Gachiakuta instantly grabbed me with a chaotic mix of wild energy, creative worldbuilding, and a protagonist I connected with right away. The premise is unique and refreshing, and from the very beginning the series never slows down, always pushing forward with something new and exciting. The art is hard to describe — it’s raw and messy in a way that almost feels wrong at first glance, yet the more I read, the more it felt perfect for the world it was creating. That duality makes it stand out visually more than most modern manga, and combined with its inventive designs and gritty atmosphere, it completely ... pulled me in. The cast is one of the most fun I’ve seen in a new gen series, full of characters that feel alive and unpredictable with tons of charm and presence. Every arc brings something new, the action is consistently strong, and I found myself loving nearly every fight and character moment. There’s a surprising amount of heart and depth too, especially in how the world and its rules unfold over time. By the time I caught up, I was completely hooked and honestly a bit devastated to have no more chapters to read. It is a rare kind of addictive, a perfect binge read, and to me it already feels like the standout among the new gen pillars. After finishing over 130 chapters in just a few days, I can safely say this manga lived up to every bit of hype I had going into it and somehow even exceeded it.

Quick review here;
Gachiakuta is a master piece. It will be a banger once it finally gets adapted to anime, but we are here to talk about the manga. The plot isn't something completely new, but so rarely seen in any media (movies, books etc.) it's just refreshing, interesting and so charming I couldn't hold back myself. The author didn't invent anything with the story as well, but the way it's being told is great. Small information from time to time, and slowly building up the world. The mystery and the atmosphere was done with such precision, it's lovely. Zero info dumping and no over explanation. ... The pace is just perfect, and as it was expected from a shounen, the characters are the strongest point of Gachiakuta. All of them have a unique trait, but they don't make it their entire personality. It's so refreshing how Rudo, being a shounen protagonist, isn't just a screaming guy with big ambitions. All of the personalities have multiple layers which makes them a little more interesting. Not to mention the power system! I think it's insanely good, how the author can tell more about a characters background with their "powers". Again, great, unique, never seen before.
And don't let me start a debate about the art style, or we would be here for years! It's similar to Soul Eater, since the two mangakas have some kind of relation, but thats all I know. However, the character design is so cool and humble at the same time, there are no words to describe it. For example, imagine the most badass power creep with a big mouth, and then make him fight with a frickin' spoon! (this one isn't in the manga at the moment I'm writing this, but there might be a small chance there will be)
It's genuinely hard to describe Gachiakuta as whole, since at the first look, there isn't anything new or incredible. Tons of small inventions, smart story telling and the amazing artwork just elevates everything as a whole to a new level. Oh, and did I mentioned that, the pacing is perfect?
Cons: there aren't any. Simply sit down, start reading and enjoy Kei Uranas work. I highly recommend it to anyone! (but mostly to shounen consumers)

I'm going to tell you not show you the Manga, almost impossible to feel immersion in a story that has no subtlety or nuance. You will feel like the characters are talking outside the 4th wall to you, not to their respective cast

100+ chapters and I feel no closer to the world or characters

Some of the art can be really cool but most of the time it's wayyy too visually noisy to read specific scenes or movements properly

And the characters are overtly wacky with caricatured emotions over and over, how many times do we have to see a manic 'This character is not ... mentally well and I only have one way to show it' smile

Hopefully the anime can clean up a lot of the issues in translation but I do think the premise has a lot of promise and the powersystem is certainly unique

Imbuing soul into items and giving a world around you meaning and life has a lot of room to create depth in form of symbolization, unfortunately nothing is ever really portrayed in that manner. Everything is at surface value
