When the sky turns red, the moon turns black, and monsters begin roaming the streets, Satsuki Kakeru is at a loss for what to do. Along with his best friend Yuka, they try to decipher why they have been sent to this strange world, which is seemingly empty aside from themselves.

However, when the "Red Night" ends, Kakeru and Yuka believe it was all a dream—until it happens again, and they are left in a dangerous situation. They meet four others in the same predicament: Kusakabe Misuzu, an expert swordswoman; Tachibana Kukuri, a strange mute girl who looks uncannily like Kakeru's deceased sister; Hirohara Yukiko, a lively young girl whose personality reverts to that of a cold killer when her glasses are removed; and Tajima Takahisa, a young pyrokineticist.

As the six of them band together to survive and discover what this mysterious world is, things take a turn for the worse as six shadows appear before them...

Under Rated.
Oh there is a minimum work count that's fine. I went into the show blind without seeing the ratings. Finished watching in 2 days and wow it was fantastic. Though to be clear, I love shows that are able to surprise me but still make sense. This one does, again and again. I also love a fast paced show. In a world full of predictable cookie cutter anime, this is a gem. The fact it appeared to be another generic anime before turning into a real show was just one of the twists.

I decided to give it a 10. ... Logged in to see it averaged 6... that's odd. Did I get the right show? yep, 11 eyes...6/10. Wow that's a big gap. Not sure what happened there. I reconsidered my 10 but have to stand by it for emotional impact over the last few episodes. 6/10 is in the trash category and this was great. I thought it would have averaged at least an 8. Perhaps it got some bad ratings after the first 2 episodes and that gained momentum?

If you liked Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica you will like this. If you haven't seen Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica go watch that first as a test. If you don't like it you can probably skip this one too. Dark plot heavy world destroying anime may not be your thing.

Mixed Feelings

11eyes is an anime that some people might like, some people will hate. It is based on a novel, and for those who are familiar with it, they know that in the games there are N possible routes and N possible endings.

The anime starts by presenting a mystery, it develops well, but as the episodes get closer to the end, around episode 8, everything is rushed, poorly explained and probably leaves out a lot of vital information that was only in the game. This is because it was probably already certain that there would be no more seasons and they needed to wrap up the ... story quickly.

Because of this, many of the characters in the group do not get the development they deserve, and we have no connection with them.

11eyes looks really awesome! The drawings and animations are super smooth, especially during the exciting fight scenes. The colors are super cool, especially when the characters are in a creepy, different world. The places and backgrounds are spooky and mysterious, which makes the show look really interesting. If you like shows that look nice, this one will grab your attention, but sadly, that’s about all it has going for it.

Sound: 2/2
The music and sounds in 11eyes are also really great! The music fits the dark, creepy vibe of the show, with spooky tunes that make you feel nervous when something important happens. The ... beginning and ending songs are catchy, and the voices of the characters match the scary feeling of the show. Even though the characters themselves aren’t that interesting, the people doing their voices do a good job.

Here’s where the show starts to fall apart. The characters are really boring and don’t change or grow throughout the story. The main guy, Kakeru, isn’t very interesting, and his backstory doesn’t make him any better. He doesn’t seem to really connect with the other characters, and they all seem like characters you’ve seen before in other anime. The show doesn’t give us much reason to care about them or their stories.

Plot: 0/2
The story is the worst part. At first, it seems mysterious and cool, but after a while, it becomes really confusing and hard to follow. There are a lot of surprises and twists, but they don’t make much sense and aren’t explained very well. The show sometimes moves too slowly and other times too fast, which makes the whole story feel all over the place. By the end, when there’s a big surprise, it doesn’t feel satisfying – it just feels like a bunch of ideas that don’t fit together well.

Conclusion:
11eyes is really good when it comes to how it looks and sounds, creating a spooky and dark world. But the boring characters and confusing story make it hard to really enjoy. Overall, it gets a 4/10 because even though it looks cool, it just doesn’t have a good story to go along with it.
