Both series feature supernatural battles against powerful enemies, strong character development, and themes of life, death, and redemption. They share similar tones, with a dark atmosphere, gruesome action, and visually captivating sequences, making them comparable in their appeal to fans of action-packed, emotional, and somewhat gritty shonen stories.
