Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren!

Rescue! Rescue Training is a short but enjoyable side story that serves as a light, standalone addition to the My Hero Academia universe. Set during the early stages of Class 1-A’s time at U.A., it fits neatly between Season 1 episodes and feels more like an extended bonus episode than a full-blown OVA.

The plot is simple: the students are placed in a mock rescue training exercise, but things quickly spiral out of control when the simulation doesn’t go according to plan. It’s a solid setup that lets a few characters show off their quirks in creative ways, especially in non-combat situations—a refreshing change from the ... usual battles.

While the stakes are low and the story isn’t essential to the main plot, it does a good job of highlighting the teamwork and personalities of Class 1-A. The animation is polished, as expected from Studio Bones, and the pacing keeps things moving briskly through the short runtime.

That said, it doesn’t offer much in of character development or emotional depth. It’s mostly a fun, low-stakes adventure meant to entertain fans rather than advance the story. As such, it feels more like filler—but enjoyable filler nonetheless.

Overall, Rescue! Rescue Training is a fun little detour that’s worth a watch for fans of the series. It won’t blow you away, but it’s a nice bonus with just enough action and charm to earn a 7/10.

Well, there's not much to say here, hehe.
It was a nice fun addition to season 1. Nothing important or necessary, but definitely fun to watch and entertaining.
The character traits were well defined, the battle was enjoyable, and well; having more Boku no Hero content is always nice. The quality of it is obviously not as good as the actual show, but it's only twenty minutes of a short, so it's not a big annoyance.
If you want more MHA content, you can watch this.
It's fun and a nice addition for My Hero Academia, nothing less, nothing more. :)

kinda cool to see the lil 4th wall breaks about them being at the anime fest, hella fan service lol it’s funny thinking back like my hero academia is was more fan servicey than i , i kinda thought it was just a general anime thing way back then when i was first watching it bc at the time i hadn’t seen much other stuff but now years later coming back it’s like they do go there often & now that i've seen more stuff i’ve realized lol. its funny to think back on but yea aside from that idk its aight, def feels like ... a non story made for an anime fest type shit so idk it’s a lil weird but def a time capsule. def a funny lil example of all might being an actual bad teacher though
