Animu + mango enthusiast with a divergent interest (> ^_^)>, addicted to romance/melodrama (shoujo & seinen) on one hand, hooked on political/military drama on the other; not much interest on action, bit picky on atmosphere/mood pacing, dislikes fanservice and hates shows pretending to be deep and characters without rationale (=_= ). Lu Bu is definately 10x times more awesome in this interpretation, then any other animated interpretation. Since he is given not on Charisma, Intelligence that matches the famed Military tacticians. But also retains his legendary prowess in strength.
Also in this interpretation Lu Bu Felt more human. Especially after the scene were he gets ambushed on his way to deliver his daughter.
I haven't read any more for a long time, I'm on chapter 6. It is getting more interesting now, its just that school has been kicking my butt. I find watching anime more relaxing these days compared to reading.
So far I find the setting of your novel to be quite interesting, and I am eager to read more about it. I have many many questions about the "state of the world" in your novel. Are humans living with aliens in a Man-In-Black like fashion since the Empyrean encounter? What is the state of the world, who are happy and who are unhappy? Why are there rebellions? I find the history of this world quite difficult to follow. Thus it is hard for the action/conflicts in chapter 1-3 to interest me; as I don't know enough about the world to feel the significance of these events.
Taking something from your latest blog entry, I think your novel just might be sci fi x fantasy x alternate history. This is definitely something new for me. The early chapters left me with a lot of questions, hopefully they will be resolved in a satisfying way.
