THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mob's in love~ I still find it funny how he trains himself to get better in shape. Good action as expected. I like how the athletes fought the students at school and one of the guys had Josuke-style hair and clothes. Also lol'd @ Mob's reaction after getting the "love letter". Such a priceless moment. Teru's also fucking awesome. |

I think this episode was good. Anyone who have read the manga probably will notice how nice the build up for future arc (Ritsu). They introduced new character, Teru, another esper like Mob, and then left us a cliff hanger episode, neat. This mean we will see half episode of Mob vs Teru next week :D My hype is 99%!!! Also, before anyone said, the animation suck in this episode, please read the credit. This episode was drawn by one person alone, Moroyuki Sara, an animator who mainly works for Production I.G since 2013 (and then also work with BONES on Akagami no Shirayuki Hime season 2). Her animation in this episode is really good, very loose and feel a bit cartoony. Another talent that I haven't discovered before, until this episode (Although japanese nerds have noticed her high-quality animation in Giovanni no Shima). Once again bless Mob Psycho! I hope Kameda, Oda, and other will deliver crazy animation in next episode. Note : Kameda actually draw some KA (mostly still), but was uncredited. Mod Edit: Removed reference to removed post. |

Turned out more or less as i thought it would, fantastic. And even though in most cases i quite dislike that episodes end at such interesting moments i'am okay with this as now i have quite a good reason to wait for next episode, just freaking amazing, finally i got into this anime. |

This episode had good action and introduced some fun characters but visually and writing-wise it wasn't as good as the previous 3 imo but it still had its moments. I really loved that the body-building guys actually cared about Mob and went to save him. |

Another hilarious episode. But still, time for more punch and beating from person beside Mob. |

That was a good episode. Reigen's CG editing exorcism was hilarious XD These school names though, Salt Middle School, Black Vinegar Middle School, What?XD So Mob's brother is envious of him and it runs the other way around as well, Everyone craves the things they don''t have. The body building squad entrance was damn epic, They wrecked those guys. Teruki seems quite strong, I wonder how he fares against Mob though. |

FUCKIN I PAUSED ON THIS BY ACCIDENT AND I STARTED CRYING FROM LAUGHING SO HARD I know I love this show but I forget how funny it is every week. I'm glad that we are getting more time with Ritsu. Also lol @ Teru saying he's the main character; someone took Reigen's advice last episode to heart. |

Reigen and Dimple are so hilarious, this show is funny. Mob could have everything but he refuses to use his psychic powers. The Body Improvement Clubs sure are bros for a guy who's barely been with them and we didn't see their bond fully developped on screen. Teru seems like Accelerator junior with Kirito's VA. They made the demon delinquent seem completely irrelevant in this episode. I guess Mob will take an L to Teru before smashing him with the 100%. |

The show is definitely getting better! The introduction of Teru is being handled very well, and the music in this episode is much more varied than in previous episodes (Teru in particular has a really nice theme). The style was effective too. It works better in action scenes than for comedic purposes imo, and generally the tone was a bit darker and more serious than before. Looking forward to the next episode! |

Seeing as how Mob isn't at 100%, I don't expect him to beat Teru, but hopefully that means they'll encounter each other again with Mob at 100%, since that would definitely mean Teru would get his ass kicked. |
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime. Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait. MAL has unfortunately become a brain dead extension of the worst and most moronic aspects of Twitter |

I don't think the percentage have anything to do with his level of strength though It's just the level of his emotional state |

From OP you can see Teruki speciality. Super saiyan hair no one stands chance vs him when he has long hair |

Amazing episode.I died when Reigen made the photo "exorcism" and with Shigeo's reaction when he saw the "love" letter.Dimple wants to manipulate Shigeo for his own evil plans and their interactions are hilarious.Teru is a beast he took down everyone in a instant and now we have a Shigeo vs Teru showdown.I don't think Shigeo stands a chance against him if he doesn't reach 100%.Can't wait for next week. |

xD I actually really like the muscle guys now, I'm much more interested in these characters then I ever thought I would have been. Really loving Mob Psycho, I want so bad for Mob to become cool and stuff but unfortunately it's starting to look like this will be one of those anime where the main character ultimately stays the same the whole way through. |

renanmil said: I don't think the percentage have anything to do with his level of strength though It's just the level of his emotional state No, it does. The strength of psychic power is linked with the strength of emotions, at least for Mob. That is precisely why he is repressing his emotions all the time: to keep his power under control. The stronger his emotions, the more powerful he gets. And the more powerful he gets, the more damage he can do. He is really afraid of that. |

LOL. i didn't watch JOJO but i have seen it a bit. is that deliquent guy is JOJO reference ? xD new character got introduced in this episode in a interesting way imo xD not to mention that VA. i think he's gonna nail it again this time after beteljuice(?) from rezero lol and that explotion rate tho xD from 28 into 45. i think that's a pretty high change. 17 up, that's pretty high imo. don't tell me he's gonna explode in the next episode xD well from character-wise of the new character i don't think he will provoke Mob like what a certain spirit did in the previous episode. but somehow i wish he will explode in the next episode xD Body Improvement Club, they are so badass xD i loved how bones made their character design. god damn badass imo xD looking foward to the next episode even tho it ended with a freaking cliffhanger!!! xD |

The reason it's a JoJo reference and not just a "typical delinquent" that you see in any anime is the fact that he punched super fast saying "ora ora ora" with the single "ora" punch to start things off just like Star Platinum does, the fact that he looks like Josuke is just an added bonus. Anyway, this episode has kind of solidified that I absolutely love this anime. Mob's character has been interesting as of the end of episode 2, I started to really like him in episode 3, and he just keeps getting cooler. The way that he goes against people's expectations in such a deadpan, matter-of-fact way is reminiscent of all of the reasons that I like Saitama as a character, only with Mob Psycho 100 the jokes don't get to fall back on amazingly choreographed fight scenes - meaning, they have to hold up on their own. And they do. I love the aesthetic of this anime but honestly it doesn't need to be as well-animated as it is, that's not as much of the point as it was in One Punch Man. I'm super pleased with this anime so far, I was anticipating that it wouldn't be as good as OPM but I actually think I'm starting to like it more. I can definitely see myself enjoying the rewatch of this anime more than when I rewatched OPM. |

ArtemisFlow said: Really doesn't matter to me. Plus I meant to say Look-alike, not reference since it wasn't a reference in the first place. The hairstyle will always remind me of something from Jojo since it's actually got popularity to it, unlike these no-name manga's.

Basically at the start where the guy looks just like Jojo. Unless the author did this on purpose with zero reference to the char lol. Yeah, sorry, but highschool delinquents with pompadours is far from a JoJo invention. Josuke might be one of the slightly more iconic characters to have the hairstyle, but dozens of delinquent manga prevent JoJo from coining that character concept. Young GTO isn't really a no name mangas. A really good and funny episode. Teru is finally there and the club showed they are true bro. |

My favourite episode so far. Dimple is pretty annoying, but also hilarious. The Body Improvement Club take their training seriously. Coming to rescue Mob was so awesome. What a bunch of great BROs. Love how Mob is just ready to leave while still being tied up. Teru is not someone to mess with. Those are some cool psychic abilities. Mob vs Teru. Cannot wait. |

Hats off to Bones because this has been pretty much the ideal adaptation, pretty much perfect. Anyways, this was probably the episode which made me laugh the most so far. Even the silly jokes were very effective thanks to the excellent presentation (and obviously the humour being good). Also, I very much liked the scenes involving Mob's brother, as he's pretty damn interesting. I was hoping the episode wouldn't end before the fight with Teru, but I guess we'll just have to wait for a week. |
5 main aspects I base my ratings on: 1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it? 2. Is it better than Breaking Bad? 3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it? 4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL? 5. Is it actually good? Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant... |
