I commend you on how you aren't telling me how praise worthy the show is or telling me why I should like this show.
Most people I talk to on here tell me I have bad taste because I don't like their favorite anime and tell me how I should like those said shows.

Akukunshu | Dec 19, 2017 8:16 PM
When I was watching it, it was kind of slow and I also hated the time skip, and when the time skip happened I was totally turned off by it.

But when I watched that video it brought up many points that I'd never even thought of...

I might have to watch it again and look at it in a more open-minded point of view!

I want you honest opinion, ok?

How is Gurren Lagann good?

Shidoteki | Jun 20, 2017 5:08 PM
Your taste is amazing <3 <3 <3

TsukuyomiREKT | Jun 1, 2017 11:01 AM
I could ask you the same question.

TsukuyomiREKT | Jun 1, 2017 10:54 AM
That wasn't happening. I only saw one person doing that, everyone else made one long, or multiple comments presenting good arguments. Are you defending him because you agree with him?

TsukuyomiREKT | Jun 1, 2017 10:44 AM
So the aren't allowed to hate a review? "the kinds of people" stop generalizing.

This is a currently fun of quan zhi gao shou. I am sorry to see your commons on "Quan Zhi Gao Shou" yesterday, but still thank you for watching it.

I can see you used to try hard to find out the goodness of this animes from the long review about your feeling, and try to find the reasons people like quan zhi gao shou even it does not attract you at first. And that is why I feel sad about your final disappointed views. I consider MC as a person who smilel all the time while hiding his upset and anger inside, and I find out his real mood from his actions, such as smoking when he is upset. He looks OP in game because he is a pro-player, he know how to fight the boss and can easily defect newbies such asTang Rou. You said strategy doesn't matter when he is concerned, I understand that because they do not show it clearly in the anime. (Detail of Strategys was descirbed in the original novel, but truely it will takes the whole 20 min of a eps if they show all details.) His enemy appeared on eps 5. The development of characters start from eps 6. The reason nobody use classless was explained on eps 7, and also Competitor pro-player who as strong as MC appear. I feel so sorry you do not want to watch it anymore.

Now I am going to say something that you may disagree. Before several weeks, I saw your commons at discussion area. As a fun of quan zhi gao shou, I felt sad about what your feeling on this anime and checked the stats - you have dropped it. However, when I read the review today, I saw your long negative review there. I can understand you said that you hate quan zhi gao shou when you dropped it. In fact I agree that you have your commons about quan zhi gao shou and kind of understand why you feeling that way. Now quan zhi gao shou have 8 episodes already, but you still using your commons on first four eps, that is what I disagree. You are using your own prediction - which is totally different with the real story - to common your point. Quan zhi gao shou may have defects but not what you are saying in your review.

I am sorry about my poor expression and grammar. Still thank you for spending times on Quan zhi gao shou.

Maybe, who knows :) That's true ofc. Ty for the recommendation, although part of what makes me ire Berserk so much, at least in these early stages, is how dark and "depressing" it is, but I'll definitely eventually check it out! Thanks ^^ I'm just not really used to binge reading, and so reading ongoing series is a bit of a struggle for me atm

Well, it's not like I have read much manga to begin with, so that by itself doesn't mean a whole lot xD However, with the many manga that I'm interested in reading, I'm pretty sure my favorites will change significantly, but not my top 5 - where Berserk belongs - eheh. It has such a gripping character-driven story, and it isn't afraid of showing gore and envelop itself with mystery and thrill. I absolutely love it! :)

That makes the time I spent writing it seem worthwhile, thanks random stranger.

Fair enough :p

Not sure what kind of "flaws" you see in Yuasa :/

I hope you enjoy The Tatami Galaxy as much as I did--most of the meat of the show is actually in episodes 6-11. I have so many series on my waiting list that some of them are on the waiting list to be added to my plan-to-watch list (too lazy to go out and find ALL of them). If The Tatami Galaxy still doesn't end up clicking with you by the end (and you just think that it was better, but not great like everyone else), Ping Pong The Animation is a far more engaging series by the same director and with the same amount of episodes, though you will probably have to get used to its art style. While I had to slog through The Tatami Galaxy for a few episodes, there wasn't a single moment I wasn't engaged with Ping Pong The Animation (don't be fooled, it's not about the sport; it's about the characters, but the sport still has some fantastic animation/direction all the way through), AND it has an extremely satisfying ending.

Good luck to you!

I'm just going to say this because I saw your comment about how you felt The Tatami Galaxy wasn't going anywhere. From episode 6 onwards, The Tatami Galaxy gets a lot better. I felt bored after the second or third episode of Tatami Galaxy but kept going because I had nothing better to do on my weekend. It paid off. Episodes 6-8 renewed my interest in the series by managing not to be boring (because it started to actually go somewhere), and they also start to delve into what the show is actually about and the point it is trying to make. I even make the recommendation that you watch episode 1, skip episodes 2-4 (and possibly 5 too) because they are ultimate repetitive and boring. They're also plenty meaningless and lack entertainment value.

So, I was in very much the same boat as you when I was watching The Tatami Galaxy. The only difference is that I finished it despite finding it boring and feeling like it was repetitive, ultimately not going anywhere. Who purports that there's something like a 'rose-coloured college life', anyway? How idealistic and childish can you get? These were the sorts of thoughts that rang through my mind as I debated whether to continue it. After finishing the series, I can tell you that I ended up loving it.

Because I did end up loving it despite being iffy on it midway through, I want to suggest that you someday continue the series from episode 6. Episode 5 is somewhat needed for the story, but you don't really have to watch it. It's also one of my least favourite episodes. On that note, episodes 10 and 11 are my favourite and undoubtedly the best episodes in the series. Episodes 6-8 is my second favourite arc (that's right, arc, of which there are only two in the series) and episode 9 is my third favourite individual episode.

With all of that in mind, I just wanted to tell you that the series pays off. It gets a lot better and the climax is amazing. It's why people rate this so highly in the first place. I'm not going to say this is a masterpiece, because it's not, but it's damn good. I implore you to continue The Tatami Galaxy someday. That's just my 2 cents.

it's not a bashing, it's a warning to people like me who don't want to get trolled by this kind of anime

GiantQAACSleier | Sep 8, 2015 1:05 PM
I hope Haikyuu doesn't get as cliched as KNB. Been very lovely so far.

It’s time to ditch the text file.
