Then how are they showing episodes 1-8 and a talk session in 1.5 hours? Perhaps just highlights. I guess we'll know something after the pre-airing.

The Fujisan arc is really, really good. I am SO looking forward to it! And the next ones, and the next... honestly as always I just hope they get to animate all of it properly. At least up to the end of book 5 but really I hope can can do it all and with 2 cour I think the should be able to. It isn't all just climbing and equipment either, there is some really good character development later in the series. Season one was really just an introduction.

The mangaka has been writing 2-4 chapters/month since season one trying to put together enough material. Should be 54 chapters total, maybe more by the time the anime starts.

MAL is full of party poopers, people who know nothing about anything saying they won't watch stuff. Ah well, their loss!
