Don't base your impression of the manga on the first chapter; the story changes drastically after that - in a good way.

The relationship between the two main characters is engaging and fun, and the use of fantasy in the story is very refreshing. I love the very frank writing the author uses in a lot of their works, and I think it really comes out in the demons' dialogue (in this story and the sequel.) Funny and thoroughly entertaining, I'd especially recommend if you're a fan of the author's other works.

A very enjoyable read, don't let the first chapter put you off.

I'd typically hesitate to take anything in this genre seriously; mostly they exist so you can laugh at yaoi arms or wonder why the artists only ever draw like one and a half positions. Or scratch your head at those crazy censor bars. But somehow this one slipped through the cracks (no pun intended).

Okay, so you're shaking your head and pointing out that Endo "goes both ways", is "strictly a top", and that no one needs to ask where Rikiya fits into that equation. But they've been more than just "dominant" and "submissive", plus the addition of Goro and Verde (whose relationship ... is—dare I say it—adorable), along with Mark and Endo's brothers, suggests development and expansion of both characters and their world(s); so far the series seems more focused on building up the story than satiating readers with a "happy ending."

And while I'm already into the story, the art is an added bonus. Something about it reminds me of CLAMP sans the insane details. The cover art, and especially the font (don't judge me!) are actually what drew me to the series. Also, Verde is drawn so wonderfully androgynous that I was actually clueless about [its] gender for a while.

Yamamoto better not shut this down after like one more volume because it's a solid series with plenty of room to grow. It's the ONLY yaoi series I've ever read that would benefit from longevity. She better not just phone it in and make me drop this down to a five. I'd really hate to lose a series with a unique marriage system that reflects the real-world push for same-sex marriage.

Again, I would never pick out a yaoi series expecting anything beyond the (unintentionally) hilarious standard, but I hope this one sticks around long enough to bring in more than just a niche audience.

The manga starts with protagonist being date raped and accidentally summons a demon for help. That was certainly some unexpected development and despite being kinda weird, it’s thanks to this unusual setting that the manga kept my attention for the first few chapters.

However, the manga quickly stop being surprising beyond the initial shock and devolves into somewhat regular character interactions ranging from mildly amusing to boring, coming closer and closer to an average BL scenario. Thankfully the manga picks up the pace again and shifts into demon realm for some inter-demon conflicts. As much as I personally did not enjoy the portion much as I ... couldn’t get myself to really care about the plot at this point, it stills increase the overall interestingness of the story

For a BL manga, this one is above average. Getting over how even demons are somehow gay and how the protagonist managed pull a big name one despite being a complete accident, the manga actually takes some time to develop the characters at least a bit and, even through it does end the expected way, it doesn’t shift to physical fanservice right after few pages of character, which is a nice change of pace.

Outside of BL genre though, this is nothing outstanding. So don’t have any expectations if you’re reading this for any other reason than this being a BL.
