes you just appriciate life and the moments.
Inudrew Feb 1, 2022 10:53 PM
Oh thank you for your responses Groz, it's really cool to have you ask my opinion.

For Marcross I really do want to check it out because it looks really unique, just not always in the mood for anime so I'm gonna check it out down the road.

As for Sundome. It's very sexual and at times can come off extremley pornographic but it's much more than that and I kinda feel it's more of a weeder device for if you don't like that type of stuff to stick with it, because when you get past a lot of the comedic elements there is a really heart wrenching love story that honestly sent me into a moment of contomplation of life.

It's an amazing story about just enjoying life and spending time with those you love even if it's a sex comedy a lot of core elements that make you sit back and think "Yer life is really great isn't it"

Hi again Groz,

I liked very much your analysis of Yuutai Nova, and found very interesting your reference to Incels, which is something new to me. I appreciated very much your remarks and viewpoints, all of which I agree with. It is particularly interesting your statement, “We are prisoners to this kind of programming”. Somehow we believe we are “special” and “the best there is”, when in fact we are machines ourselves, although of a biological kind. There is a manga that I read very recently that really moved me. It’s called Karakuri Odette (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karakuri_Odette). I really, really loved it. The main character is so very human, although it’s a machine. She is also a prisoner to her programming; and yet, I believe she shows that we can escape it, to some extent…

Sorry that I always talk about manga ^_^’

Many thanks for sharing your personal experiences. I appreciate it very much, and it resonates with my own experience. I also had a "raven haired goddess", and also in my case it was not the real “her”. Still, we need our raven haired goddesses, be them real or not. In a very respectful way. One such goddess, whom I love although she does not exist, is and will always be Makise Kurisu…

Again, sorry that I cannot reply to your messages right away. I will, but it takes time…

By the way, there was a message of yours that I wanted to reply now, but now it’s gone. I only that you were mentioning Jimi Hendrix, who’s indeed the character portrayed in my profile...

Hi Groz,
please excuse me for my late replies. Lots of things to do these days. Yesterday was the birthday of a good friend of mine, the drummer in my band. He organized a big party night with our band playing and then a free podium. I played 4 hours non-stop, it was great ^_^

Anime vs. manga – it also depends on the experience you had. For instance, have you ever read Claymore? The manga is beyond great, it’s a masterwork in my opinion, and the anime was also very good until they decided not to have a second series (maybe it had not been so successful, I don’t know). At that point they cut down the story and turned into something else completely. Something really senseless. I hated that. They really betrayed the spirit of the story. If I were the author I’d be tremendously disappointed. I suppose that when I watch an anime I am subconsciously afraid of being betrayed…

But you can be betrayed by manga too. A case of that was with Attack on Titan… I read a lot of its chapters and liked them a lot. But then something happened to the story and that didn’t click with me – I felt betrayed by the author, in a sense, so I stopped reading it. That’s also why I never watched the series… Perhaps it was a mistake though...

Ah, the Steins;Gate VN… I really want to play it one day. I never had the chance so far...

Many thanks for telling me of Bokurano! I will read it – it looks really an interesting manga...

Thank you so much for your kind words about my video, and for the like! And you write, that’s wonderful. I have a good online friend who writes stories for archiveofourown.org. Do you also publish your works? I’d love to read them! And drawing a manga… ah, that would be fantastic. I cannot draw anything, unfortunately…

Yes I also love Irisviel and Illyasviel… And also the poor homunculi that are not at the center of the story. Why do they have to suffer? What is of them that is less than human, apart from their lifespan?

Yeah Fate/Zero and UBW, amazing works. And I liked quite a lot Heaven’s Feel! Unbelievable how that story lends itself to so many excellent retellings...

I love both manga and anime, though it is true that I read much more than I watch. I think that's because, not always though in most cases, manga is the original "opus" and anime is an adaptation of the opus. And in certain cases the adaptation is not satisfactory -- the story or the characters are... abridged, or simplified, I don't know. I tend to develop a great sympathy with my "heroes" and "heroines", and I don't like to see their depths "shortened", or compressed, so as to fit in the medium.

But there are cases in which the anime is truly perfect! Steins;Gate, for instance, it's "The" anime to me. I literally love all characters. I watched the first series 10 times, and I'll watch it again and again.

There are great new manga that I would suggest you to have a taste of. One of them is my current mania, "Shiori Experience", from which I took my profile image. But there are others that are also fantastic works. I like very much "I Want to Hold Aono-kun So Badly I Could Die", and I've read "Hinamatsuri" at least a dozen times (I swear)

I'm also into literature and science, to some extent. Still I have to confess that I prefer reading manga to reading a book these days...

Interesting your mentioning of the "litmus test", I knew the expression "litmus paper" that basically refers to the same thing...

And you like music, that's nice! You should definitely check out Shiori Experience; something tells me that you're going to like it :-)
I'm also very much into the '70s and also like the '80-90s; after that, not much hit me as deeply interesting.

And I compose music. Or at least I structure together some music ideas. It usually works like this: I finish to read a manga / watch an anime; I suffer from the sudden absence of my virtual "friends"; and I sublimate everything into a musical idea. Just to give you an idea, this is a song that I wrote after watching Fate / Zero, inspired by the character of Irisviel von Einzbern:

Here I tell a little more about that song https://noblogo.org/eidon/irisviel

Hi Groz! Sure you can call me Eid ^_^

Of course I'll be glad to share with you all the things I notice regarding the ions we have in common. And I'll be happy to read about the things you noticed. I call it "social perception" -- your ability to see gets augmented when you merge various points of view.

No I only studied philosophy in high school. But I love the subject very much...

Re: Aku no Hana: indeed one of the greatest manga masterworks. I don't know if you know Frank Zappa. In his early days he had a ion for the music of a great composer called Varese. He used Varese's music as a test: he let people listen to Varese, and if the listener rejected it, Zappa would try to "steer away" from that person. I would not be that extreme and do something different: I would consider positively a person that reacted positively to something I love. And I would probably ask if they like Aku no Hana ^_^

Yeah, likewise, really pleased to meet you Groz!

Hi Groznia,
thank you for your message. Yeah many bad things are going on, and that's often because people live their lives in a superficial way. Decisions, behaviors, preferences -- they often seem to me dictated from some sense of the mainstream; the "normal"; the expected. I like Oshimi because he is one of the few that focuses on this very problem. His Aku no Hana is a deep reflection on this.
I'm happy you reached out, thank you very much!
