If you've finished HxH and have been looking for a shounen that uses logic instead of friendship to win battles, has a well thought-out battle system, with strategic fight sequences, and a lovable yet badass white-haired protagonist, World Trigger is the next stop for you. I was floored when I first came across this as a HxH fan and I'm sure you'll like it too. Mind the TOEI filler tho.
Both of these series have 'Humanoid' beings that are fought against. Beyond that there are a few similar characters and organizations. Yuuma and Killua are actually quite alike. If you liked one of them, it's not hard to like the other. They both come from violent backgrounds, and have bodies that would exceed human (And otherwise) norms because of the past they lived. The main characters from both series belong to an organization that fights (Generally) for the protection of others. They are both large, and prominent organizations that hold many similarities. Both of these series have four main characters, even if it doesn't always read more
Similar in style to the chimera ant arc.
If you liked Hunter x Hunter for it's power system Nen and it's strategic/interesting fights then World Trigger should be an enjoyable watch as well. It's power system is based on devices called 'Triggers' with set abilities and they are used in creative/interesting ways to fight in some amazing battles.
If you liked HxH for its structural but still incredibly creative magic, you'll love world trigger. On top of that, World Trigger's minor characters have that same feeling of depth that HxH's characters do
Other than World trigger I haven't found an anime that's similar to Hunter x Hunter in of the strategic and detailed planning of events- which is what I love most about hxh. Most other shounen are just fighting fighting and fighting. Whilst I love the fight scenes, I prefer anime with a goal that the characters fight for. I still prefer HxH more though hahahaha
Has a good story line, and lots of action so you will never get bored.
