Saikyou no Ousama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru?

Honestly? terrible anime. Low quality in animation, writing adaptation, (the anime's writing is terrible, but I'm told the manhwa is far better.) and seemingly very little effort on the animation studio's side. However, although it is a 4/10 for me, and it is kinda terrible, I do enjoy it. I think that's partially because I love this low quality, overused, milked try, and overinflated/overpopularized genre, and this copies and/or mirrors so many others in the genre that I can't bare to hate it. It's like the good parts of every trash tier anime.

I know it's trash, I know all the other animes I see ... in this one are trash, but it's my favorite parts of all of them. It's not a charming animation style, it's not even really "so bad it's good", it's just nostalgic. The same way that turkey burger is absolutely horrid tasting, but there is a certain appeal to it for me since I grew up on it because we couldn't afford beef. Same thing.

This anime is all the best parts of poverty lol. Still a 4/10, it's still poverty, but it's reminiscent of so many shows I've watched, I can't bare to hate it.

I'll finish it. I'll probably rewatch it in a few years. I kinda hope they make a season 2. It's still 4/10 tho.

Animation:
We all know, it's not up to standard. I personally don't care all that much, compare that to other series in the genre from a few years back and yeah it's alright. There are many scenes that do stick out and feel off still.
Audio:
Original Audio is great, sound effects are clean, high quality, crisp, and the levels are all good.
Dub however, is hit with the Crunchyroll Curse. They absolutely butchered it. Through and through. Sound effects are too quiet, its mostly mono, and some sound effects are just down right gone, like footsteps. So basically, typical Crunchyroll shit-dubs, which is to be expected, though disappointing ... in an age when more and more people opt instead to watch Dubbed due to international interest.
I highly suggest that if you can, enjoy this show in Subs, not Dubs. It ruins the experience otherwise.
Story:
Its nice, pacing is a little all over the place, but they try to work things slow-ish, opening an opportunity for more story development, though I'm sure some people don't enjoy that, I personally like a good show that "lets it simmer".

All in all, it's a show that COULD have been great, but it isn't. In my eye's, it's cursed. Poor animation quality, terrible dubbing, both really ruining the experience. If they ever make a new season, I really hope they can step up the game

If you are someone who just wants to fill up some time and love fantasy/isekai genre, TBATE aint for you. Its another budget version of mushoku tensei and is probably not gonna get a season 2 with all the critisim towards the animation quality which angered the existing manhwa fan base. Yes, its that bad, tons of still frames and subpar action sequence which made it hard to take this anime seriously. Even the OSTs are bland and invokes no emotion. The only bright spot was the palatabe story and characters but even that is at the bare minimum.

In hindsight, this anime was adapted ... by A-CAT. They have a dismal track record of making low budget slops and for them to butcher a series like TBATE is not unexpected. One might wonder how they even stay afloat. Thus, just avoid any anime made by this studio.
