This one is a continuation of the special booklet extra that came with the movie for Dokyuusei (you can read it at iluvtranslates.tumblr.com)

Ok, if you find my review for Dokyuusei you will notice that I don't really find that story all that good.

BUT, we all LOVE a good BL marrying story, right? This special is a banquet.

In this extra we will find the couple from Dokyuusei, years latter, in diferent places in Japan, looking for a ring for each other. They both want something meaningful for the other party, both looking forward to take the next step in their relationship as it gets closer to ... it's 20th anniversary (wah?! I guess the TL for the special booklet got it kind of wrong, but I've yet to read the other manga of this serialization).
The motives for the rings and the other party's perspective on the protagonist's relationship are very cute. I got all fuzzy and warm inside.

Two chapters that add up to total of 16 pages. Technically a volume since that’s how it was released, but don’t expect the size of a regular manga volume.

Story 1:
Sajou choses which ring to buy with his girl friend (not girlfriend). Or rather, the girl chooses the ring. The process goes like “Which ring will you choose?” “Dunno.” “What do you mean dunno, don’t you know what your bf likes?” “Okay then this one, it’s gold and my bf has gold hair, what a coincidence.”

Wow, what a thoughtful process, really shows the depth of the relationship and how they care about each other. Totally ... doesn’t just once again show how shallowly the relationship is written and how these characters aren’t portrayed as actual realistic people with interests outside of their love.

Story 2:
Kusakabe asks a jewelry store clerk about pair of rings. She assumes he’s looking for a set of rings for man and a woman, which is perfectly reasonable assumption to make as that is the majority of customers for such product. Rather than to simply correct the clerk, making the process of choosing the ring simpler and more accurate, Kusakabe smirkingly corrects her only near the end of the chapter. I guess the point of the chapter is for the fanbase to also smirkingly go like “Haha hoho, she thinks he’s buying a ring for a girlfriend but he’s actually gay, looool”? Dunno.

It’s not really interesting, but it’s also not noticeably bad. Just an average forgettable extra story. Not much more to say about it, as at this point the review has almost more words than the actual manga
