School Days: Valentine Days

ittedly I enjoyed this OVA a degree more than the initial series mainly for the ridiculous, creepy, and wild comedic air at the center of it, plus the fact Itou Makoto is more likable and easy to sympathize with (as far as tormented harem protagonists are), especially with his female peers each forcing him to accept their chocolates (not to mention Taisuke). The story certainly made for a cute extra episode though still could have gone into deeper depth I thought. Actually would have preferred the original series to have had the same amusing tone and writing as this without the convoluted drama.

While I do ... feel for harem protagonists who endure and go through way more craziness than any guy should better yet NEVER have to, it was oddly funny and satisfying watching how Makoto tried to get away from everyone interested in him, never getting a step ahead.

Regardless, this is a hilarious guilty pleasure to watch and made me like the characters slightly more-even though the girls were maniacally creepy. If "School Days" were ever to get a reboot, it would work better as a Rom Com along the lines of this OVA.

well this was a OK OVA about the main series school days. you have 3 girls who like the main character and one overly helpful mom and one crazy little girl. this was certainly a little different than the theme of the main story(they kept the knifes).

the story is pretty much about girls giving chocolates to mokoto for valentines day.

if you liked the series you should watch this.

I still say that the art and sound is good each given 7. So, now basically, they made this anime much more funnier and more enjoyable than compared to the anime itself. I love it when Makoto gets tortured by girls who gave him chocolate.

However, the fact remains is that I am still not symapthetic towards all the characters in School Days. Nice try but no win. 2/10
