I really wanted to love this, especially since I really like the novels and the anime. It's very pretty, and so much care was put into the drawings! That said, it's largely exposition. The characters don't move around a lot, the action sequences are minimal, and the most focus is definitely on making pretty pictures. Maybe it gets better later on, but I feel it could be more dynamic. And don't get me wrong, they're very pretty pictures! But I feel like the story deserves more. The manhua is hard to follow, text heavy, and lacking movement. It's mostly just a bunch of pretty people ... standing around and talking. I love the story, but I feel the manhua does not do it justice.
