It's so adorable that it purifies your soul just by looking at it — I don't know why, but you're already smiling the moment you start watching. Koupen-chan is that kind of anime that doesn't need long episodes or complex plots; even though each episode only lasts about a minute, it's more than enough to fill your heart with peace, warmth, and joy. Just hearing Koupen-chan’s soft voice and the calm, gentle background music instantly brightens your mood. It’s like getting a warm hug after a long, tiring day. I love the little penguins, especially Koupen-chan, who always encourages you for the smallest achievements. It's ... simply healing and heartwarming.

Short animated clips following a motivational penguin, the story follows them through short daily scenarios. Content is clearly intended towards children and the format resembles something meant to be watched between shows airing, almost like an instragram reel. Nonetheless very cute and enjoyable, animation is precious since it's a mix of watercolor and traditional animation techniques, so I doubt anyone will regret spending 10 minutes with this, which is what I've spent watching it so far. Not much to think about, a palate cleanser. On a positive note, this could be used to practice japanese if you are a beginner since vocabulary is basic and ... easy to follow.
