They're both original shows by director Satou Junichi that feature a girl following the path to achieve her dream. In Princess Tutu, Ahiru wants to become a great ballet dancer; in Kaleido Star, Sora wants to become part of a Circus. Ahiru and Sora can be sloppy, but get serious when they need to and are always ready to give their all for a presentation.
