All of the OVAs except "Ilse's Notebook" were not written by the author of the manga (Hajime Isayama) and "No Regrets" is the only spin-off to be directly referenced by the main series.

I excluded the recap movies and parody spinoffs to keep it simple and easy to understand.

2. they have to be good thrillers. They DON'T have to be good in every way possible. The thriller aspect is the only aspect that matters here.
