Gotta respect Kai for making his stand no matter how much pain he's in. It's an episode about survival and Kai is the poster representation of that. Jose is back on her feet again so maybe she'll have an important role soon too. |

The episode had the worst plot in the entire show so far, and it just hurt to see a show with some expectations for the plot to improve, only to end up doing worse instead. We have Nada stabbing Kai with a god-killer weapon that apparently steals a Guardian Bearer's strength temporarily, and yet we still see Kai manage to hurt and evade his attacks. Later, when Kai is attacked by the macaques, he not only moves around quickly but even hurts one of them. Like, how does that even work? Then Nada asks Kai to die for humanity and abandon Koror. If Kai could actually do that, then there would be no need for Nada to try to kill him in the first place. So, saying things like this makes no sense if we really think about it. Later in their conversation, Kai tells Nada that he might kill him if he survives. Well, then why did he save him earlier, claiming his body moved on its own? The body doesn't react naturally unless it's something one deeply desires or at least subconsciously feels. And of course later, Kai tries to save Nada, and it starts raining... whatever, I can't even argue anymore. So macaques have a good sense of smell and were able to find the hiding Kai and Nada with it. Okay, then why couldn’t they do the same when Nada was still inside the house while Kai ran outside? How does that make any sense? And how was Kai able to hear Nada then? And how was Nada able to tell Kai where the macaques were attacking from? I'm talking about hearing here. Then later, Nada runs over to tell Kai that one macaque is going to attack from above. Dude, why couldn’t you tell him the same way you did earlier? Feels more like they just needed an excuse to kill Nada here. Of course, it turns out Nada was the one who killed those macaques when Gandal arrived. I knew it. And this idiot does such a predictable thing. That aside, who in their right mind says things out loud like "Open the gate so I can run back to my mama at home," like he did? Who narrates their actions like that? And so much for trying to open the door, when he just cuts the thick rope with ease and runs off on his carriage with no macaques attacking him, even though they were supposed to be right outside. I’ve listed all the things I didn’t like from this episode. Honestly, it’s almost the whole episode pushing some unclear, nonsense scenario with bad writing. |

oh F... the froggy bastard Gandal. He should be the one who gets killed by the macaques, not the villagers. Hope Elsa will be saved. |

Nada might have lived if he didn’t try to kill Kai and steal his power. They could have easily killed those 3 monkeys together. The man was a fool. |

Well, I knew that Inspector was slime, thanks for proving it. But yeah, this episode had the weakest writing of a generally really good show. I hope it recovers next week. |

This just may be the best show this season, finally breaking 10K viewers. They squeezed in more subplots than I’d like but now the homestretch looks exciting and hopefully fulfilling. As with most shows I like, I doubt it’ll get a S2 unfortunately. |

Despite the flaws of the storyline and characters I still feel connected to the quest of this series. I just wish that there was more thought to the sub plots. |

If before this episode the adaptation still had a chance, this series showed that the changes from the original went only to the disadvantage, Kai here is just a shadow of the original hero of the manga and most likely the ranobe too, apparently the original was too cruel for adaptation or I do not know what the reason for these stupid changes. |

@SoulReaper85 The battle with Nada was completely different and it was before the curse ,
further and there was no reconciliation afterwards, and the scene itself looked bloody and Gandal didn't put Elsa in a carriage and didn't run anywhere, he did something much worse. |

The first few episodes really drew me in. The world was gritty and bleak, completely different than most of the anime I've seen recently. So, I was impatient and went ahead and read the LN. I'm glad I did, because it's so much better. Every episode of the anime deviates more from the LN plot than the last. At this point I assume Asahi is just saying "how much can we $hit on the plot of the LN and still call it by the same title." |

Horrible animation. It never had a consistent one, but this episode was painful to watch. This show deserves better and I feel that it's going to get worse in animation. |

Epic episode! While the con-artist did try to kill MC, he still helped him afterwards after having a glimpse of his powers. Nada, I finally won't be seeing this backstabber ever again. I guess it's rather saddening to lose someone who's seeking the truth but at the same time, a kind of relief feeling if you know what I mean... However, Nada forgot someone else. He should have brought the pig who tyrannized the village—and has now kidnapped Elsa... ugly bastard-character until the end?! So, this is what Nada surmised about what happened to the royal family. They became corrupted and evil in their way of life. Lastly, Jose. Jose is gorgeous... 🥰🥰🥰 I'm looking forward to her character's growth. ![]() |
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
