Personal stats: as of May 2025, I've finished 165 anime with a mean score of 7.32.
The Super Cube rating: 7/10.
The Super Cube is a solid Chinese anime with great potential. While it’s not very popular—possibly due to being a donghua—it’s still an enjoyable watch. The art style and fight choreography are impressive in several scenes, and the plot is interesting, though the pacing can feel slow at times. With only about 15 minutes of actual content per 20-minute episode, it sometimes feels like not much happens. That said, the pacing improves later on. I appreciated how the show stays focused—no unnecessary comedy or fanservice, just ... a serious storyline from start to finish. It’s a fun 12-episode binge, and I’d definitely like to see a second season to see where the story goes next.

Even though I’ve watched a fair number of anime, I only recently started writing reviews — mostly to capture and save the emotions I felt while watching. So it’s kind of funny that I already have to break my usual pattern. Normally, I start with some personal stats, then give a basic overview of the anime and what it meant to me. But this time, that doesn’t really work.
With Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, it makes more sense to talk about what it isn’t.
What this anime is NOT:
- Not something to watch when you're feeling down and looking for comfort or escape.
- Not ... something you can half-watch — it asks for your full attention.
- Not something you should binge in one or two sittings.
- Not a story that exists just to entertain. The plot is straightforward, but it mainly serves to explore deeper themes.
- Not full of idealized or instantly likeable characters. They’re realistic, flawed, and sometimes hard to love — which makes them more human.
What it IS:
Something closer to a philosophical book — a reflection on humanity and nature, faith and belief, truth and fiction, history and forgotten past.
One thing I can say: I’m not a fan of historical anime, but I still found this one fascinating. And even if you’re not religious, that’s okay — religion here is just one layer in a much bigger conversation.
What I can’t promise is that you’ll enjoy it, even if everything above sounds like your thing. Give it four episodes — if it clicks, you’ll know. After that, if you're watching just to get throught it, it's better to drop it.

Short Review – A Hidden Gem That Has It All.
Personal stats: As of May 2025, I’ve finished 161 anime with a mean score of 7.31.
Scissor Seven rating: 10/10.
I found Scissor Seven by chance — I saw a funny clip online and decided to check it out. At first, I thought it was just a comedy, but I was really surprised by how much more it offers.
The comedy is top-notch, but the story gets serious and emotional too, especially as the seasons go on. There’s great action, touching moments, and characters that actually stick with you.
The animation uses a unique “shadowless” style, and it looks amazing. ... The fights are creative and fun, the music is incredible, and the opening videos are some of the best I’ve seen.
It’s a Chinese anime, so it doesn’t get as much attention as others — but it really deserves more. And if you’re not used to Chinese dubs, don’t worry — there are English and Japanese dubs too.
Scissor Seven mixes comedy, action, and emotion in a way that feels fresh and special. It caught me off guard in the best way. If you're looking for something cool, funny, and surprisingly deep — give this one a try.

Short Review - A Cozy Watch with a Slice of Comfort.
Personal stats: as of May 2025, I've
finished 161 animes with a mean score of 7.31.
Recovery of an MMO Junkie rating: 7/10.
Recovery of an MMO Junkie is a wholesome, feel-good anime that quietly heals you. It's a mix of light romance, slice-of-life and gaming, told through the eyes of a female lead who’s dealing with everyday awkwardness and emotional burnout in her own way.
The romance is soft and ive, which makes it feel surprisingly real and comforting. The show also includes funny and slightly embarrassing moments from the main character’s life — especially relatable for ... women, though it’s just as enjoyable for male viewers thanks to the charming ing cast.
It’s not the most complex story, but it doesn’t try to be. Instead, it gives you a warm, cozy escape and a reminder that it’s okay to take a step back in life and just breathe. It’s short, easy to binge, and while there’s no second season due to the author’s health, it still felt like a worthwhile watch.

Personal stats: as of May 2025, I've finished 161 animes with a mean score of 7.31.
ReLIFE rating: 10/10.
ReLIFE is one of those anime that looks light and fun on the outside, but deep down, it deals with serious and emotional topics. It’s not very hard to watch, but the feelings it gives you can be very strong — especially if you’ve been through similar struggles in life.
Even though most of the story takes place in a high school, this anime isn’t really about school life. The main character is actually 28 years old — someone who feels lost in adult life and is given a ... chance to “start over” by going back to high school for one year (you'll see this in first minutes of episode 1). The school setting is just a way to reflect on bigger things: regret, confidence, social pressure, failure, and how our past shapes the kind of adults we become.
The emotions in ReLIFE feel real. It’s not overly dramatic, but if you connect with the characters, some scenes can make you cry or stop and really think about your own life. It’s one of those shows that quietly stays with you.
I first tried to watch ReLIFE when I was 18, but I couldn’t finish it. I think deep down, I saw myself going in the same direction as the older characters, and I wasn’t ready to face that. Years later, at 25, I gave it another try — and I watched the whole thing in one go. It hit me hard because I was already dealing with many of the same things: stress, doubts, and feeling lost in adult life.
This anime hits differently depending on your age. The older you are, the more you might relate to it. But if you're young and manage to finish it, it might help you see life in a better way and avoid some mistakes. I really wish I had finished it when I was younger, but even now, it left a strong impact on me. It’s a great anime for anyone who feels confused or stuck in life.
And don’t forget: after you finish the main season, make sure to also watch the 4 special episodes — that’s where the ending of the story is.

Personal stats: as of May 2025, I've finished 161 animes with a mean score of 7.31.
Welcome To The NHK rating: 10/10.
There aren’t many anime that explore deep psychological and real-life struggles in a way that feels truly raw and honest. Welcome to the NHK does exactly that — and it does so through broken, flawed, but very real characters, each with their own story and pain.
NHK is for everyone going through a tough stage in life — regardless of age — feeling stuck or unable to make sense of things. If it hits you at the right time, it stays with you forever. My advice: ... if you, the reader, are someone like that, try to stick with it to the end, however hard it might be.
At its core, the anime follows a hikikomori — someone who has completely withdrawn from society — and deals with the paranoia and loneliness that come with that isolation. While most viewers might not be as deeply affected as the protagonist, the show forces you to ask tough questions: What if I stopped trying? What if I gave up on the outside world? It’s a confronting experience, and it holds up even now, nearly two decades after its release.
Despite airing back in 2006, the themes of Welcome to the NHK are still incredibly relevant. Depression, isolation, social pressure — these aren’t issues that go out of style. The story is slow-burning, but that’s part of what makes it so powerful. Unlike other anime where characters grow through big, dramatic leaps, this one progresses in small, realistic steps. And somehow, that makes it hit even harder.
What’s also surprising is that even with such heavy subject matter, the show still includes moments of comedy and even a bit of fan service. But these lighter elements never take away from the gravity of the message. In fact, they often make the darker moments stand out even more.
I’ll be honest — this anime is not easy to finish. It took me three tries. The first time, I got through 6–8 episodes and dropped it. Came back months later and almost reached the end, but again, I couldn’t push through. Only years later, at age 25, did I finally binge the whole thing in two days. And I’m glad I did. I genuinely believe watching it earlier might have changed the way I saw certain things in life.
Welcome to the NHK is not an easy watch. But it’s one of those rare shows that manages to be raw, thought-provoking, and genuinely life-changing — if you let it.

Review: Terror in Resonance.
Rating: 6/10.
Terror in Resonance was a bit of a letdown. I had heard a lot of praise for it, and it had been on my watchlist for a while. When Lazarus — another terrorism-themed anime — came out, I decided to finally check this one out.
The pacing started slow, which I already knew beforehand, but what really bothered me is that it never picked up. The story stays at a steady pace throughout, never quite reaching the emotional or narrative highs I expected. The main characters were interesting ... at first, but as the show went on, their mystery faded and they became less engaging. The intrigue around them was the most interesting part, and once that’s gone, so is their appeal.
The side characters were also underwhelming. Their actions often didn’t make sense, and their stories were easy to predict. The show set up a lot of interesting ideas, but they didn’t really come together in a satisfying way. It felt like a lot was left unexplored, and with only 11 episodes, one more episode could’ve added some much-needed depth to the side characters and their backstories.
On the plus side, the music is fantastic. The soundtrack really sets the mood and enhances the atmosphere. The visual style is sleek and helps to create a strong, immersive feeling.
In the end, Terror in Resonance is still a good anime with a unique premise, but it didn’t quite live up to its potential. It’s short and easy to follow, but it feels like it doesn’t explore its ideas as deeply as it could’ve.

Review: Skip and Loafer – A Wholesome Slice of Life That Heals the Soul.
Personal Stats:
As of May 2025, I’ve completed 159 anime with a mean score of 7.32.
After binge-watching a couple of heavy, depressing anime, I was craving something light and uplifting, and Skip and Loafer was the perfect recommendation I was given. I’m really glad I gave it a shot.
It is a charming and heartwarming anime, with a focus on personal growth and the joys of everyday life. The characters are cute, a little clumsy, and very relatable, making it easy to get attached to them. While it doesn’t offer ... anything groundbreaking, the experience is genuinely enjoyable and comforting.
There might be some deeper meaning behind the story, but honestly, you can just watch it laid-back and enjoy it for what it is. You don’t need to focus on complex themes or try to find hidden messages. It’s the perfect anime to unwind and just enjoy the journey without overthinking.
One thing to keep in mind: some platforms label it as a romantic comedy. While there are moments of potential romance, the first season is more about character interactions and life transitions. If you’re expecting a romance-focused story, you might be slightly disappointed, but it’s still a great watch for anyone looking for a wholesome, feel-good series.
In short, Skip and Loafer is a delightful slice-of-life anime that brings joy without diving too deep into heavy themes. It’s perfect for a feel-good watch when you just want to relax and enjoy something cute and light.

Short Review: Beastars – A Weird Fever Dream I Couldn’t Look Away From.
Personal Stats:
As of May 2025, I’ve completed 159 anime with a mean score of 7.32.
Beastars rating:4/10.
I gave Beastars a 4/10. Honestly, it didn’t seem that bad at first. The animation was strange, the concept was even stranger, but it gave off just enough intrigue to make you hope it would turn into something great. You want the romance to work out, the characters to grow, and the main character to become some kind of badass.
But that never really happens.
A lot of scenes felt gross - some even made me want to puke. The ... tone was all over the place, and while it clearly tries to be deep, it ends up feeling more like a weird fever dream. I still don’t understand why it’s rated so highly - maybe because it’s one of the few anime fully centered on (furry) animals?
Weirdly enough, though, it does make you want to keep watching. I don’t know how, but I finished Season 1 almost by accident. I originally got interested after seeing a clip from Season 2, and part of me still wonders if it gets better. But as far as Season 1 goes: nada. Just strange vibes and confusing emotions.
Maybe that strange compulsion to finish it is a sign it did something right... or maybe it’s just furry mind control. Who knows.

Personal Stats:
As of May 2025, I’ve completed 159 anime with a mean score of 7.32.
Sonny Boy rating: 4/10.
Sonny Boy is one of those anime that aims to be deep, symbolic, and mysterious - but for me, it completely missed the mark. I gave it a 4/10, and honestly, I feel like I was being generous.
It falls into the "weird anime" category, but this one is the bad kind of weird. Nothing really connects. The plot is all over the place, the world-building is vague at best, and worst of all, it never tries to explain itself in a satisfying way. Each episode feels like it's ... trying to say something profound, especially about adolescence and the transition from the "closed space" of school into the unknown world beyond - but it never lands.
The characters don’t help either. Their designs are so flat and similar that I sometimes couldn’t even tell who was who. And even when I could, most of them either lost their purpose or started acting in ways that made no sense. It felt like the show wanted me to interpret every scene like a metaphor, but gave me nothing to work with. You can find people online pointing out symbolic parallels, but even then, it just doesn't feel meaningful - it feels forced.
What’s most frustrating is that Sonny Boy had potential. The first few episodes were intriguing and gave the sense that something bigger and smarter was coming. But halfway through, it just unraveled. I stuck with it mostly because I was hoping it would get better - and also because I already have too many dropped anime. Thankfully, it’s short, so finishing it wasn’t too painful.
Overall, Sonny Boy tried to be something special but ended up feeling empty and frustrating. I respect creative risks, but in this case, the execution just didn’t work.
