Both anime has - an older guy slowly becoming protective and caring over a little girl - pure, innocent humour - a little girl making the daily life of an older guy more fun and interesting - slice of life and daily life genre
Both series involve a younger girl that becomes attached to a older male character who at first doesn't care to much for her but over time slowly starts to want to protect and do anything for her. Both series are very funny, they display the daily life of the characters living together. Both narrative's have Comedy, and slice of life genre elements.
The whole feeling of the show is the same. It has an older male gradually becoming attached to a young female (in a non romantic manner), it's comedy is quite similar and it's a slice of life about a young child making an adult's more interesting. If you liked Barakamon, there's a strong chance you'll like this.
The main character in both have the same seiyuu and they have a similar feel to them. Both have a guy who is tidy and seemingly cold but caring on the inside towards others, especially small children. ing characters in both series are also pretty fantastic.
