Both are horror series that makes your skin crawl. :D awesome art style and amazing music.
Horror anime involving a group of students where many people die gruesomely (but the gore is much more extreme in Corpse Party than Higurashi). Some characters are driven insane and just about everyone acts unnaturally due to the extreme psychological pressures and fear at one point or another. They both have some supernatural elements.
Both of these are full of a lot of gore and involve high school students. Higurashi far sures all horror anime in my opinion, but this anime and Another are two of the most compatible to it. Corpse party is only 4 episodes long though and the story is no where near the level as Higurashi, but like I said, they are really similar in the gore area.
Both are extremely gory and are mainly based around horror and suspense. Corpse Party is actually more gory than Higurashi while Higurashi is a lot more complex in plot. Both anime have an evil force that is causing major trouble and both have the main characters trapped in the world in the which everything is happening.
If you're into a lot of blood and gore, and love a lot of mystery, both these series are for you. Higurashi has a lot more psychological mind games, and torture, and Corpse Party is very much 'torture porn.' In both series, just about every character dies at one point of another. A lingering mystery is, how did it come to this, and why is it continuing?
Well, both of them are based on video games. They are depressive, dark and really gory and violent. I love Higurashi and Corpse Party, they are interesting and different, that's what makes them special. I highly recommend both Higurashi and Corpse Party to all gore and mystery lovers.
A group of stundents are involved in something supernatural and gruesome deaths. Due to the situation, some of them try to kill each other although they were friends. Lots of gore and suspense.
Both have the eerie atmosphere, corpse party does a better job at gore probably because of the art difference.
The two anime have a central plot revolving around rumors of a curse. Both anime are extremely violent and I can never quite decide which is more so. Don't be fooled by Higurashi. This may look cute and innocent on the outside but stick with it and it will get SO dark. In a way I believe it's darker than Corpse Party as the events of that anime only really happened because of unknown outside forces.
If you loved Higurashi´s gore and torture then you will without any doubt satisfy your craving by watching corpse party tortured souls :P their similarities being: - Lots of gore and torture of young kids - Both scenarios are about being somewhat trapped and escape. - Lots to uncover of mysteries, why is this happening who is behind it - it is about FRIENDSHIP.... sinister laugh!
-Both shows are Gorey -Both shows are Horror/Mystery -Both shows involve psychopathic little girls. -Both shows somewhat involve school.
What makes both of these shows scary is that there's a heavy emphasis on not knowing what's going on. "Fear of the unknown" is our primal instinct and a very real thing, and watching the characters stumble through new and eerie environments while uncovering the hidden plot evokes that feeling really well. Both are equally gory.
if you like higurashi youll forsure like corpse party! corpse party being based on a game, and higurashi being based on a VN they have similar vibes adaption wise. they are both graphic/gory and have a haunting premise of a curse.
Group of children (teenagers) gets murdered in various gruesome ways.
The psychological & gore factors of Higurashi are tripled in Corpse Party.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
