Definitely get started on Nijiiro Days! It's one of my favorites, and an absolutely wholesome series.
Not going to lie, I definitely feel you on the childish feels, but the characters themselves 100% make up for it!
I think the only difference between mangas and manhuas is just the reading flow ~ you're definitely missing out on some great series if you restrict yourself because of unfamiliarity, so I say give it a go!

Having to spend some more time to find a good gift is nothing to apologize for though! It's good you know what you want~
And the long ones are definitely long for a reason haha - I hope it was pretty reasonable though. I did try to keep it around 100 or so - not too over the requirement.

Tamako Market is a double recommendation for me - one from you and the other recommendation is KyoAni. Kyoto Animation is absolutely great!

The German language is... difficult :D I like how it sounds when someone really knows the language, but I find my accent hard to listen to even when I try :D Especially the "R" sounds pretty hard to pronounce. I moved from Poland to , I use mostly English at work, but I want to learn Germanan.

Tamako Market reminds me a lot of K-ON! at first glance, I once tried to watch the first episode but I don't for what reason I stopped and never went back to it. Thanks for reminding me about this title.

Sakamichi no Apollon - I like musical anime, I really do. Especially if it meshes well with the SoL genre. Sakamichi no Apollon looks interesting and I it I never even paid attention to it before, though I've been watching anime since I can :D I can safely say that I'm very open-minded about anime, often experimenting with different titles until I hit on something nice.

I've unfortunately had little time to watch anything more ambitious lately, but I did start watching Mahoutsukai no Yome. I thought that the theme of magic was slowly starting to bore me, but I was very wrong. It's really good to watch! I first saw the prequel, three episodes, it was just OK/pleasant, but unfortunately a bit boring. Now that I've started the main series, I'm watching it really well.

Ye the plot in Issho ni Neyou yo is not the 'simpliest' so it gets confusing sometimes but it's still a good manga.

I enjoyed Shinigami x Doctor and it's given me a push to get started on Donten ni Warau soon as well (same mangaka). The art was really nice and the story was intriguing. Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai is next up on my read list and I'll give Sakura-hime Kaden a go after that :D But I wanted to ask you about Ga-Rei: would you recommend reading the manga first or watching the anime first?
