Megami Paradise

Mama Megami, the mother goddess and ruler of paradise is retiring. Her successor appoints a young mage named Lilith to be one of her guardians. Lilith's first assignment is to recruit two more worthy guardians for the new Mama Megami. Not an easy task, as Stashia, the first candidate on Lilith's short list is not interested. Lilith didn't even have a chance to ask the second person on the list, a warrior named Juliana due to a misunderstanding caused by Stashia's little sister Rurubell. Rurubell wants to be a guardian, but Lilith turned her down due to her very young age and lack of experience. Meanwhile, Paradise is under attack by an evil goddess who wants to dominate it, and it's up to Lilith, Stashia, Rurubell, and Juliana to thwart the attackers.

What if every single character in a heroic wizard battle fantasy was a smoking hot, scantily clad babe? This OVA is your answer and the answer is that it's totally rad. This is an hour of nearly nude women fighting each other with magic powers, this pretty much sums it up and if that doesn't instantly sound like a great way to spend an hour to you there's not really anything else you should expect from this. I'm of the opinion that it's a great way to spend an hour and I would watch a hundred more episodes of this had they been made.

The story ... is typical good versus evil, it doesn't really take itself very seriously. There are gags and some good comedy, there are yuri moments for those of you who get excited over that, there are a couple of stupid lolis who do cute things, and there's good wizard combat action. To watch this and not enjoy yourself, I'm not sure what you were thinking it was going to be. You definitely wouldn't appreciate fan service, that's for certain. Anybody who likes fan service will love this. There is a lot.

Mixed Feelings

Megami Paradise is exactly what it s itself to be- an ecchi comedy with magic and upskirts and monsters. There's really not that much more to it, and insofar as this is its mission, it certainly does what it sets out to do. Beginning with the story, it's a pretty simple affair with a magical kingdom and an evil sorcerer queen who wants to rule over it and destroy a magical stone that keeps evil at bay, while a scrappy group of girls in service to the Mamamega save the realm. The Mamamega, by the way, is the good queen, ... while the Yamimama is the evil one, which got a chuckle out of me every time I heard either title. There's not really much else to say about the story, other than that is does its job of justifying the anime's existence, with a fair dash of self-aware comedy as it does so.

The real star here is the art, which is obviously what the people behind this anime put all their effort into. The character designs are fun and appealing, the use of color is vibrant and interesting, and even the animation managed to impress. of course, all of this is in service of a pretty basic ecchi anime, but its technical quality must still be recognized regardless.

The sound meets all basic standards of quality, with the voice work standing out as lively and energetic.

The characters are also pretty good, meeting their basic roles as somewhat generic heroines meant to fill their niches in fun ways. Of them, Lilith and Rurubell are the strongest, Lilith because she actually feels like a fully realized character with agency in the story, and Rurubell as an interesting take on the cutesy magical girl trope. Overall, Megami paradise is something you really can just judge by its cover. Regardless of its relative technical quality, it really is just a simple ecchi anime at the end of the day, and while it's not gratuitous by any means, it is still self-aware of its identity as some good old lowbrow slop, and if that's your thing, this'll be right up your alley.

The best part about this was that it ended quickly and half of it was skippable.

TLDR: It was so bad i had to write my first review for this.

I love fan service shows. Very little plot or establishing story is fine if the it services the fans but this show doesn't even do that well. There is a sever lack of character variety which makes all the fan service the same thing in the end. With the shit writing, and short time to establish the characters its hard to get invested enough in one character to even enjoy the "plot". A couple of ... interesting ideas in the first part and only 1 good showing in the second amount to very little fan service. It was caught between a bad plot, and bad writing. This is where fan service thrives but even here this show couldn't deliver. All in all, DO NOT WATCH this show. The 10 min getting to the interesting content in this could be spent loading up an actually good anime, fan service or not

The pros are it has able old school animation. Pantie shots for days. Also youre pretty much whisked away to babe island with a bunch of hot babes. *spits out 3 green cumulons out of 10
