Synopsis

As a relatively unknown minor deity without any worshippers, Delivery God Yato takes on odd jobs for only five yen, with the goal of amassing a fortune large enough to buy himself a shrine. But in addition to obscurity, he has another problem: his Shinki, or weapon partner, has decided to resign, tired of being with a homeless god. Left with no weapon, Yato takes on more jobs, hoping to find a new partner soon.

While out putting up fliers for a missing cat, Yato sees said cat and chases after him, right into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Hiyori Iki, a nearby girl, rushes to push Yato out of the way and ends up hurting herself. After waking up in the hospital, she discovers the incident has knocked her soul loose from her body. Realizing his actions caused this, Yato promises to help return Hiyori to normal—for five yen of course. But in order to return her to normal, he requires a new Shinki, which he finds in the rebellious spirit Yukine.

Noragami tells the story of a girl walking the line between two worlds and a stray deity's quest for a place to call his own.

Noragami was published in English as Noragami: Stray God by Kodansha USA from September 2, 2014, to December 10, 2024. The series was also simulpub through K Manga. It was also published in Brazilian Portuguese by Panini Comics from July 2016 to August 23, 2024; in Polish by Studio JG since October 26, 2015, to March 21, 2025; in Spanish by Norma Editorial since October 29, 2015; and in Russian by XL Media since July 22, 2016.

Well, this is the end of one of my favorite mangas... what should I say?
If you give it a chance you may got yourself into a story about:
- A charismatic, funny and eloquent "calamity" god in sweatpants who gave his best to be ed by people and protect what he loved the most.
- An energetic, empathic and perceptive girl whose life completely changed the day she "saved" a sweatpants guy.
- A youthful, kinda rebel but good boy spirit whose personal development was stunning.

ending was ass.

Started this in middle school and now I'm in college and I loved this series until the last maybe five or four chapters.
It really felt like lost potential. Noragami was sooo much fun, art was beautiful, and the story was so different. Problems were complex and made you wonder how everything was going to get solved. Now I'm thinking the author themselves didn't know how to solve them. Characters were all interesting, full of personality, and lovable. this manga has rated PG-13 but believe me this is A TOTAL massacre manga. After starting with slow this is going to kill each and every character.

As disgusting as it is , the MC is shown OVERPOWERED power-freak who doesn't have his mind on the right place and goes massacre without a thought. he is a puppet. I mean each and every character doesn't stand a chance against the MC whether it's someone with higher power or whatever. and the gaudy character of the MC who doesn't respect a single person and call them "bitch" is unacceptable for a "god" character.
