Oh, absolutely. It's a short watch; you only need to watch the first season by Gainax, and the rest is entirely up to you tbh. It can be confusing at times though It's so whimsical and without a doubt one of the best coming-of-age stories. There's much more to it but yeah I would say it's worth the watch!
