While watching the latest episode, I had a moment where I thought, “This anime could actually be great if it committed to pushing the story forward.” But then I asked myself—is it even trying to be a story-driven anime? Maybe it’s meant to be a comedy? I checked the genres... and surprisingly, comedy isn’t even listed.

That’s part of the problem: the anime doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. It’s isekai, but the main character doesn’t do much with his supposed knowledge from a previous life. It teases mecha elements, but there’s not much focus there either. The harem aspect? Practically nonexistent. And ... while the setting is technically in space, it barely uses that backdrop in any meaningful way. Action? Fantasy? Kind of, but again, only on the surface.

Ultimately, this anime feels like it’s trying to be everything at once and ends up being not much of anything. It’s the kind of show you can throw on in the background, and while the art style isn't bad, the lack of clear direction makes it hard to stay invested. Instead of doing a few things well, it tries to do ten things and ends up mediocre across the board.

so far the story is quite good, it's just that one thing that bothers me a bit is the Voice Actor/Seiyuu of the MC himself, I don't really like his voice, the MC seems like a loser. so it's a bit strange to hear the MC's voice, it doesn't really suit me... apart from that the story is quite interesting, although it's a bit messy and confusing about the concept of time and the universe. I'm used to watching isekai anime with a medieval setting, but this anime uses a sci-fi world setting of outer space and magic, it's a bit confusing to follow the ... story. in my opinion Otome Game Sekai Mob is better when it comes to sci-fi, because the story is light and easy to follow. yeah that's it, so far I quite recommend it, but because of the seiyuu thing I'll only give it a score of 6.

Disclaimer: I did not read the sauce (just like you) + The 7/10 is for fantasy/sci-fi action comedy, as this genre has pretty low bar...
At first I was really put off by the "I let everyone fck me over in my prev life so now imma be and a-hole bastard to everyone" premise, but thankfully its not really much more than just that, a premise...so far the MC is acting pretty normal (considering hes been cucked to death, is like 50yo and theres bunch of pretty ladies with HUGE plot around him).
The comedy is actually pretty good, action is decent and Reina Ueda as ... sexy maid droid makes my ears very, very red.
TL:DR one of the better comedies this season, def give it a try if you want some easy fun lewd action comedy

I was, by a hair’s breadth, very nearly abandoning it at the very beginning, that is, in the very first episode, which seemed determined to conspire against my patience and good sense. They wished, and indeed succeeded, in filling me with indignation in every possible way at the protagonist’s tribulations.

However, from the second episode onward, the plot began to unfold. A new reality was set forth, a new world, where the hero, almost a demiurge of himself, begins to craft not only oppression but also order, albeit through unorthodox means. He seeks, indeed, to rise above others, as a dark lord might. And yet, to ... my surprise, there lies within him a spark of good intent, a certain care for his people, for his planet, even though he has yet to truly know them.

The animation, that element which so often provokes my dismay, is, I must confess, quite respectable. I am, by nature, exacting when it comes to robots and their myriad graphical artifices, for oftentimes, in the name of a futuristic aesthetic, good taste is trampled upon. Happily, that was not the case here. The linework remains sober, the movement measured, and my eyes, wearied by so much ill-intentioned CGI, were grateful not to suffer once more.

I have thus far watched the first three episodes. I shall persist for a few more, for I wish to see whether this protagonist will truly develop, or whether he will simply circle about, accomplishing nothing. If you seek a space-themed anime, with its robots and a protagonist who desires to be a dark lord yet carries good intentions in the inner pocket of his coat, then, by all means, do not hesitate. Watch it for yourself and judge.

Estive, por pouco, muito pouco, a abandoná-lo em seu início, isto é, no primeiro episódio mesmo, que mais parecia conspirar contra minha paciência e bom senso. Queriam, e assim conseguiram, que eu me enchesse de indignação de toda forma possível, ante as provações do protagonista.

Entretanto, a partir do segundo episódio, a trama se desdobrou. Foi posta uma nova realidade, um novo mundo, onde o herói, quase um demiurgo de si, começa a arquitetar não somente opressão, mas também a ordem, ainda que por vias pouco ortodoxas. Deseja sobrepor-se, sim, aos demais, como faria um lorde maligno. Mas há nele, que surpresa, uma fagulha de boa intenção, um zelo por seu povo, por seu planeta, mesmo que ainda não os conhecesse.

A animação, essa parte que costuma me provocar arrepios muitas vezes, encontra-se em boa conta. Sou, confesso, de natureza exigente com robôs e suas mil artimanhas gráficas na hora de animar, pois, muitas vezes, em nome da estética futurista, atropela-se o bom gosto. Felizmente, não foi este o caso. O traço mantém-se sóbrio, o movimento comedido, e os meus olhos, já fatigados de tanto CGI mal-intencionado, agradeceram por este não ser mais um desses casos.

Assisti, até o momento, aos três primeiros episódios. Persistirei por mais alguns, pois quero ver se este protagonista se desenvolverá de fato ou se ficará a girar, sem nada cumprir. Se procuras um anime espacial, com seus robôs e um protagonista que deseja ser um lorde do mal, mas traz no bolso interno da roupa boas intenções, ora, não te acanhes. Vê por ti mesmo e julga.

Slow to start but I expect it to be quite a bit of fun to watch. Ep3&4 is the real starter here. I watched the manga recap way before this came out so I know the plot and I enjoyed it.
The anime had to cut much of the prologue and that's understandable given the set amount of episodes this probably got for a seasonal anime.

To whom I recommend this for...well if you'd like to relax or just watch a kind of interesting world with better than average plot, liked The Eminence in Shadow kind of dumb fun, this is for you. If you are ... some kind of "anime connoisseur" then just walk away because you won't find that kind of satisfaction in this that you looking for.

So its kinda weird, but I never expected that I will be into like some kinda of weird fantasy starwars anime with all of this planets and etc. But hear me out.
First episode is kinda a rollercoaster and I was questioning myself why im even watching it? But still after that introduce with cgi and things, I think it might be easly my anime of the season.

Plot: 8/10
So simply we got a hard working man who was too kind to see that his wife is really corrupted and the story goes on after his reincarnation, it involves spicy topics like AI and all of that ... AI stuff to not make humans suffer (and not to be replaced by it etc.). I find it really refreshing with that and kinda relatable just with the MC goals just to live a happy life, other then that Its really interesting how hard his life situations are, like he need to fix lots of things first to accomplish his goals.

Animation: 7/10
Its kinda great but ye I understand that CGI elements might be a bit of a push off for some people. But anyways I find it really enjoyable, and what is kinda important that this CGI is only used in some crazy scenes with spaceships and things where is really hard to animate, other then that I really enjoy the animation.

Characters: 9/10
So ye, characters are really good in this show. Like we have MC that transformed his viewpoint on the world after the betrayal, we have cast of AI character that the MC can only trust in this new world and also because he cant trust people due to his previous life, and we have some great antagonist that is kinda neutral but have malicious intentions to watch MC suffer. To the rest of the characters hmm, you will see but they are at least interesting.

Sound: 8/10
About the enviromental sounds and the background, its hard to tell but I dont that it was a problem here. I will write more about the VA, aspecialy the maid voice, Its really emotionless like I would imagine AI to be. Simply I dont find any problems in the sounds, just enjoyable overall in my opinion.

Enjoyment: 9/10
After 3 episodes im really into this anime, as I mentioned before, it might be my anime of the season. I really like the tranformation of MCs from being just the good guy to his change of attitude to just live happily life no matter the cost.

Thats almost all from me, im looking forward for newer episodes. Its only 3 episodes but I think its harsh to just judge the book by its cover, and in my personal opinion it deserve some more attention. What I can add on the end is that I realized this story is written by same autor for Otome Game Sekai that I really enjoyed too, so ye it looks like he can write perfectly for my taste :]

The story is very good ; and feels refreshing from the generic similar story ; I like the influence and reverse story turn-over from the negative dude to positive side ; if you are not looking for anything specific and just a good Isekai story.
The story - feels immersive and good for watcher ; take the story at face value ; for what it is ; not for your 10+ million experienced similar Isekai story ; you can say the same for any genre that have exhausted the formula for years.
Audio - voice acting feels a bit forced ; too much exaggerated voice acting ... in some respective cases ; that ruins the immersion for the watcher I feel ; sometimes a bit less is more immersive and better then too much over-forced acting.
The world development and characters are great ; really gives you a big picture of the whole world and story ; as well as the character development and interaction.
I would prefer a more detailed MC growth expanded story where expanded on the character development not skipped time for that with results showcase.
The plot and story wants to develop in a more mature plot ; but it goes back to being afraid of showing to much mature action and turns into a 12+ years Rated anime ;

An isekai where the MC is trying to be evil but ends up being benevolent by accident. It's pretty funny but very juvenile. Lots of boob jokes and the female characters are either evil bitches or sexy and talented but subservient to the MC.

I liked it because some of the humour is offbeat and the plot is interesting.

Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? Not as predictable as I thought. At the higher level, you know he's going to level up, but in each episode, interesting twists keep happening that surprised me in a ... good way.

Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Honestly the art isn't that great. The 3D stuff is not that well lit so it just doesn't have a sense of scale. It's bombastic and silly which suites the story.

Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid? No, the characters are super simple but in some ways that's what makes it funny.

Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way? No, the characters are pretty ridiculous at all times.

Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why? I think certain people will enjoy the offbeat juvenile humour - I guess especially teenage boys. But many others would find it too stupid or offensive in its depiction of women.

Although I could easily dismiss this anime as just another author’s self-insert or indulgent fantasy, I’d much rather believe that the main character’s background is purely a product of imagination—completely detached from any real-life experience. And if, by any chance,it's actually real and some viewers do find it relatable… well, may God bless and bring peace to their souls.

That said, this is an isekai, so don’t set your expectations too high. The story, animation, and music are all fairly average across the board.

As for the plot, it’s your typical “miserable life gets a second chance” setup. But instead of being reborn into a world of ... magic and swords, the protagonist finds himself in a Gundam-esque universe. So, fair warning: if you’re into giant mechs, this show might be right up your alley.

Narratively, it’s nothing groundbreaking. Is it better than most of the bottom-tier isekai? To some extent, yes. Is it entertaining? Definitely—mainly because it’s a revenge story. Speaking of which, the title itself hints at a potentially edgy protagonist, and that assumption would be correct. Still, given everything he’s endured, his darker personality is understandable. It’s what people these days might call a “reasonable crashout.” Even so, he’s far from the edgiest character ever written.

As for the animation and music—both are mediocre at best. It’s clear the studio didn’t allocate much budget to this adaptation. The fight scenes aren’t terrible, but they’re far from impressive. There’s definitely room for improvement.

Overall, this anime is a middle-of-the-road isekai with a familiar premise, decent execution, and a touch of mecha to set it apart. It won’t blow you away, but if you’re in the mood for some light revenge-fueled fun with giant robots, it’s worth a casual watch.

I was really hyped the moment I saw this one getting adapted. Having read and continuing to read it when it gets updated on narou I'm what you could consider a fan, but this anime is simply awful.
 
The original version is the narou's one. The author was actually making a break by writing it.
The lack of an actual roap is felt all along but each arc is actually structured and interesting, making its success unsurprising, as the author being knows, he already had a fan base.
 
Then it got the published novel version. I didn't read it, though I do have read enough to know ... that narou works being published are... A bad thing.
The whole point is that they add parts to make it interesting for the original fans, but success is fleeting and making a new story is a no-do. So those news parts are unimpactful even when they should actually have some consequences, turning them into a complete loss of time.
I had some hope with this author, his success not being simple luck but actual skill, having others work adapted such as Seventh and Otome Game Sekia wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu. But, hope is just hope.
 
Which brings to the manga and after that the anime, which happen to take on the manga sometimes rather than the novel, making it an adaptation of an adaptation of an adaptation of an adaption. Great, I'm sure you can feel the improvement of each step, but... Well, copy/paste actually degrades the original.
 
Now, onto the actual anime. There are 3 things that completely killed the original charm of this work.
 
The first one is the pacing.
The story begins with the Mc fighting then go back into the past to explain how he came to this point. This is a usual trick when the beginning is slow, making an action part that makes you want to watch it so that you stay here while its more boring part comes just right away.
I, didn't like it, because it was cheap and not interesting at all, but even so, I thought that it was used at the beginning only and then there would be the actual story.
But they just kept on going with this dumb pacing, replacing the action part with what was happening to another character in the following episodes.
It is a stupid move because not only it breaks the pacing, but you don't event know the character so... You don't care.
Oh, and it is also a boring typical development so, go luck to even care.
 
The second one is the past of the Mc.
It takes the whole first episode. Does it need to take that much? Is it interesting enough to take 20 minutes? No.
The narou version actually nearly skips it, it is just an introduction after all, a typical way to show how the Mc became like this, you don't need the day.
The anime version though, is sluggish. Nothing to do with the actual story nor anything and yet taking the whole episode. Not only it is bad, but it did worse by changing what happened.
The narou version was slow but it was mentioning how the Mc found his wife lingeries becoming daring, her changing her appearance, some little steps hinting at her cheating in his everyday life. It showed that it was actually a true possibility, having the husband finding small changes and finding out too late on one side. And a typical wife having a hazardous meeting with a bad boy that changed her and broke her life then ditch her out once bored on the other side.
When you learn why it happened, it is logical because just a bit of misfortune can make such a misstep happening.
Now, the anime version though? The wife is just the same, not getting gaudy nor anything. They made his child not his child for whatever reason making the whole cheating story long of at least 7 years. Because of those changes, it isn't just a misstep anymore. The Mc simply wasn't looking at his own family for at least 8 years. How the hell can he be allowed to desire any revenge when it feels completely like his fault? This is simply stupid, borderline comical but they did not try to make it comical.
Let's add that the other guy seems to want to actually marry his wife after it, making it an even more average relationship trouble.
 
The third one is the Mc.
Now, you'll probably don't get it. Even so more if you watched this anime.
The Mc is great. Seriously. The guy always seems pissed off, he doesn't talk much, is straight and full of himself when talking and acting. All that because he has trust trouble coming from his previous life and decided to live for himself. The whole success of the original work comes from him.
The Mc of the anime though? He's just Mc number 19052462. All his reactions are those of a typical Mc. Overreacting, not thinking, having a change of expressions at each sentence, like every other Mc. The guy is boring, They made him the usual Mc. Making the whole work having its charm taken from it.
I know that many have liked the sentence part in the third episode, but it wasn't that long originally. He knew that someone was making use of him and just sentenced, no whole excuse with a traumatizing past scene in it, his past was already talked about, and as such, his choice already explained. That just made the whole scene flattened.
Even the whole Yasushi comical parts became longer and dumber.
What's even the point of looking at his prowess if he isn't someone badass anymore?
