However, despite its strengths, the series feels like it’s missing something vital. The execution doesn’t quite live up to the potential of its premise. While enjoyable, Season 1 ultimately felt average, especially in light of the considerable hype surrounding the anime prior to its release.
If a second season is produced, I will likely give it a chance in the hopes that the series finds its footing. However, if it fails to improve or evolve meaningfully, I may choose to step away from it altogether. Sakamoto Days is not a bad anime by any means, but as of now, it remains simply okay in a season filled with more compelling offerings.
