i thought this would be a very wholesome manga with a cute meet-cute premise but it turned out very differently, iyky. i enjoyed watching them grow up together though!

one of my favorite problematic couples in manga, and im ngl, 80% if the love i have for utsukushii kare stems from the live action, but the manga is nice too (the art is especially pretty!)

this is also a very atypical bl manga, it has crossdressing and prety problematic behavior from the mc's side, but i still like it for the melancholy and tragedy of it

showbiz romance with really really good art. i think it's quite real, the pace is relatively slow (but in a good way) and it has an underlying melancholy due to the characters' tragic backstory. deals with the characters' sexuality decently well!

the beginning gives off the vibe that it'll be a somewhat serious story, but it's just an unexpectedly really cute highschool romcom, the most 'idiots in love' kind of couple you'll see

salaryman x carpenter, it's so good and refreshing in the way that it's just a slow burn of two adults meeting, falling in love, and figuring out their feelings, no unnecessary drama whatsoever! nsfw.

this is actually the last book of the neko x neko series, but it's here bc it's my favorite part! the whole series is really cute and wholesome bc the basic premise of an established couple w an established role wanting to switch is interesting enough but the real hook is the sideplot with their job, ambitions, friends and family! they just feel like a very real couple :(

ps: they're a little dumb sometimes and don't communicate properly and there's also the horrible 'i'm not gay i just like you trope' but so be it, the good writing on other aspects balance it out for me!

although i ittedly enjoyed walk on water more than i did this, under the greenlight was still a great read. the mafia storyline is quite intriguing even if it did become a little predictable at some point. if anything it's worth to read for the bangin art. extremely nsfw and pretty toxic nonetheless.

a very domestic master x butler story set in the countryside. i don't usually like this kind of dyanmic but it was cute enough to be the exception. was lacking a bit of something to go from good to great.

fwb to lovers, you would think this is pwp but psyche! although it is obviously very nsfw, it's surprisingly cute and dramatic. the characters are both absolute assholes to women but ig their parents played a big part in that (kinda tragic backstory), so i count it as a win that they’re together bc they really don’t deserve women

the thing that stands out the most for this one is the 1950s Japan setting featuring a japanese waiter and american soldier, has a melancholic undertone (surprise, surprise)
