Very generic show that had more potential. the end fight was dumb, why did natsuko keep drawing the same luke over and over again when she saw those were immediately vaporized? And than naked Luke won, eh, ok. I generally had expected more creativity with that power of hers. However, if we ever get a season 2, I'd watch it, because Luke and friends visiting the real world has a lot more potential than the other way round. (we need MORE reverse-isekai anime!) |
If you haven't watched "Fantastic Children", don't talk about "best anime". Thank you. |

That was a very creative and well executed ending, a rarity among anime, where many anime start strong but go batshit insane at the end. I give the anime a 7 overall but the final episode an 8. |

Need season 2 where Luke comes to Reality and dates Natsuko. Probably won't happen. |

@MyllerPhiem Yeah imagine Luke & Memmeln having to navigate everyday modern Japanese living. |

The finale was average, with Memmeln and Unio fighting alongside Natsuko to stop Luke. Their hard-fought battle paid off, good for them—but sadly, Luke won’t be able to stay with his beloved. The ending was neither good nor bad—it was just weird. You can’t seriously call it a happy ending. Like, how is she alive after being drowned in that black liquid? And most of all, how are the ones who died from physical damage somehow still alive?! Too many random things happened. Honestly, the only interesting episodes were from the middle of the series. The only thing this anime really had going for it was the animation—without that, it doesn’t offer much. |

It was a nice show, not in least because of the stunning animation. The disconnect between the real world and the Tale of Perishing was a critical defect, and because of this whatever message from Natsuko's world never penetrated into the anime in-universe. None of the characters in anime world (outside of the original director) are aware of who Natsuko actually is further than 'weirdo magician girl from some other place that fights by drawing things into reality', so they never had any chance of taking part in some creative overarching plot that encomes both universes and has something significant to say. This is largely because the Tale of Perishing is simply far to vapid and basic a world to interact meaningfully with Natsuko et al, and its characters are mostly generic NPCs. I gather this is intentional to make the Tale act as kind of a blank slate. The world had to host Evangelion, Gundam, Nausicaa, TTGL, Utena etc etc and all those industry references too, so to facilitate everything the world had to be basic. This was wholesome in a way but as an artistic statement was detrimental to the show. For example the climax scenes were flawlessly directed but it was difficult to feel strongly about them as the characters were little more than caricatures. 7/10 |

The last episode as tense and awesome. A lot of action and Natsuko drew her best sketch. However, I didn't understand the last moment where we've seen the characters into the real world. |

I absolutely loved the anime and that the ultimate Luke was the Luke she went on a date with. Yet, I have a slight criticism. I was more invested in the love between Destiny and Justice, and it's a shame they never explicitly confirmed it. That said, I love how simple but iconic Netsuko looks with the unicorn horn. I absolutely need to replicate that hairstyle. |

Natsuko's progression and character arc. While, reaching thankfully, the ending that was genuinely built and solidly laid. Is the best single cour non-episodic sequence I have seen in anime to date. Her progression would not have been made. Without the visual acuity to bring her minds eye and the expressed buildup of what; most would see as genius is. A lot more goes on that really does present as logical without fault and a drive that follows suit. As only loser birbs believe anything but a good resolution "concludes" the story. As in the mean streets of the kingdom of reality tragedy is only entertaining because it is the beginning not the end. I love seeing a character well done. To such an extent that even I can relate in part. Even if its done in a manner to best present said rarity in society, that not all of it is 1:1. Thats even better, as I got to grin from start to finish. Knowing exactly who and what type of person Natsuko was. Simply because this is not the first time I've seen in media what is the effect of a Savant on those around them. So I know what to look for when something special, and thorough to historically successful examples of said portrayal presents. I'm glad they swung back to the shows runtime typical Natsuko. And only allowed a short stint of irrationally as viewed outwardly depresso expresso to be served. Because after that setup. It would really have been a tragic tale of perishing to burn that goodwill to the ground. Ie they had us in the final quarter. But three point half court has bin witch just doesn't die. And until the clock clicks there's nothing but net for a true genius's record to grow. Its a team game in the industry. No one is entertained by a one man show, the kingdom of reality demands the best in every role. Thats how a well executed production reaches its audience. Not as the story alone, but in the whole show. Difficult to pull off, but the larger the motions the higher the overtone. As is very clear with how this studio put in and fully got out of Zenshuu. I think it's one of their best, almost enclosed, film-like works yet. I wouldn't mind seeing more like it in the future. |

Sometimes to win a battle you just need to draw with all your heart. Natsuko saved everyone but couldn't stay in this world, can this be called a happy ending? The final scene is just wow! |

Man, what a disappointing ending. The bird is based, happy ending is lame. Pretty good show up until like episode 10, even with the formulaic beginning. The ending kinda pulls it down. |

i knew it would ended like this, but holy shit, i didn't expect this anime to have last battle like that lmao. it basically a tone down 3.0+1.0. while i know there won't be 2nd season coz what else they could make to continue the story, but i legit want to see Luke and Natsuko meet again. i wish they kissed at the end tho :( |

Though hey, who would've thunk, Natsuko got her trusty old pen back, and just guess what she made... the ZENSHUU itself... What could that be you ask? Well, it's none other than fucking Luke himself. You see though, in any other time, I would probably like the fact that Natsuko is pushing herself no matter how hard it is to keep drawing... but they've done actually nothing to make me like the character. I had more emotional attachment to Destiny, so yeah, you'd imagine it was quite sad to see her go away. Then little by little everybody else was vanishing away I guess. Including Natsuko, so she has to make the ultimate Luke... the ZENSHUU himself. Who yeah, looked very cool lol. And hey, we got that confession before she fully vanished out of the world... who know if bro even heard it though. All of it didn't matter in the end, because yayyyy they all lived happily ever after. Hip hip hooray!!!... sigh. I don't know how to feel tbh. I don't really feel closure, but I guess I don't feel like all's wrong. But yeah, there's something wrong. Don't even wanna get into the logistics of that "WHATTT LUKE IS ALSO HERE?!?!?".. because nah. Could've been a purely just me thing, but I could give less of a fuck about the fantasy world... There were so many other ways to tackle this whole fantasy world thing, but they chose easily the most drab one to. If there's anything I'll miss, it's that OP... treuly the best OP of the season, musically. You watch this show with your knee or what🤣 Or you just can't comprehend the story. If you really don't like fantasy why bother watching. Also Zenshuu means fix not Luke 😂 The meaning here the ultimate power that Natsuko can draw to fix(save) Soul Future is the kind of Luke that experience his "HatsuKoi" toward Natsuko. The story is simple. It all connected with Natsuko's anime project (HatsuKoi: First Love). The Tale of Perishing? That's just a movie where Natsuko experience her First Love (Not just toward Luke but the movie itself). The only unrealistic part in the anime is the last scene. To be honest, anime itself is unrealistic. So if you really wanted to condemn about fantasy just don't watch it. |

SHE SAID, SHE SAID THE NAME OF THE SHOW!
Mappa proves that even an isekai can be entertaining if you have good characters and well, good art and animation. And you don't need more than 12 episodes do do that.

This was truly a masterpiece. I don't get all the entitled hate. This was such an emotional ride. I don't think I can really convey how I loved this series. It was a fantastic story, the animation was beautiful, and the music was always fitting. I doubt we will get a second season, but boy would I kill for one. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this possible. Its been a while since an anime has made me feel this way. It was refreshing <3 Natsuko looks so cute now, holy shit. She became a brand new person or possibly reverted back to her old self after reaching rock bottom, it was a much needed wake up call. Personally, I don't think the ending was basic or predictable. I didn't think there was going to be a happy ending. Damn why didn't they kiss?????? 10/10 for me and its going into my top 10. I'm gonna miss them dearly <3 |

insane ending, i was surprised they didnt go a despair route at the end. Was nice to see an isekai had an ending too! The short epilogue at the end was the cherry on top. Overall, satisfying, self-contained, and amazing animation, chef kiss. |

this is the type of BS i dislike, they should have either changed or left out the ending where she vanished and returned to reality, if it has romance/pairing the pair has to have happy ending period 😡 they better make s2 with reunion or ova reunion until then the score will be 1, if they fix it it will be 7 if i would have known this is going to happen i would have skipped this

so, is this isekai or all of this is just a dream? I think this is isekai and she successfully return but reverted back to the way before she ed out. because in the end, Natsuko wearing unicorn horn in her hair. but what happened to the original creator? also, why gate of babylon in there? how the hell Luke gonna come to "reality"? |

I'm satisfied with this ending. I'm just a little sad Natsuko and Luke didn't get their kiss though... I think it's really beautiful how the normal Luke drawings could not win, but when Natsuko drew the Luke she fell in love with he won ❤️ I think we definitely could of used a 13th episode. I would of liked to see how they are doing in their own worlds a bit more. Overall an amazing series, I'm sad to see that others didn't enjoy it as much as I did. |

Everything goes to shit, Natsuko with a last ditch attempt to "fix everything" that bombed A Tale of Perishing which resulted in a completely new ending Yeah this is definitely one of my all-time favourite original shows now, it ticks all the boxes. If I have one thing to complain is that they didn't show the post-return world scenes more, dat Luke real world tease tho AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |

I liked everything up until the last third of this episode, where it didn't match what I was hoping for / expecting. I expected only one soul future to return, created from the love of Luke and Natsuko and not everything to return to how it was before the void attacked. overall I enjoyed the anime |

it was an awesome anime, i wouldn't mind at all having a season 2, as for the ending i think Natsuko was there because she was never part of the story, she can break the rules, doesn't really matter tho it's was nice, great original idea for an isekai theme story, one of the most originals i have seen for sure. Made me wish someone made an anime like Bakuman but based on being anime instead of manga |

Started off pretty rough but really solid anime in my opinion! I typically refer to modern isekai as the "fast food" of storytelling, but this one felt like a nice burger from a mom 'n pop shop. I guess since I'm a creative/artist, the messaging also hit home many times. Went in with zero expectations and came out satisfied. Would love a sequel or OVA to wrap up some loose ends! (Like the moment Natsuko woke up and finished working on the movie or a silly adventure of the crew searching for a way to the "Kingdom of Reality") |

Now THAT is how you end an anime original story. This is how you do a finale. Put our heroes in the most dire of situations, backs against the wall, all hope lost and then give us an amazing come from behind victory. MAPPA put their all star team on this show and it paid off as one of the best anime originals.
Not me predicting exactly how everything would turn out tho 😭 Luke becoming the ultimate void, he and Natsuko love being what brings him back and saves the world. That was always the X factor. He lost the love of his life in the original movie, gained it in this version and Natsuko went back home because she finally experienced her first love. Crazy how right about everything I ended up being but I’m not mad at all because it’s exactly what I wanted!!
Only thing I’m annoyed about is not getting a Luke and Natsuko kiss. Like I get them wanting to go all bittersweet, but cmon I needed that! OVA or spin off manga me please. That “Luke I love you” saved me though.
As expected, Natsuko waking up back in the real world and becoming a more open and kind person, finally seeing everyone in the studio as actual people she can rely on and not just tools to meet a deadline, and she’s wearing her hair up! Somehow the nine soldiers got to reality??! How?! Idk but who cares, I got my Luke and Natsuko reunion now I need to see them married lmao. And yes, that is really them in reality because Unio’s horn is glowing on Natsuko’s head, meaning Unio is really there!!
No I won’t be normal about this series I’m gonna miss them so much 😩
